Chapter 668: Chapter 668 Mysterious Smile of the Female Sculptor_1

Finally, it was a success, achieved by her own power.

Qin Sisi released a long sigh, the power drain leaving her instantly overco with a wave of exhaustion. She collapsed onto the bed.

Ye You imdiately hopped to her side, his voice filled with tension and concern as he asked, "Sisi, are you okay?"

Qin Sisi’s face was pale, but her eyes were bright. She looked at Ye You, a brilliant smile flickering on her lips, and softly replied, "I’m fine. Just... really tired."

Ye You nodded, raising his paw to gently push a lock of damp hair away from Qin Sisi’s forehead. "Rest well then," he murmured, "Try not to think too much."

Falling silent, Ye You bent his head to gently kiss Qin Sisi’s forehead.

Qin Sisi blinked, her gaze intent on Ye You.

His eyes displayed the stillness of a deep lake, deeply locking gazes with Qin Sisi.

Their eyes t and for a ti neither could bring themselves to look away, as if they were trying to peer deep into each other’s souls.

After a while, Ye You lifted his paw and placed it over Qin Sisi’s eyes, almost whispering, "There, there. Rest now."

Qin Sisi smiled faintly and obediently closed her eyes. She was indeed very tired and quickly fell into deep sleep.

Ye You sat by her side, first checking his own Magic Source. Over the past few days, he hadn’t overused his magical power, so there had been no further deterioration of his Magic Source.

Next, Ye You focused his mind and entered his Portable Space for a few hours of Alchemy training.

After he finished everything, Ye You snuggled up next to Qin Sisi, accompanying her into dreamland.

Her sleep seed exceptionally long. By the ti Qin Sisi woke up, it was already the next morning. And rembering that she had to go to C City first, then back to S City, she hurriedly got up.

After gathering her belongings, Qin Sisi gently placed Ye You in her backpack and headed to the bus station, boarding the bus for C City.

She was bored during the journey and couldn’t talk with Ye You, so she just closed her eyes to feign sleep and focused her mind to check her Magic Source. Seeing the deep yellow color of the Magic Source growing thicker, as well as the five small stars gleaming with different lights, she felt a strong sense of satisfaction, and grew more hopeful for the future.

Three hours later, the bus finally arrived in C City, the capital of Qian Province.

C City was a beautiful city, with grand trees lining both sides of the streets, casting cool and dense shadows. The pedestrians on the streets were mostly leisurely, savoring the gentle passage of ti in tranquility.

Following the tranquil mood of the city, Qin Sisi also felt more serene. With her backpack on, she strolled leisurely along the wide streets.

She purchased so food from a small restaurant by the street. Worried that the store wouldn’t allow pets, she took the food and found a quiet place by the roadside where she could eat with Ye You.

Noticing the ti, Qin Sisi put Ye You back in her backpack, ready to hail a cab to the train station.

While waiting for a taxi, Qin Sisi noticed an incredibly beautiful and luxurious skyscraper across the street. It was a complex mix of rectangular, cylindrical, and triangular geotrical shapes set in rich variety and distance, creating a myriad of silhouettes set against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds.

On both sides of the skyscraper were two massive screens, one of which was displaying a woman in her thirties. She was wearing a grayish-white, very artistic long cotton shirt, had short hair, and was looking down at the entire C City with a mysterious smile.

There was text introducing her: the female sculptor--Luo Wei.

The other screen displayed what was said to be Luo Wei’s most satisfying work. It was a statue of a tall, muscular man in mid-run.

The statue was incredibly lifelike--each muscle of the man, his running gesture, the flapping corner of his clothing, his realistic facial expression, and even the hairs on his head—all were ticulously captured.

Qin Sisi squinted her eyes, silently exclaiming in admiration. It was very realistic, so much so that it gave an impression that the man could leap out from the screen at any mont.

The text beside the sculpture only contained two words which caused Qin Sisi to pause for a mont.

The running man’s sculpture was actually called: My Love.

Why would it be nad like this?

With such a posture, such a style, shouldn’t it be nad sothing like "Running," "Passion," or "Champion"?

Ye You, in her backpack, noticed Qin Sisi wasn’t moving and let out two "ows" before asking, "Sisi, what’s wrong?"

Coming back to her senses, seeing no taxis had co by, she stepped back to a nearby lawn and took Ye You out of her backpack.

"What’s the matter?" Ye You asked in a deep voice.

Pointing at the two large screens across the street, Qin Sisi said, "Nothing big, I just find that woman sculptor and her work sowhat strange."

Ye You turned his head to take a look, then shook his head, "I don’t see any problem. What do you find strange?"

"I can’t exactly put a finger on it, it’s just a feeling," Qin Sisi looked troubled. On second thought, she hesitantly shook her head, "Never mind, maybe I’m just overthinking. Let’s go!"

But Ye You did not move. Instead, he looked into Qin Sisi’s eyes, and said in all seriousness, "Sisi, if you truly feel sothing is wrong, then look for the answer. If you give up too easily, you may miss out on sothing important."

Qin Sisi fell silent for a mont then nodded firmly and said, "Okay, then let’s check out this great female sculptor and her work."

Before that, she took out her phone to cancel today’s train ticket. After so thought, she had it rescheduled for the next day. If they found nothing amiss, there would be no need to waste ti in this city.

After taking care of the ticket, she put Ye You back into her backpack and strolled leisurely into the magnificent skyscraper.

The top floor of the building housed a luxurious revolving restaurant, and the floor beneath an art gallery. The fad female sculptor Luo Wei had an exhibit in the gallery this week, which explained why her advertisents were playing on the screens outside the building.

Qin Sisi took the elevator to the art gallery, and on revealing she did not have an invitation, she was politely asked to purchase a ticket for two hundred yuan.

Being already at the entrance, there was no backing out now. Qin Sisi reluctantly handed over two hundred yuan to buy a ticket to the gallery.

As she entered, a giant poster caught her eye. It held a photograph of the female sculptor, Luo Wei, and so of her sculptures.

The portrait of Luo Wei on the poster was similar to the one on the screen outside. Dressed in a very artistic outfit, she sat on a chair. Her gaze was calm, her lips curved in a smile that seed to float on the surface of her face.
