Chapter 538: Chapter 538 Full Moon Fullness_1
Liu ngjiao’s ghost was once again taken into Ye You’s portable space by Qin Sisi. This ti, Qin Sisi planned to let her stay inside for a few more days because the full moon night of the Lunar March 15th was approaching.
Just a few days ago when they traveled to the netherworld together, Ye You’s soul had taken on his true form, and they intimately held hands.
Afterwards, seeing Ye You reluctantly change back into his black cat form, the sense of loss and pain in Qin Sisi’s heart beca more poignant.
Even though he was by her side, she still missed him with a longing that shadowed her every move.
She wouldn’t miss any chance to see his true form. For her, it was a sacred ceremony, a grand date, occurring once a month, and she wouldn’t let him down.
Except for that ti she had to catch the vampire and take a rain check, she never missed any full moon nights and would never miss out.
She believed that Ye You shared the sa feelings.
Between the excitent and tornt of waiting, the full moon night finally arrived amidst the anticipation of two hearts longing for this mont.
At eleven o’clock at night, Qin Sisi and Ye You, who were sitting on the sofa, exchanged a aningful look, and Ye You was the first to stand up.
"Wait for you," he said, low and tender. Along with it, a light kiss.
Ye You jumped off the sofa and went to the bathroom, moving leisurely and gracefully.
Qin Sisi watched him from behind, the image of the petite black cat and the handso, mysterious figure in her mind overlapping.
She changed into a white coat and also walked into the bathroom.
Ye You was already sitting on the washstand with two white candles placed next to him.
Qin Sisi pursed her lips, lit the candles with fire magic, placed them on both sides of the mirror, and then turned off the light. The bathroom lighting dimd imdiately.
This had beco a familiar routine etched into her heart. Qin Sisi felt that she might never forget these steps.
In the mirror now reflected her own image and that of the black cat. Qin Sisi looked at the black cat’s purple, glittering eyes and revealed a shy but expectant smile. She wondered if he could see it.
She closed her eyes, crossed her hands over her chest, and ntally counted down, "One, two, three... thirteen."
Qin Sisi slowly opened her eyes to find the handso and gentle face smiling warmly at her from the mirror. his eyes shone like glittering gems, and as clear as the stars above, gazing at her deeply.
The next second, one of Ye You’s palms was touching the cold, hard mirror. His fingers closely brought together, the lines in his palm clear as if they were within reach.
Previously, it was only after they had conversed and the affection had blood, that Ye You made this gesture.
But now, even before they spoke, he extended his hand out to Qin Sisi, showing an impatient anticipation.
Qin Sisi dropped her eyes slightly. At this mont, how could she refuse his tiny invitation?
She slowly lifted her hand and pressed her palm against the mirror, mirroring Ye You’s palm as if she were honoring his promise, "Hold your hand, and grow old with you."
Ye You let out a slow sigh which sounded both satisfied yet regretful.
His fingers slightly curved as if he wanted to hold Qin Sisi’s hand in his own. However, they were still worlds apart.
This ti, Ye You was the more talkative one. He carefully asked about Qin Sisi’s preferences: her taste in food, her style and color of clothes, what she liked to do in her leisure ti, what kind of house she wanted – a luxurious palace or a peaceful cottage in the mountains.
Even more, Ye You asked if Qin Sisi preferred a boy or a girl.
Qin Sisi’s face turned as red as the beautiful sunset on the horizon. She murmured in reply, "That question is coming too soon."
Ye You laughed lightly and said in a soft, coaxing voice, "It’s okay. Just try to think about it."
Qin Sisi lowered her head and was silent for a while before she whispered, "I like both."
She liked both, as long as they were the embodint of their love.
Ye You smiled, tilting his head slightly, looking at Qin Sisi with an appreciative eye. His heart was full of tender love and affection for her.
Finally, their conversation turned to the current situation of the ghost Liu ngjiao.
Qin Sisi sighed with sadness, "She is much more beautiful than Peach. I don’t understand why her husband treated her that way. Is it really true that you stop cherishing what you have once you possess it?"
Ye You pressed his hand harder onto the mirror’s surface as if he was trying to get closer to Qin Sisi.
He looked into her eyes, and said earnestly, "I don’t know about others, but once I am sure about soone, I will never change."
Her heart pounded like a ship tossed and turned by the raging wind and waves. Qin Sisi looked at Ye You in panic, then shyly lowered her gaze again, but a gentle smile still crept onto her lips.
Seeing Qin Sisi always lowering her head, Ye You felt like a feather lightly tickling his heart. He wanted to reach out and hold up her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes and letting the feelings exposed in her eyes lay bare before him.
However, the cold hardness under the palm was reminding him that he couldn’t do that – not yet.
Ye You sighed in annoyance. He could only gaze inch by inch across Qin Sisi’s skin: From her soft hair, to her crescent-like eyebrows, to her eyes slightly hidden behind delicate eyelashes, the elegant nose, to her soft, rosy lips.
Finally, he raised his other hand, his index finger lightly touched the part of the mirror corresponding to Qin Sisi’s lips. His eyes dimd slightly.
Noticing Ye You’s unusual behavior, Qin Sisi was initially puzzled. She looked up at him with a querying glance.
Ye You didn’t explain, only quietly gazing at her, as if he wanted to look straight into her heart.
The candle fla flickered, casting a dim light in the darkness. Ye You’s face beca a play of shadows and light, his expression wasn’t clear, but from his eyes, sparkling like gems and deep like a tranquil pond, Qin Sisi sensed a hint of desire.
Her breath quickened. After spending so much ti with Ye You in his cat form, their intimate feelings were just a nearly transparent thin layer of paper away from being revealed.
"Xiao Hei..." Qin Sisi softly called out, wanting to persuade him to be patient, wanting to ask him to trust, wanting to make promises. So many words she wanted to say, but she didn’t know where to start.
Ye You gave a gentle smile, gazing warmly at Qin Sisi’s increasingly shy and beautiful face, and whispered, "You don’t need to say anything, we both understand, right?"
Under the tender gaze of Ye You, Qin Sisi nodded lightly but firmly.
Ye You sighed quietly and said with regret and reluctance, "Goodbye, Sisi, I will always be by your side."
