Chapter 752: Chapter 752: The War about to Erupt_1

Tian Xiaozi waved his hand, and Mo Bing led his soldiers over General Kui Yong’s corpse, continuing their pursuit of the Panhu family’s migrating caravan.

Tian Xiaozi activated his magic powers and a pair of deep grey wings materialized from his back, assisting him to fly rapidly at the top of the forest. Shortly, he left Mo Bing’s troops quite a distance behind him.

anwhile, the Panhu family and Ye You were still racing towards Scholar City in their carriage. Clan Leader Pu Chen’s face was gloomy, but his eyes conveyed an unshakeable determination.

When the first ray of morning light shone on the dense branches and leaves of the All Souls Forest, Pu Chen finally caught sight of a vast clearing not too far ahead. The end of the All Souls Forest was at hand, and Scholar City was within reach.

A sharp whistle sounded from the first carriage, revitalising the people in the following carriages, who aggressively drove their Green Scale Horses towards the finish line.

Once the last carriage was about dozens of ters away from the boundaries of the All Souls Forest, all carriages started slowing down and ca to a halt.

People climbed out of the carriages, their eyes eting each other’s sight, reflecting the joy and relief of having survived such a dire crisis.

However, Ye You leapt out, silently landing on top of the carriage canopy, looking back in the direction of the All Souls Forest.

A heavy aura of magic swept over him. His gaze hardened, gradually shifting upwards, and stopped at the top of the dense forest.

Standing at the top of a giant tree was a silhouette shrouded in a voluminous black cloak, deep gray wings stretched out from behind.

He stood steadily on a slender tree branch, hands clasped behind his back, his gray hair scattered on his shoulders. His eyes were sharp, unblinking, fixated on Ye You.

Ye You coolly returned the stare, his purple eyes deep and quiet, devoid of any emotional ripples.

The others also discovered the presence of Tian Xiaozi. Most people involuntarily took a step back, their faces losing the joy from earlier, replaced by caution and terror. Their hands subconsciously clenched the weapons they carried.

Simultaneously, more figures slowly materialised within the dense forest, erging from the shadows, becoming clearer and increasing in number.

They were dressed in the guards’ uniforms of the Royal Palace, led by Mo Bing—the pursuers had arrived.

For a ti, the air seed to freeze. The two sides quietly but tensely confronted each other; one party within and one outside the All Souls Forest, separated by just a few dozen ters, the possibility of conflict was imminent.

Ye You had instructed Qin Sisi to stay in the carriage, but sensing the unusual atmosphere, she cautiously stepped out, following the anxious gazes of everyone else, raising her head to see Tian Xiaozi atop the tree.

This was Qin Sisi’s first encounter with Tian Xiaozi—a man in black, with a head of grey hair.

Both Tian Xiaozi and Ye You favored wearing black, but their impact on Qin Sisi was entirely different.

Ye You was like an elf in the dark knight, while Tian Xiaozi seed like a Death God from hell, exuding an oppressive, murderous aura. He seed stronger and colder than Ye You.

Qin Sisi stood beside the carriage, her black dress mysteriously understated, her waist slender. She tilted her head up, her eyes as icy as Ye You’s.

Tian Xiaozi’s gaze passed over her and flickered slightly.

Just when everyone thought that this conflict for power was about to prematurely break out, Tian Xiaozi suddenly turned around. His deep gray magic wings flapped twice, and he swiftly flew deeper into the All Souls Forest, soon disappearing from everyone’s sight.

Watching Tian Xiaozi’s departure, even though baffled, Mo Bing had no choice but to lead his soldiers in turning around, following Tian Xiaozi and swiftly leaving as well.

Seeing the enemy returning into the All Souls Forest, their figures growing distant, the Panhu family’s realization dawned that the conflict would not ensue.

A young man with clear, bright eyes stood next to Pu Chen, fretfully saying, "Grandfather, why aren’t we pursuing them for revenge? Father..."

Pu Chen glanced at him, his gaze darkening. The young man imdiately held his tongue.

Pu Chen sighed, whispering, "He didn’t make a move in Scholar City, so he didn’t break any significant rules. If I were to pursue him, I would be disrespecting his superiority, even if I were right. Furthermore, our powers lie in the open, while his is concealed. I don’t have the confidence of victory.

Besides, considering Ye You’s current situation, it’s inappropriate to reveal his identity. Even if I were to win, he wouldn’t be able to beco the Sage Ruler. There might even be chaos across the land.

Yun Cheng, a gentleman’s revenge can wait ten years. There will always be an opportunity."

This young man was Pu Chen’s grandson, the second son of General Kui Yong, Yun Wang’s younger brother, Yun Cheng.

Hearing his grandfather’s advice, Yun Cheng’s flustered expression gradually cald, yet he fixed a fierce gaze towards the direction Tian Xiaozi disappeared, his eyes glinting with a ray of hatred.

Pu Chen commanded loudly, "All listen, we depart imdiately for Heavenly Magic God’s Castle."

People started responding, so mounting their horses, others returning to their carriages.

Ye You jumped down from the carriage canopy. Just as he was about to join Qin Sisi on the carriage, ng Yu and Lie Feng ca over.

ng Yu, trying to suppress her hurt feelings, said, "Ye You, my carriage broke, can I borrow yours?"

Hearing ng Yu’s words, a few people on the scene turned to look back—the carriage that ng Yu and Lie Feng had been riding had indeed broken. Thanks to the residual impact from the magical combat between General Kui Yong and Mo Bing, a chunk of wood had fallen from the back of the carriage canopy, causing the canopy to tilt.

Jing Jing discreetly glanced at Ye You and Qin Sisi from the side. The carriage was indeed broken, and it seed impossible for them to refuse ng Yu’s request.

Ye You quickly nodded, "Alright, then you guys can get on my carriage."

"Ah," ng Yu let out a joyous smile and nodded gleefully, her steps light as she walked towards Ye You’s carriage. Lie Feng hurried after her and assisted her in climbing onto the carriage.

ng Yu got onto the carriage and looked up to see Ye You co with her, but her face froze in the next mont.

Ye You and Qin Sisi were walking over to the carriage behind them. This carriage belonged to Qing Xun’s personal guard, Jun Ying, who was the only occupant. Even if two more people were added, it would not pose any problems.

ng Yu bit her lip angrily but couldn’t do anything about it, only settling down in Ye You’s carriage under Lie Feng’s urging.

ng Yu’s shifting expressions were witnessed by Jing Jing, who was standing quietly nearby. She found it amusing, though she also felt conflicted. She did not want to share a carriage with ng Yu, but unless invited by Ye You, she didn’t dare and also found it inappropriate to join Ye You and Qin Sisi.
