Chapter 664: Chapter 664: The Last Full Moon Night_1
The next day, Qin Sisi packed Ye You in her backpack and boarded the train to Qian Zhou.
This journey would take nearly thirty hours. Like the other passengers, Qin Sisi mostly ate bread and instant noodles. When no one was around, she would stuff so bread into her backpack for Ye You.
By the ti they arrived at Qianzhou Station, Qin Sisi felt utterly exhausted from the long journey.
It was afternoon, the scorching sun was burning the earth rcilessly. The mont she stepped out of the train station, the overwhelming heatwave made it difficult even to breathe.
With her body soaked in sweat, Qin Sisi walked a distance carrying her backpack, then found a nearby hotel to stay.
She would not bury the painter’s bones tonight. Today was the night of the full moon on June 15th, and it was also their last full moon night before they were to go to the Demon Sacred Realm. This night was important to both her and Ye You.
After settling down in the hotel, Qin Sisi went to the bathroom to check. As expected, there was a mirror there, only slightly smaller than the one at ho.
Qin Sisi breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing her nervousness, Ye You couldn’t help but feel amused. With a light twitch of his paw, a shiny object appeared on the bed.
Ye You chuckled, "It wouldn’t matter if there was no mirror here, I always carry one with !"
Qin Sisi curved her lips and said softly, "Actually, you didn’t need to bring it. Usually, there’s a mirror in the hotel. Besides, it won’t be needed soon, right?"
As their eyes t, they could both sense each other’s anticipation for the future.
Just then, a knock on the door startled them.
Qin Sisi was startled and whispered to Ye You, "Quick, hide." Pets were not allowed in the hotel.
Ye You imdiately jumped off the bed, not having ti to put away the small mirror. However, when he jumped, his hind leg accidentally kicked the mirror, and with a "crash," the mirror shattered.
Qin Sisi, who was opening the door, was startled, as was the service staff standing at the door.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" The young staff mber asked cautiously.
Qin Sisi glanced back at the shattered mirror on the floor and helplessly replied, "I didn’t place the mirror properly and it fell down and broke. Can you help
clean it up, please?"
"Of course." The staff mber responded, swiftly clearing the floor. As he was leaving, he politely said, "Feel free to call
if you need anything."
Qin Sisi nodded, saw off the staff mber, locked the door, and whispered, "It’s safe now, co out."
Ye You crawled out from under the bed, dusting off his head with his paw, and gave Qin Sisi a helpless and apologetic look.
Qin Sisi swiftly consoled him, "It’s okay. We’ll use the hotel’s mirror tonight, and after tonight, we probably won’t need it, right?"
Ye You replied, "We need it on the evening of July 15th. We need to use the mirror to gather Yin energy to open the ti tunnel."
Qin Sisi nodded and said, "Well, that’s fine. We’ll do it at ho that night. There won’t be any problem."
Ye You thought for a mont, seemingly in agreent. The small mirror, kept on him since he had it, had never been used. Now it seed that it might not be needed.
After nearly thirty hours of journey, both were tired and hungry and gave no further thought to the lost mirror.
Qin Sisi went out and bought plenty of food. They enjoyed a sumptuous al in their room, set the alarm clock, and then started to rest. They didn’t sleep well on the train.
At that ti, they didn’t realize that without that little mirror, they would actually get themselves into big trouble.
At exactly 10:50 p.m., the alarm woke Qin Sisi and Ye You from their dreams.
Ye You stretched lazily and whispered to Qin Sisi, "I’ll wait for you inside."
Qin Sisi nodded, "Hmm."
Watching Ye You enter the bathroom and close the door, Qin Sisi imdiately got up to change her clothes, putting on that beautiful white dress.
She rembered that the first ti she t Ye You in the mirror world, she was wearing this dress.
Entering the bathroom, Ye You was sitting on the wash basin. The basin area was small, so Ye You had moved all the items to the nearby shelf.
Seeing Qin Sisi walk in with the white dress, Ye You’s eyes lit up. He pointed with his paw to the other side of the wash basin, where two white candles were placed.
Qin Sisi picked up the white candles, lit them skillfully using fire magic, and then placed the two candles on both sides of the mirror before turning off the light.
The room dimd suddenly, with only two dim candle flas flickering weakly. The mirror also reflected two candle flas, along with the images of Qin Sisi and a black cat.
Qin Sisi crossed her hands in front of her chest, closed her eyes, cald her mind, and began to chant silently, "One, two, three, four... thirteen."
When she opened her eyes, the black cat in the mirror was gone, replaced by the unforgettable, handso figure of Ye You in his black attire.
They shared a smile, their expressions softened. But a trace of intoxication seeped into Ye You’s face, and a hint of shyness into Qin Sisi’s.
"This is the last ti," Qin Sisi whispered.
"Hmm," Ye You responded softly.
It had to be the last ti. He had to gather eighty-one Soul Powers before July 15th and successfully open the ti tunnel to return to the Demon Sacred Realm. He couldn’t afford any more delays.
The longer it took, the more remote the hope of revenge would beco.
Ye You raised his palm and laid it on the cold surface of the mirror. The palm lines hinting at his fate were clearly visible.
"Give
your hand." Ye You’s voice was low, but it was laced with a faint allure.
Qin Sisi bit her lip shyly, slowly extended her hand, palm-to-palm with Ye You. Only a cold mirror separated them.
Both remained silent for a mont, as if treasuring this rare mont of tenderness and tranquility.
"Is there anything you want to tell ?" Ye You’s purple eyes flashed as he gazed deeply at Qin Sisi.
After a thought, Qin Sisi answered, "I just want to say, no matter what happens in the future, you must stay safe."
Ye You’s lips curved slightly, revealing a faint smile. He murmured, "Don’t worry, I’ll be safe. I’ll also ensure you stay safe."
Qin Sisi lowered her eyes, her emotions a mixture of warm and sour.
After a mont, she took a deep breath and told Ye You, "Tell
more about the Demon Sacred Realm. I want to know more."
In warm tones, Ye You responded, "Alright, what do you want to know?"
After considering for a mont, Qin Sisi said, "Tell
about your family. Who are your relatives in the Demon Sacred Realm and what is their current situation?"
Ye You’s expression stiffened. After a while, with a hoarse voice, he replied, "Sisi, I no longer have any family in the Demon Sacred Realm."
