Chapter 616: Chapter 616 Cultured Grandfather_1
The Silent Drizzle Water Binding skill was too weak to extinguish the flas. Qin Sisi had to cast it several tis before she extinguished the flas completely.
The crisis averted, the young lady, frightened, sat on the ground, catching her breath.
Qin Sisi also sat on the ground due to the mounting tension and fatigue from the continuous use of magic skills—her breathing rapid.
Since the fight with the girl began, Ye You had jumped aside. He knew that Qin Sisi would undoubtedly defeat the ghost, who had been one for only a year.
Seeing both the girls sitting on the ground catching their breath, he couldn’t help but laugh lightly, leisurely striding over to them.
Over ti, Qin Sisi had co to understand Ye You very well, just one look at his eyes told her what he was thinking. Seeing his amused expression, Qin Sisi pouted, complaining discontentedly, "You’re still laughing!"
Ye You hopped onto Qin Sisi’s shoulder and gave her a light peck on the ear, whispering, "You did well."
Qin Sisi shot him a glance, then looked back at the young lady ghost who was in a terrible state. Unable to bear it, she extended her hand and placed it over the lady’s face.
"What are you doing?" The young lady asked apprehensively, trying to pull back a little.
"Stay still." Qin Sisi spoke softly as she gathered the magic power within her and transferred it to her palm. A faint glow emitted from her hand as she gently moved it over the girl’s injuries.
A quarter of an hour later, the young lady regained her lively and adorable deanor, just as she had when she was singing and dancing.
"Can you co with
now?" Qin Sisi asked the young lady, smiling gently.
The young lady rubbed her nose uncertainly and asked tentatively, "Are you really not going to destroy ?"
"I promise." Qin Sisi responded promptly.
"Alright then!" The young lady finally relented. Knowing full well that she could not match up to Qin Sisi, and also due to Qin Sisi’s efforts to put out the fire, led her to trust Qin Sisi more.
Seeing the young lady agreed, Ye You whisked her up into a wisp of smoke, disappearing into his hand.
It was not that he couldn’t take her away directly, but after seeing Qin Sisi’s fondness for the girl and her wish to resolve things peacefully, Ye You decided to wait patiently.
Now that the lady’s ghost was taken away, there would be peace in the campus once again.
Qin Sisi took a deep breath and summoned the Wings of Rainbow, while Ye You activated the Invisible Bubble.
Controlling the Wings of Rainbow, Qin Sisi descended from the top of the dormitory building. When they were close to where Director Liu’s group was, they retracted the Wings of Rainbow and the Invisible Bubble and walked the rest of the distance.
On seeing Qin Sisi return safely, the anxious Director Liu rushed towards her and said, "Sisi, you’ve worried
to death."
Qin Sisi quickly apologized, "Sorry, Director Liu, it was sowhat difficult to handle, thus it took so extra ti."
Qin Sisi admitted that her statent was not just an explanation for her long absence, but also a hint for a reward—who would have guessed that she still owed Ding Jiawang a hundred thousand yuan?
Even though Ding Jiawang said she didn’t have to repay it, Qin Sisi still felt uneasy. She hoped to pay off this debt before leaving.
This university was so big that they certainly wouldn’t be short of money—the more she could earn, the better.
"Are you okay?" Director Liu asked with concern.
"Thank you, Director Liu. I am fine," Qin Sisi politely responded to Director Liu’s concern.
Director Liu looked Qin Sisi up and down. Apart from so dirt on her clothes, everything else seed to be fine. Feeling relieved, he asked, "Did you... catch it?"
Qin Sisi nodded, "Yes, I caught her. There won’t be any problems in the future."
On hearing Qin Sisi’s response, Director Liu and several of the security guards let out a sigh of relief and their expressions relaxed.
"That’s good. I will make a report to the leadership team tomorrow. Don’t worry about your reward," said Director Liu.
Qin Sisi understood the complexities of organizational matters and hence wouldn’t trouble Director Liu. She responded gently, "Waiting a few days won’t be a problem, I trust Director Liu."
Director Liu and his team, having experienced a disturbing night and anxious wait, were now all admiration for Qin Sisi who had brought them clarity.
As it was in the middle of the night, Director Liu asked the security team to continue their patrol while he himself escorted Qin Sisi back to the rest room prepared for her. He advised her to rest there and leave after daybreak.
Qin Sisi wanted to go ho, since at ho she could sleep longer in the morning. However, Director Liu would definitely not agree to a lone girl walking ho in the middle of the night.
Moreover, she was worried that if her courage was too apparent, it might raise suspicions. So, she decided to follow Director Liu’s arrangent and stayed at the University of Science and Technology for the night, only returning ho the next day.
In an unfamiliar place, she wasn’t able to sleep well at all. After eating lunch, Qin Sisi went to bed to take a nap.
Ye You, on the other hand, wasn’t sleepy at all. Seeing Qin Sisi drift into sleep, he set his mind at rest and entered the Portable Space to practice Alchemy.
In the afternoon, Qin Sisi spent five hours practicing the Water Binding Skill, managing to make the Tilting Doll pause for a bit, but quickly, it began to sway again.
Qin Sisi knew she wasn’t quite there yet, so she kept practicing over and over again.
As night fell, after tidying up the room a bit, Qin Sisi asked Ye You to release the ghost of the young lady who liked to sing and dance.
The white mist condensed, forming the figure of the lady ghost. She slowly opened her eyes, looking around the room before resting her gaze on Qin Sisi, "Is this your house?"
Qin Sisi nodded, then added, "It’s rented."
After pursing her lips, the girl said, "It’s quite remarkable for soone your age to be able to rent such a large and well-maintained house."
Scratching her head, Qin Sisi spoke truthfully, "Actually, it’s because there were ghosts in this house, so the rent was very cheap."
The young lady paused before breaking into hearty laughter, saying, "Then you really did get a bargain. You happen to be the person who is least afraid of ghosts."
The girl laughed brightly, and Qin Sisi was sowhat infected by her excitent. She smiled and asked, "My na is Qin Sisi. What’s your na?"
"Uh..." The girl seed slightly embarrassed, hesitating before sharing, "My surna is Qiu."
"Oh." Qin Sisi nodded slightly, looking at Ms. Qiu in confusion. What was her first na? Was it sothing she preferred not to say?
Ms. Qiu cleared her throat and said, "My na was chosen by my grandfather. He’s quite cultured, and he took two characters from the saying, ’There’s a tiger in your heart, delicately sniffing the roses’ to na ."
"There is a tiger in your heart, delicately sniffing the roses." Qin Sisi repeated softly before asking Ms. Qiu, "Qiu Qiangwei?"
"No," replied Ms. Qiu, shaking her head.
Qin Sisi thought a bit more, "Qiu Xinwei?"
"Wrong."
"Qiu Xinqiang?"
Ms. Qiu shook her head again.
