Chapter 551: Chapter 551: The Inevitable in Coincidence_1
Although it was deep into the night and the streets were mostly devoid of vehicles and pedestrians, there were still the occasional passers-by. Racing under such circumstances was truly an act of disregard for both their own and others’ lives.
Seeing the group of people courting death, Dong Yansen grew restless.
"Mage, can we start now?" He asked nervously, turning to Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi glanced downwards at Ye You, who gave a small nod of approval. He then leaped onto her shoulder before uttering a soft "ow."
Qin Sisi nodded and turned her head back towards Dong Yansen. "Are you ready?" she asked in a solemn tone.
Taking a deep breath, Dong Yansen replied, "I’m ready."
Qin Sisi then took Dong Yansen and flew directly above Brother Tai. Ye You lifted a paw and swatted heavily above Dong Yansen’s head, commanding, "Go!"
Dong Yansen’s ghost then hovered down toward Brother Tai. Brother Tai, being strong and full of Yang energy, was not an easy target for Dong Yansen to infiltrate.
However, under the influence of Ye You’s magic, Dong Yansen’s ghost entered Brother Tai’s body without any hindrance.
The second Dong Yansen’s ghost invaded, Brother Tai’s consciousness faltered montarily. In that split second, during such high-speed racing, the brief daze was more than enough to be lethal.
The next second, Brother Tai’s motorcycle heavily collided with a rail along the road. The motorcycle flew up into the air, did a 360-degree flip before it crashed onto the ground with a deafening crash.
Brother Tai was flung into the air, rolling several tis before landing with a dull thud, like a lifeless lump of clay discarded by cruel fate into the freezing, dark night.
The trailing motorcyclists zood past cluelessly, startled by the sudden accident. Panicked and unable to react in ti due to their high speeds, chaos ensued.
One motorcycle crashed into Brother Tai’s fallen bike and after sliding several ters, it too tumbled to the ground, throwing off its three riders.
Two others who noticed the danger and attempted to brake skidded due to their speed, injuring all five riders.
Only the last motorcycle, with its slower speed it reacted in ti, managed to stop abruptly and safely right before Brother Tai’s corpse.
Watching the blood stream out of Brother Tai, the two uninjured riders stood frozen in shock, unsure of what to do.
"Eh!" Dong Yansen, looking at the two uninjured riders, said in surprise, "The group that beat
to death doesn’t include these two."
Qin Sisi’s expression slightly changed. They did not step in afterwards. Oftentis, what seed like coincidences might be the workings of an unavoidable force of destiny.
The injured eight woke up gradually. So were dialing for an ambulance, so were groaning in pain, and a few with weaker ntal capacity were even crying.
Just a mont ago, they were gallant young n chasing the wind. Now, they were left with physical pain and fear.
Dong Yansen’s ghost now departed from Brother Tai’s body. Looking at the bloody scene of wailing and crying, he felt both a sense of satisfaction from revenge and humble respect for the fickleness of fate.
Soon, Brother Tai’s ghost also left his body. He looked around at his surroundings in a daze, as though he had yet to grasp what had just happened.
Dong Yansen’s eyes hardened, and he rushed forward, standing before Brother Tai.
Seeing Dong Yansen, Brother Tai was startled and took a few steps back. He stamred, "You...you... are you a human or a ghost?"
Dong Yansen smirked, "What do you think?"
"Weren’t you dead? I was there when they buried you," Brother Tai stared, disbelieving and pale as a ghost.
Anger flared in Dong Yansen’s eyes, he gritted his teeth. "Yes, I was dead. You killed . But do you know why you can see ?"
Brother Tai stared at Dong Yansen confusedly; he truly did not know why he could see a deceased person.
Dong Yansen slowly revealed the truth: "Because, you are dead as well."
Brother Tai’s face instantly paled, and turning around, he finally saw his own bloodstained body.
"No! No!" He ran up to his body trying to help himself up, but to his despair, he was unable to touch his own body.
"You idiots!! Call for help! Help !"
He ran to his buddies and started hitting and kicking them, hoping they would rescue him.
However, no one could hear him or even sensed his existence anymore.
His once domineering, violent fists that had once terrorized others were now just pathetic. He, like Dong Yansen, was but a lonely, unnoticed, uncared for ghost.
Each ghost might contain a Soul Power. When Qin Sisi first saw Brother Tai’s ghost, it struck her to persuade him, but Dong Yansen instantly approached and started a dispute. He then began yelling at his pals, leaving no opportunity for Qin Sisi to talk to him.
Noticing that Brother Tai had finally cald down a bit, Qin Sisi was about to approach when a sudden chilling pressure ca from nearby.
Alard, Qin Sisi quickly looked over to see a figure in a black cloak slowly approaching, its face hidden beneath the hood.
She exchanged glances with Ye You, they both wore resigned expressions.
After the events of their previous brush with the underworld, they were less willing to clash with the ssenger of Death. The underworld with its potent forces and ironclad rules was formidable, even Ye You with his imnse power, could not discount all regulations.
"Forget it, we should leave," Ye You had quickly reached a decision.
Qin Sisi nodded. She took Dong Yansen’s arm, flapped the Wings of Rainbow, and quickly departed from the scene of the accident.
Originals had the potential to be a Soul Power source. Although Brother Tai’s ghost initially resisted his fate, after hearing the pros and cons from the ssenger of Death, he obediently obliged. He had no reason to cling onto the human world and exist as a ghost, enduring a life of hiding in the shadows.
Before leaving, he took one last look at his blood-stained body and his wailing followers. Thinking of Dong Yansen, whom he had personally beat to death, he felt the stirrings of regret, but it was too late.
Soon, the ambulance and police arrived. Brother Tai was already dead, but none of the eight injured riders were critically wounded. All of them were taken to the hospital.
The two uninjured ones were then taken in for questioning by the police.
As investigations went deeper, the fact that this group had been involved in beating Dong Yansen to death ca to light. Except for the last two, all of them were incarcerated soon after their discharge from the hospital.
