Chapter 666: Chapter 666 Snake Bone Soil_1
"Are you sure you’re not using too strong a magical force?" Qin Sisi asked with a hint of grievance after repeated failures.
Ye You responded helplessly: "I only use a portion of my strength, and that’s under my own cursed condition."
Feeling utterly frustrated, Qin Sisi turned around and ran into the bathroom.
She washed her face, trying to calm herself, and then comforted and encouraged herself ntally.
When she ca out of the bathroom, she imdiately resud her practice with renewed enthusiasm as if she had been injected with a shot of adrenaline.
When Ye You saw Qin Sisi rush into the bathroom, he thought she was upset. Just when he was about to comfort her, she recovered quickly. Seeing the seriousness and stubbornness on her face, a smile tugged at his lips in both sympathy and admiration.
At nightfall, hidden beneath Ye You’s Invisible Bubble, Qin Sisi summoned the Wings of Rainbow and flew away from their hotel, heading towards Er Lake, the most famous lake in Qian Zhou.
There were not many tourists in this season, leaving the lakeside quiet in the deep night. The cool night breeze, devoid of the dayti’s heat, was refreshing.
Qin Sisi chose an undeveloped area instead of popular sightseeing spots since Er Lake was vast.
After walking along the water’s edge for more than an hour, she arrived at a primitive area. The lakeside was lined with endless forests that seed untouched by human activity.
"How’s this place?" Qin Sisi stopped mid-air and turned to ask Ye You.
After looking around, Ye You responded: "This will do."
Consequently, she landed on the earth, gently guided by the Wings of Rainbow, her feet touching the soft soil.
For safety reasons, Ye You didn’t dismantle the Invisible Bubble. He hopped down from Qin Sisi’s shoulder and walked out of the bubble himself.
Standing on the ground, Ye You’s gaze turned sharp as he silently invoked his magic. A golden aura gathered around the claw he lifted.
When enough magic energy was summoned, Ye You swung his claw with force. With a loud bang, the golden sphere of light exploded, emitting a flash of lightning that struck the soft soil by the lake, instantly creating a large pit in the otherwise flat ground.
Seeing the pit, Qin Sisi’s heart raced. She ran to the edge of the hole and found it to be about two ters deep, enough to serve as the artist’s grave.
As she exhaled in relief, ready to let Ye You place the artist’s remains and paint shards into the pit, a flicker of red light at the bottom of the pit caught her eye.
"I think there’s sothing down there," she said to Ye You hesitantly. Her night vision wasn’t very good, so she wasn’t sure whether there was really a red light or if she mistook it.
On hearing her words, Ye You promptly walked up to the edge of the hole and looked down.
The red light was clearly visible in the black night through his eyes.
"Wait for
up here." Ye You instructed before jumping into the pit.
Qin Sisi stood at the edge of the hole, looking down both anxious and curious about the flickering red light, wondering what it could be.
Ye You tried to pull the object emitting the red light, but it wouldn’t budge. It seed a large part of it was still buried in the soil.
After summoning a bit of magic, Ye You aid his claw at the "red light" and pulled again. To his surprise, the object finally began to move, bit by bit, out of the soil.
Eventually, the object Ye You held in his claws was a linear object about a ter long with a red glow.
Upon examining it, his eyes lit up with excitent.
"Xiao Hei, are you alright?" Qin Sisi asked from above, noticing that Ye You had been standing there for a while as if he was in a daze. She couldn’t help but worry.
Ye You looked up at Qin Sisi, jumped out of the pit gracefully, and landed on the ground. Then in a light-hearted tone, he said, "Congratulations."
"Congratulations?" Qin Sisi blinked in bewildernt. "Why?"
Ye You presented the red-glowing linear object to Qin Sisi, asking, "Guess what this is?"
Giving Ye You a sidelong glance for playing coy, Qin Sisi nevertheless looked carefully at the object. Its dark red glow was indeed eerie, like it was an enchanted object. However, Qin Sisi really couldn’t guess what it was.
Irritated, she said to Ye You, "I really can’t guess what it is. Just tell !"
Ye You’s purple eyes glead as he formally announced, "This is Snake Bone Soil."
"Snake Bone Soil? Is it soil ford from the bones of a snake?" Qin Sisi deduced from the na of the object.
Shaking his head, Ye You said, "Yes, a snake needs to live at least a thousand years for its bones to potentially turn into Snake Bone Soil after death."
"But a snake that has lived for thousands of years should be longer than this, right?" Qin Sisi said, pointing at the Snake Bone Soil that was only about a ter long.
Ye You laughed, "Not all of its bones turn into Snake Bone Soil. Only the most robust part can withstand the onslaught of bacteria and microbes in the soil, and finally, combine with the soil to form Snake Bone Soil."
Qin Sisi nodded in realization, while silently repeating the peculiar term "Snake Bone Soil" in her mind. Suddenly, she noticed the character for "soil" and quickly asked, "Is it called Snake Bone Soil because it’s related to Earth Attribute magic?"
Praising her, Ye You confird, "That’s right. Of your five basic magic attributes, the only one remaining is the Earth Attribute. This can be used to activate it, and moreover, it’s a high-ranking one."
A delighted smile finally appeared on Qin Sisi’s face as she excitedly exclaid, "What luck! This feels like finding sothing without even looking."
Ye You nodded, with a swift move of his paw, he put the Snake Bone Soil into his Portable Space, and advised Qin Sisi, "The activation of a magic attribute needs to be as quiet as possible. Let’s finish what we have to do here and go back soon."
"Okay," Qin Sisi imdiately agreed.
Ye You turned around, flicked his paw, and put the artist’s remains and the black shards of paintings burned by sulfuric acid into the pit. Then he used a Wind Attribute magic to blow the loose soil around into the pit.
Qin Sisi helped fill and level the pit and even stamped on it a few tis to pack the soil tightly.
The artist had ntioned that he liked quietness. Therefore, it was best that his secluded grave would remain undiscovered. They had fulfilled his wish, and now he could rest in peace in the embrace of the beautiful mountains and clear waters.
