Chapter 535: Chapter 535: eting a Bad Person_1

Upon reconsideration, Qin Sisi felt she was overthinking it. What was most important right now was to handle things at hand properly.

Since the future was so unpredictable, what use was there in thinking too much about it?

Her chaotic thoughts gradually beca clearer. After a brief rest, Qin Sisi got up and went to the kitchen to cook. She was hungry after practicing magic for several hours.

After dinner, Qin Sisi sat at her desk to review her magic notes while Ye You entered the Portable Space to practice Alchemy. For a mont, the room was calm and quiet.

By the ti Ye You left the Portable Space and had practiced the Fire Bomb magic skill with Qin Sisi for two hours, it was already late at night.

Qin Sisi’s clothes were soaked with sweat and felt uncomfortable. She bathed and changed into a new set of clothes before sitting down with Ye You in the living room, preparing to have a serious conversation with Liu ngjiao’s ghost.

Ye You lifted his paw and waved it lightly, a cloud of white smoke dispersed, quickly condensing into a pink figure of a woman dressed in a pink nightgown -- Liu ngjiao.

Once the ghost of Liu ngjiao had taken human form, she looked around sowhat dazedly before her gaze fell on Qin Sisi, as she was the only person in the room.

Qin Sisi watched Liu ngjiao, whose spirit seed sowhat strengthened compared to her listless state the day before.

She stood up, a gentle smile on her face, softly said to Liu ngjiao, "Hello ng Jiao, I am Qin Sisi, your fan."

Liu ngjiao gave Qin Sisi a surprised look, and said ruefully, "I’ve been out of showbiz for over three years. Do I still have fans?"

Qin Sisi imdiately nodded vigorously, listing off multiple dramas that Liu ng Jiao had starred in.

A light seed to sparkle in Liu ngjiao’s deathly dull eyes as she murmured, "I didn’t think anyone would rember ."

Seeing that Liu ngjiao’s mood seed improved, Qin Sisi nudged the conversation to the topic of Liu ngjiao leaving showbiz: "When you suddenly announced your withdrawal from showbiz, many fans were reluctant to let you go. But you said you would be very, very happy, so we wished you the best."

There was a gleam of tears in Liu ngjiao’s eyes. She had once forsaken everything for marriage, thinking it would add more joy to her life, but it turned out to be the start of a tragic journey.

Qin Sisi sighed and asked, "ng Jiao, you didn’t live happily, did you? Can you tell

why? I can help you."

"Help ?" Liu ngjiao bitterly laughed in response to what she found to be a hilariously absurd offer. She shook her head in despair. "I’m just a ghost now. How can you possibly help ? I can’t go back. I can never go back."

If she could start all over again, she would never make the sa life choices. Regrettably, ti doesn’t flow backward, and there is no antidote for regret.

Qin Sisi hesitated before asking, "ng Jiao, can you tell

whether your death was a suicide or a murder?"

After a silence, Liu ngjiao replied in a low voice, "I jumped off myself."

"Why?" Although she had speculated, Qin Sisi was still shocked. How had a woman who had once promised to be very happy fallen into such despair in just a few short years?

Liu ngjiao didn’t answer. Her expression returned to the hopelessness of the previous night. Her face was ashen, her lips tightly sealed - she said nothing.

Qin Sisi’s expression grew solemn, and she said in a serious tone, "ng Jiao, I told you last night that I am the contractor of Soul Power. Now, I want to ask you to donate your Soul Power to . In return, I will help realize your unfulfilled wishes from when you were alive, including revenge."

If Liu ngjiao was driven to suicide by jumping off a building, she must have suffered unbearable pain and anguish enough to take her own life.

If injuries during her lifeti went this deeply, Qin Sisi didn’t believe that Liu ngjiao had no resentnt in her heart.

Sure enough, when Liu ngjiao heard Qin Sisi’s words, she looked up at Qin Sisi in surprise and asked hesitantly, "You can help

take revenge?"

Qin Sisi didn’t answer imdiately. Instead, she walked over to her desk, picked up a piece of white paper, flicked her finger, and the paper instantly turned into ashes in a fla of red and yellow fire.

Only after demonstrating this did she look at Liu ngjiao, saying earnestly, "Trust ."

Although the Fire Ignition Skill was a rather rudintary magic skill, for an ordinary person like Liu ngjiao, it seed quite miraculous.

Her expression started changing, shifting among anger, sadness, and agony.

Eventually, she looked up at Qin Sisi, her teeth clenched as she said, "Fine, as long as you help

take my revenge, I am willing to grant you my Soul Power."

Qin Sisi breathed a sigh of relief and said in a gentle but firm voice, "I will definitely not let you down. Now, tell

your story."

She had a premonition that Liu ngjiao’s story was full of twists and turns. Anyone who had been driven to suicide must have experienced trendous pain and despair.

Her speculation was spot on. As for Liu ngjiao, her recollection was indeed filled with pain and despair, with an absurdly lodramatic plot.

The story started with Liu ngjiao leaving showbiz and marrying into a wealthy family to play a full-ti housewife. Although Liu ngjiao was stunning, she never intended to use her beauty to play with emotions. She was genuinely committed to her husband, Ma Liwei.

There’s a saying that "love fades when beauty fades," but it was hardly applicable to Liu ngjiao. Even though her beauty never faded, her husband’s love had grown more and more distant.

During their honeymoon phase, Ma Liwei was very caring and attentive towards Liu ngjiao. However, less than a year into their marriage, his playboy nature surfaced, and he started seeing other won.

Liu ngjiao sensed sothing was amiss and confronted her husband about it. Ma Liwei, however, denied the accusations and even blad Liu ngjiao for not trusting him. The relationship between the two began to deteriorate.

Devastated, Liu ngjiao thought that having a child might keep her husband’s heart by her side.

However, after she got pregnant and since they couldn’t share a bed, the already unfaithful Ma Liwei’s actions beca even more egregious. Citing a busy work schedule, he often wouldn’t co ho at night.

Liu ngjiao spent many nights in tears but felt helpless. Her mother-in-law certainly wouldn’t scold her son and rely made a few noncommittal comforting remarks to Liu ngjiao, then gave her so money, promising that they would take good care of their grandson in the future.

Liu ngjiao could only place her hopes on the child in her womb, trying her best to remain calm to ensure a smooth pregnancy.

When she was seven months pregnant, a strange woman added Liu ngjiao on her social dia platform, claiming to be Ma Liwei’s mistress. She sent Liu ngjiao pictures of the jewelry and luxury cars that Ma Liwei bought for her to flaunt, along with intimate photos of them together. She mocked Liu ngjiao, saying that the married lady of the house was nothing but an outdated, unattractive old wife.
