Chapter 781: Chapter 781: Who Are You, Really?_1

"Thousand Wind Swirls!" Kong Jiu shouted, flying level with the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python and forcefully waving the red feather fan in his hand.

The power of the high-level Magic Spirit combined with the might of the divine artifact, caused all the air in the cave to flow on its own accord, morphing into a massive whirlpool and attracting nearby ice chunks into it non-stop.

The Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python sensing danger gaped its mouth wide open, spraying a cold river towards the whirlpool. However, both the water and the ice blocks it ford were sucked into the spinning vortex.

"Go!" Kong Jiu lifted the red feather fan in his hand and fiercely waved it again, changing the course of the whirlpool towards the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python.

The Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python spat out another icy river, albeit to no avail. It imdiately decided not to resist and drilled its head down, quickly subrging its body into the imasurable icy river.

Kong Jiu snorted coldly, flapping the red feather fan to direct the whirlpool ford by "Thousand Wind Swirls" toward the icy river.

Upon touching the water, the whirlpool seed like a monstrous beast opening its gaping mouth, sucking up all the water in the icy river. Gradually, the whirlpool morphed into a water dragon.

As the river dispensed fewer and fewer water, the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python was finally unable to hide. Attempting to escape, Kong Jiu blocked its path. Startled for a mont, it was imdiately swept up by the water dragon whirlpool.

The size of the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python challenged Kong Jiu, who then swung his red feather fan to the side. The rapidly spinning whirlpool violently broke apart, and the river water, ice chunks, and Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python were flung in all directions under centrifugal force.

Kong Jiu hurriedly conjured a shield to protect himself, creating a safe zone in front of him.

With a heavy crash, the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python’s enormous body landed on the ground. Though its life was not in danger, it was undoubtedly injured internally and was unable to rise for quite so ti.

Icy chunks of varying sizes were splattering around, and a soft and delicate moan grazed the air.

Kong Jiu was shocked at first, then joy brightened his face as he yelled, "Qin Sisi, you’re not dead?"

Once discovered, Qin Sisi decided to stop channeling her magic power into the Invisible Grass, gradually revealing herself.

She didn’t look at Kong Jiu but released her magical skills, "Solid as Golden Soup," to block the ice chunks flying towards her.

A mont later, the air vortex lost its power, and tranquility returned to the cave.

Both Qin Sisi and Kong Jiu withdrew their magic skills. The Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python still lay there swaying left and right, apparently, it was significantly affected by the impact.

"Are you okay?" Kong Jiu asked, taking a step towards Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi imdiately took a step back, raising her palm to keep him away and sternly declared, "Stay away!"

Kong Jiu halted, looking at Qin Sisi with profound eyes. There was no jesting smirk from their first eting nor the frostiness from the fight against the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python.

"Who are you, really?" Qin Sisi lifted her chin to look at Kong Jiu, eyes full of vigilance.

If she had doubts about Kong Jiu before, now she was definite that this man had an ulterior motive.

A normal student from Earth Academy casually barges into Heaven Academy, and by pure happenstance encounters her. He drags her into this mysterious cave.

He wore clothes of the sa material as Ye You’s.

The flas he emitted were bewitchingly red, as if imbued with blood, with no hint of other colors – evidently, it was not normal fire.

While Qin Sisi was striving to escape, he didn’t make a move, but after she vanished, he gave the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python a good beating. The strength he exhibited wasn’t sothing an ordinary Earth Academy student would possess.

At the most critical mont, he finally wore his storage ring, and he withdrew a very powerful weapon from it.

Even without Qin Sisi telling him her na, he accurately called out her na.

...

Too many aspects about him struck her as odd. Qin Sisi initially wanted to observe a little longer, but the whirlwind that was kicked up imdiately disintegrated; ice shards splattered onto her.

Throughout the fight and subsequent escape from the Ice-scaled Purple Crystal Python, she had sustained multiple injuries. The sprinkling ice shards landed on her body, and the pain was unbearable, which ultimately exposed her whereabouts to Kong Jiu.

Given the situation, Qin Sisi decided to openly reveal her form; after all, certain things are simply unavoidable.

Kong Jiu watched Qin Sisi silently. He had no idea why he felt a surge of joy in his heart when he discovered she was not dead.

That feeling was not just because he was no longer taking the bla for the Phantom Spirit family.

The two confronted each other for a long ti, and Qin Sisi’s expression did not relax in the slightest.

Kong Jiu finally laughed, the sound carrying a hint of languid fatigue after the battle, "Take a guess."

Qin Sisi faintly dropped her gaze, ntally flipping through the nas of the people around Ye You. One na long absent brought itself to her mind.

"Jiu Ge, Chang Kong Jiu Ge."

Qin Sisi’s lips softly moved, pronouncing the na she had guessed very clearly.

Her voice was clear, like a pearl dropping into a jade dish yet carried an air of dignity. Her words were a lody to Jiu Ge’s ears.

Jiu Ge, one of Ye You’s classmates and the sole son of Changkong family’s i Ji, the Clan Leader.

The Changkong family’s intrinsic attribute is Wind Attribute, and Jiu Ge, who inherits one of the Ninth Great Divine Flas - the Red Lotus Karma Fire, has Wind and Fire magic as his strongest magical attributes.

Plus, he has a divine artifact inherited from the Changkong family - the Thunder Break Fan. In the days when he studied at the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle, even Ye You had to exercise caution when fighting against him.

Jiu Ge looked at Qin Sisi’s solemn face and smiled profoundly.

Even though he hadn’t spoken, Qin Sisi had already read the answer from his smile – she had guessed correctly.

"Why?" Qin Sisi asked.

Given that he was Ye You’s decades-long classmate, and he can call out her na, he should know sothing about her relationship with Ye You, so why was he plotting against her?

Yes, why? Jiu Ge also wanted to know why.

Why did he willingly allow himself to be used by the Phantom Spirit family, knowing they had ill-intentions?

Why is he interested in the woman Ye You is interested in?

Why does he feel regret and anger at the thought of her death?

Why does he feel overjoyed when he learns that she is alive?

Just as Qin Sisi was conflicted about whether Jiu Ge was friend or foe, Jiu Ge was also grappling with his conflicting emotions. Suddenly, a lodious harp sound echoed, the crisp sound was very clear, as if it was close at hand.

Qin Sisi looked around with surprise, but aside from a chilling, bone-piercing cold river, a huge python writhing on the ground and the ice shards scattered everywhere, there were no other objects in sight, much less anything that would produce such a sound.
