Chapter 595: Chapter 595 Two Twisted Braids_1

"Hey, beautiful, why are you all alone out here so late?"

Ding Jiawang purposefully adopts a relaxed tone as he greets the braided-haired woman standing before him. He is quite confident in his appearance and believes that even if the woman in front of him is yet to develop any interest in him, she will at least leave with a favourable impression.

Standing half a ter behind Ding Jiawang is Qin Sisi, with Ye You perched on her shoulder. Both of them are watching the braided-haired woman intently.

Upon hearing Ding Jiawang’s slightly magnetic voice, the braided-haired woman trembles slightly before slowly turning around...

What greets Ding Jiawang’s eyes is still a long braid.

"Ah!" Without any ntal preparation, Ding Jiawang lets out a terrified scream before stumbling backward, losing his balance, and falling to the ground.

He stares wide-eyed, breathless, at the woman standing before him—she has two braids.

Her frontal view matches the beautiful back view that once captivated him deeply.

But at this mont, he could no longer feel her beauty.

Qin Sisi is also taken aback and subconsciously steps back. But she doesn’t panic as much as Ding Jiawang since she has t plenty of terrifying ghosts already.

Seeing Ding Jiawang shivering in fear, Qin Sisi hastily steps in front of him, watching the braided-haired woman warily.

However, the braided-haired woman appears to be oblivious of Sisi, her vacant eyes focusing on Ding Jiawang over Sisi’s shoulder.

"Zhi Hui, you’re finally here, I’ve been waiting for you for so long."

A clear and ethereal voice resonates from the braided-haired woman, filled with a touch of sorrow and yearning, and a plaintive sigh.

Qin Sisi is slightly taken aback. Who is Zhi Hui?

Ding Jiawang, whom the braided-haired woman is observing intently, is too panicked to respond; he just slowly backs away on his hands.

The braided-haired woman walks past Qin Sisi and speaks softly to Ding Jiawang, "Zhi Hui, am I now the most beautiful person in your heart?"

Ding Jiawang finally cos to his senses a bit, and frantically responds, "I am not Zhi Hui. You’ve mistaken

for soone else."

The woman sighs, "Zhi Hui, you are engraved on my heart. I could never mistake you for soone else."

"You’re really mistaken. I’m not Zhi Hui. I’m a student in this school; my na is Ding Jiawang." Ding Jiawang declares loudly, pleadingly looking at Qin Sisi as he does so.

Of course, Qin Sisi can’t let anything happen to Ding Jiawang. Seeing that the ghost woman’s attention is focused on him, she turns around and starts to speak up on his behalf, "Miss, you have indeed mistaken him for soone else. He is not Zhi Hui."

Only then does the braided-haired woman shift her focus to compose herself, her deanor, however, suggests that she is sowhat annoyed.

As expected, the woman confronts Qin Sisi in a jealous rage, "Who are you? Why are you with Zhi Hui?"

Qin Sisi is taken aback briefly before responding, "He’s Ding Jiawang, and I’m his bodyguard."

She uses this as an opportunity to remind the woman once again about her case of mistaken identity while also explaining her relationship with Ding Jiawang, to prevent the woman from becoming jealous.

"A bodyguard? My Zhi Hui doesn’t need a bodyguard. You can leave!"

The braided-haired woman coldly brushes off Qin Sisi with that remark before focusing her attention back on Diwang Jiawang and gently says, "Zhi Hui, I have waited so long for you. Now that you’re here, co with ."

"Go where?" Even though he knows she has mistaken him for soone else, Ding Jiawang curiously asks.

"There." The braided-haired woman raises her arm to point in a direction, scaring Ding Jiawang into turning pale as a ghost.

She is pointing at a picturesque lake with sparkling blue waters by their side. Could this ghost have drowned here?

"No, I’m not Zhi Hui. I won’t go with you."

Ding Jiawang is sowhat stunned, gathering his trembling legs to stand up from the ground and then turning to run in the direction opposite her.

The braided-haired woman raises her soft, boneless palm and, gently fans it in her direction. Imdiately, Ding Jiawang feels a chilling wind pushing him backward, preventing him from taking another step forward.

Ding Jiawang’s face turns ashen from terror as he pushes hard to try and run forward while crying out, "Qin Sisi, Master Qin, help!"

Qin Sisi has so far refrained from stepping in because she feels that even though this braided-haired woman does not like her, she has not shown any malintent. She wanted to try and resolve the issue smoothly.

However, seeing Ding Jiawang in imminent danger, Qin Sisi realizes she must step in.

She clenches hold of the Divine Dog’s Fury, which has turned black. But, Qin Sisi does not want to harm the braided-haired woman, so she lands a fierce blow midway between her and Ding Jiawang.

The braided-haired woman, like a ghost, relies on her cultivated spiritual power to wield her spells. Her spiritual power is yin, aning it’s inherently fearful of the extrely yang Divine Dog’s Fury.

The harsh wind slows, creating an opportunity for Ding Jiawang to run off to a safe distance and hide behind a tall tree to observe the situation.

The braided-haired woman, understandably annoyed, turns to look at Qin Sisi and demands, "I finally reunited with Zhi Hui. Why did you have to co between us? Even if you’re a mage, you can’t be unreasonable like this."

A smirk forms on Qin Sisi’s lips. Seeing that the ghost woman is a stickler for principles, she gains faith that their dispute can be resolved via dialogue.

Clearing her throat, she begins, "Miss, as I’ve said before, he is Ding Jiawang, not Zhi Hui. As his bodyguard, it’s my duty to protect him, so of course, I will step in if he is in danger."

Despite both Ding Jiawang and Qin Sisi explaining several tis that the braided-haired woman has mistaken Jiawang’s identity, she certainty still persists, "No, it has been thirty years since we last t, but his image is engraved very clearly on my heart. I could never mistake him."

Seeing the woman’s stubbornness, Qin Sisi’s tone hardens, "But he has told you himself, he is not the one you’re looking for. And you must understand, you are a ghost and he is a mortal. If you were to take him into the water, he would die."

The braided-haired woman is not moved and continues to assert, "Death may not necessarily be the end. It could be a new beginning. We can spend eternity together in our ghostly forms."

Continuing to try and reason with the woman, Qin Sisi advises, "But Miss, love is mutual. If he doesn’t love you, how can you force him?"

"Nonsense!" The braided-haired woman suddenly explodes in anger, "Zhi Hui would never stop loving . He left

because I wasn’t beautiful enough back then, but now, I’ve beco beautiful!

He told

he was fascinated by the sight of my back. Now, both my front and my back are the sa. How can he not love ?"
