Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Retribution At Last_1

However, Ye You simply sighed and said, "Go sleep."

Ye You’s voice was gentle. After he finished speaking, he stretched his neck to gently kiss Qin Sisi’s forehead, then hopped onto the bed, curled up at the farthest corner, lay down, and closed his eyes. He knew that if he didn’t sleep, Qin Sisi would never be able to sleep in peace.

Qin Sisi’s cheeks turned a faint red. She touched her forehead and fluttered her sparkling eyes a couple of tis, cracking a shy smile on her lips.

Later on, Qin Sisi went to the bathroom to change into her pajamas, walked to the bed, and lay down. Since capturing the ghost required her to be energetic at night, she needed to rest well during the day.

After Qin Sisi fell asleep, Ye You opened his eyes. Qin Sisi, deep in slumber, had her eyes closed. Her long lashes peeked slightly upwards, and her full, red lips resembled fresh petals under the spring sun. Her clean, simple appearance was like a shy bud, waiting to bloom in early spring.

Ye You gazed at Qin Sisi for a mont, with sweetness and worry intertwining in his heart. He sighed softly, turned his head to look at the clear blue sky outside the window, and fell into deep thought.

By early evening, Qin Sisi woke up. Seeing that Ye You was still fast asleep, she quietly got out of bed, picked up her phone, and stepped outside to make a call to Lin Shan. They chatted about so random things at first, but just when Qin Sisi was about to subtly inquire about Yu Ping’s situation, Lin Shan unhesitatingly brought it up.

"Sisi, sothing happened to Yu Ping that you would never have guessed, she was taken away by the police. Several officers ca to the company asking about Yu Ping today. I overheard soone ntioning that Yu Ping seed to have murdered soone and hid the body in a freezer in the basent..."

Feigning surprise, Qin Sisi responded, "What? No way, that’s horrifying!"

"Yeah, yeah, who would have thought that Yu Ping, normally so well-behaved at the company, would turn out to be such a person."

After the two chatted for a while, Qin Sisi found an excuse to end the call, exhaled slowly, and thought to herself, this matter had been concluded. From then on, whatever happened would be up to the police. No matter what punishnt Yu Ping might face, her life was ruined. Whether or not she was sentenced to death, the rest of her life would be spent in misery and pain.

As the night fell once again, the inky darkness shrouded the clear sky. Everything hidden in the darkness beca mysterious, as if countless untold secrets were waiting to be discovered by the curious and the brave.

With ease, Qin Sisi summoned the Wings of Rainbow and quickly flew above the city. Ye You, as always, stood on Qin Sisi’s shoulder, creating the Invisible Bubble for her while guiding her on their route.

Eventually, they landed in front of a mid-range dining restaurant. Past midnight, the restaurant had already closed, the surroundings eerily quiet.

Qin Sisi, using the Wings of Rainbow, landed at the entrance of the restaurant. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she quickly retracted the Wings. She did all this smoothly and with ease.

Ye You watched and felt satisfied. He then quickly waved his paw and lit the Ziwei Heaven Fire to illuminate the area for Qin Sisi.

Against the ink-black night, the deep purple glow of the Ziwei Heaven Fire flickered mysteriously, adding a touch of eerie magic to the surroundings.

Walking up the steps to the restaurant’s front door, Qin Sisi found a heavy lock. She puckered her lips helplessly and looked to Ye You for help.

Ye You blinked, and a beam of purple light shot toward the lock, instantly unlocking it.

Though she knew that Ye You could pick locks, the simplicity and efficiency of his actions made Qin Sisi exclaim, "If you ever decided to beco a thief, you’d surely be an undefeated thief!"

Ye You’s eyes hardened, and Qin Sisi quickly uttered, "I’m joking, don’t get mad!"

Last ti, when Qin Sisi misunderstood that Ye You might resort to illegal ans to make money, it upset Ye You, so she was sowhat nervous.

However, Ye You simply looked at her deeply and said casually, "Let’s get to work."

"Oh." Qin Sisi obediently responded. She started to concentrate on her surroundings, trying to detect the chill that cos with the presence of a ghost and listen for any unusual sounds nearby.

Very soon, Qin Sisi heard so strange noises from a particular direction. Ye You heard it too. They exchanged a glance, and following the sound walked forward, gradually feeling the ghostly chill on their skin.

Finally, Qin Sisi arrived at a door of a small room. A few large characters were written on it: "Kitchen Area - No Admittance." The strange noises were coming from this kitchen.

Qin Sisi creaked open the door with utmost care and peeked inside. She saw a raggedly dressed, disheveled-haired boy sitting on the floor, clutching a large iron basin full of leftovers and wolfing down the food with gusto.

With her magic powers, Qin Sisi could feel that the boy’s body was insubstantial, and a chilling aura surrounded him. The ghost they were looking for appeared to be him.

Ye You whispered a few words of instruction and then removed the Invisible Bubble. Qin Sisi took a deep breath, pushed open the door, and walked into the kitchen.

The noise of the door startled the boy in the midst of his al. He looked up, a bit flustered as he gaped at the woman who had suddenly appeared before him, seemingly at a loss.

Who would barge in so late at night? Besides, he was a ghost, wasn’t he? Ordinary people shouldn’t be able to see ghosts, right? But why was this lady staring right at him?

A few seconds later, the boy ca to his senses, pushed the iron basin aside, stood up, and ran towards the other side of the wall, seemingly intending to phase through the wall and escape.

Ye You waved his claw and a golden rope shot out instantly, wrapping tightly around the boy’s waist. The boy’s face was almost touching the wall, one of his arms having already phased through. However, once the rope bound him, no matter how much he struggled, he couldn’t move any further.

Ye You gave a slight tug, pulling the boy back. Potentially thrown off balance, the boy slipped and tumbled onto the floor, landing right on his bottom in a basin full of leftovers.

The boy grimaced in pain, grunting a little as he managed to stand up. He glared at Qin Sisi and Ye You, appearing quite vexed.

Qin Sisi felt slightly amused, stepped forward, and asked in a soft voice, "Why are you running, young man?"

The boy retorted irritably, "Enough with the small talk. Since I’m in your hands now, do whatever you want."

Qin Sisi raised her eyebrow; there was a spikiness to his words, probably a rebellious teenager!

Qin Sisi studied the boy carefully. He was probably around 13 or 14 years old, his body skinny and pallid, with only his eyes unusually bright. He wore tattered clothes, the color unidentifiable, and was barefoot with several blisters on his feet.
