Chapter 611: Chapter 611: Not Seeing Each Other Again is the Best Gift_1

Qi Jiaming walked over to Qi Jialiang, squatting down, his gaze fell on the face that mirrored his own. The anger and resentnt in his eyes slowly faded to leave behind a faint trace of pity.

Having a sibling that shares your exact features is a curious thing. They should have cherished each other and walked the path together. Sohow it led them to this point of exhaustion and despair.

"Jialiang, my little brother, how I wish for your happiness. But, it appears that this dream will never co true."

In Qi Jiaming’s voice lingered an unresolved lancholy. This brother, whom he loved and hated, was a wound he could never fully heal from in this lifeti.

Qi Jiaming gently wiped the tear from the corner of his eye, then stood up and walked to Qin Sisi, saying, "I agree with your suggestion, let’s begin."

He always wanted to be a good person, he never wished to hurt anyone and especially not to rob his own brother of his life. But now he had no other choice.

Qin Sisi and Ye You exchanged glances, nodding slightly in understanding.

As Qin Sisi held onto Ye You, they moved closer to Qi Jialiang. Ye You then jumped down onto the ground, raised his paw, and drew out a densely colored blue light. With a soft shout, he struck Qi Jialiang forcefully on the forehead.

Under the blue light, a faint white fog drifted from Qi Jialiang’s forehead, floating aimlessly in the air.

Before the white fog could take shape, Ye You hopped behind Qi Jiaming and once again wrapped his soul in the blue light.

Under the influence of the magic light, Qi Jiaming’s form gradually turned into a wisp of white smoke. The smoke, driven by the blue light, slowly entered Qi Jialiang’s body.

Ye You did not stop there, however, and continued to envelope Qi Jialiang, who now should be referred to as Qi Jiaming, with the magic light in order to expedite the fusion of the soul with the body.

Perhaps it was because they were twins, with similar bodies and shared bloodline, for the fusion of the soul and the body went incredibly smoothly.

Twenty minutes later, Ye You withdrew the magic light. He took a deep breath then hopped back to Qin Sisi’s shoulder and lay down to rest, eyes closed.

The soul of Qi Jialiang, however, had finally consolidated into a human form. He looked a little confused as he rubbed his head, seemingly befuddled about sothing.

When he bent his head to glance at Qi Jiaming laid out on the ground before him, he froze.

What was going on?

Wasn’t his envy-inducing, dead brother supposed to have...well...passed away?

Killed by his own hand.

How could there be another person in this world who looked exactly like him?

"How can it be? How can it be?"

Qi Jialiang was floored, confusedly mumbling to himself while backing away in terror.

"Qi Jialiang." A clear voice called out.

Qi Jialiang shuddered, taken unawares. He hastily lifted his eyes to see a young woman dressed in black standing in the room, a black cat sitting on her shoulder, both of them coldly watching him.

"Who are you? How co you’re in my...no, in my girlfriend’s house?" In his terror, Qi Jialiang stamred.

Qin Sisi’s expression remained impassive as she patiently corrected him, "You’ve made a mistake. Xiao Wei is not your girlfriend, she is your brother, Qi Jiaming’s girlfriend."

Qi Jialiang paused, then protested in a bewildered fashion after a while, "Right, Qi Jiaming. I am Qi Jiaming."

Qin Sisi frowned, coldly proclaiming, "Qi Jialiang, there’s no such thing as a secret that remains hidden forever in this world. Even now, are you still trying to pretend?"

"No, no, I’m not pretending, I truly am Qi Jiaming. I am the excellent master in History, who’s been a top student since childhood, who’s sensible and obedient. My parents adore , Xiao Wei loves .

Yes, I am Qi Jiaming, I don’t want to be Qi Jialiang, I don’t want to be the Qi Jialiang that neither father loves nor mother adores, the one no one cares for!"

With a hideous expression, Qi Jialiang scread at Qin Sisi.

Without showing any emotions, Qin Sisi questioned, "Qi Jialiang, would Qi Jiaming ever kill his own brother? Would Qi Jiaming take advantage of his own girlfriend? Would Qi Jiaming hurt himself to coerce his girlfriend into marrying him?"

Qi Jialiang felt as if a fist had solidly struck his chest. He staggered back, panted heavily, and collapsed onto the floor. That’s right, would Qi Jiaming ever do such things?

He’s always been calm and composed, never failing to act properly.

The dastard who committed such transgressions, how could he ever be Qi Jiaming?

It’s clearly Qi Jialiang himself!

"Why? Why must I have a twin brother? Why must he excel in every aspect while I appear clumsy and ridiculous in comparison? Why? Why?"

Qi Jialiang’s voice grew softer until it was hardly a whisper, and no one could provide him with the answers he sought.

Qin Sisi softened her tone, saying, "Qi Jialiang, the body you see before you no longer belongs to you. Your brother will continue to live on your behalf. He will protect those who care for you, those you cared for, and make up for the mistakes you’ve committed. I’m convinced he will do a better job.

You, on the other hand, exist now rely as a ghost. Give

your soul power, and I can help you fulfill one last wish."

It was at this mont that Qi Jialiang finally understood what really had happened. He turned his head to look at the body which once was his.

At this ti, Qi Jiaming’s soul and body had finally fused successfully. He slowly opened his eyes, sat up, but as a re mortal now, he could no longer see Qi Jialiang in his spirit form.

But he could still feel Qi Jialiang, very close, and watching him.

Perhaps this was the inherent connection between twins.

"Jialiang," Qi Jiaming gazed into the empty air, his voice faint and calm, "Go with Master Qin. Leave this world that you despise. In the next life, let’s not et again, our permanent farewell, it’s the best gift I could ever give you, so you no longer have to live in my shadow.

Jialiang, do you know? Truthfully, I’ve always been envious of you. You run so fast, you jump so high, you were so skilled at basketball, you shone like a beacon on the basketball court, forever being the center of attention.

So many adorable young girls cheering for you, rooting for you, can’t you see all of them?

I’m sorry, Jialiang, I love Xiao Wei. I can’t let you hurt her anymore."

Tears ran down Qi Jiaming’s cheeks, which he did not wipe away. He rely raised his head, staring into the seemingly empty space.

Qi Jialiang, dumbfounded, watched Qi Jiaming as tears stread down his face. His brother, whom he had always looked up to from a very young age, was actually saying that he envied him.

Tears of the sa nature flowed from Qi Jialiang’s eyes. He slowly squatted down and wrapped his arms around Qi Jiaming, who was sitting on the ground.

It was indeed a pity, for they could no longer feel each other’s presence in this embrace.

"I’m sorry, brother. Never eting again is also the best gift I could give you."
