Chapter 482: Chapter 482 Ghost Ship_1

Upon seeing Jiang Cheng, Jiang Dachuan was taken aback.

This was his own child! His own flesh and blood, his only descendant.

Even though he was trapped by Hu Li and had left the world early, he had not lived in vain with Jiang Cheng existing.

The two gaped at each other for a long while. Finally, it was Jiang Cheng who broke the silence, asking Jiang Dachuan, "Hello, thank you for coming to see my mom."

Jiang Dachuan swallowed the hot tears in his eyes forcefully, opened his mouth to laugh, and said, "So you’re Ah Cheng, huh? Ha-ha..... you’ve grown so big."

These words didn’t seem out of place.

Although Jiang Dachuan died before he turned thirty, as a laborer who lived by fishing, his skin was dark and rough due to the constant exposure to sun and wind. Along with his bearded face, he looked like he was in his forties.

Jiang Cheng didn’t think too much of it, reluctantly squeezing out a smile in response, although the amusent didn’t reach his eyes.

Jiang Dachuan realized sothing was amiss, and his face beca serious. He asked anxiously, "How is your mom?"

Jiang Cheng tried to hold back his tears, answered in a low voice, "She survived. But both her legs were shattered, her nerves are severely damaged. The doctor said she’ll be wheelchair-bound from now on."

Jiang Dachuan’s mouth fell open in shock, an overwhelming sorrow spreading from the bottom of his heart.

When he found out she married Hu Li, he was indeed very upset, perhaps even resentful towards her.

But once he cald down, he began to understand her struggles and helplessness. Regardless of what had transpired, she managed to raise their child.

Just as he was hoping that they would continue to lead a peaceful life, his wife suffered such imnse suffering.

Jiang Dachuan’s lips moved several tis, his voice hoarse as he said, "May I go in to see her?"

Jiang Cheng nodded and gestured "please," leading Jiang Dachuan into the ward.

Knowing that she was an outsider, Qin Sisi chose to stay outside the ward and wait.

Jiang Dachuan followed Jiang Cheng into the ward, finally laying his eyes on the unconscious Han Xiutao.

Of course, he also saw a young girl in her mid-teens.

He knew this was his wife’s daughter with Hu Li. At that mont, he held no resentnt towards her. He rely smiled gently at her before turning his attention to Han Xiutao.

Struggling to control his emotions, he slowly walked over to the bedside and sat down. Looking at his wife’s exhausted face, his heart filled with self-bla and pity.

One of Han Xiutao’s hands was visible from under the blanket. It was thin and frail, age spots already appearing on her skin.

Jiang Dachuan longed to hold that hand tightly, but he knew very well that his current identity as a "neighbor" did not warrant that privilege.

He stared at Han Xiutao, his lips trembling, unable to hold back his urge to burst into tears.

After taking several deep breaths, Jiang Dachuan suppressed his overwhelming emotions and turned to Jiang Cheng to ask, "Is there really... no hope?"

Was Han Xiutao who wasn’t even fifty yet, really destined to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair?

Jiang Cheng silently shook his head, unable to speak.

The young girl also quietly sobbed to herself.

Jiang Dachuan gazed at Han Xiutao with tearful eyes, then suddenly seed to rember sothing and his eyes lit up.

After casting a lingering glance at Han Xiutao, he stood up and said to Jiang Cheng, "For now, take good care of her. Maybe she’ll get better after a while."

Jiang Cheng took these words as comfort and rely sighed in response, "Let’s hope so."

Jiang Dachuan walked over to Jiang Cheng, pat him on the shoulder, and solemnly said, "Good boy, you’ve grown up. From now on, you have to take good care of your mom."

Witnessing Jiang Dachuan from such a close distance, a strange feeling welled up in Jiang Cheng as though he was talking to a familiar elder.

Jiang Dachuan gazed at Jiang Cheng with an expectant look for a mont, then waved his hand, "I am leaving now. Don’t see

out."

With that, Jiang Dachuan stride towards the door of the ward.

From behind, Jiang Cheng called out anxiously, "Wait ... uncle, could you tell

your na? To tell my mother when she wakes up."

Jiang Dachuan paused in his stride, muttered grumpily, "My surna is also Jiang, I live behind your house."

When he finished speaking, Jiang Dachuan had already pushed open the door of the ward and said to Qin Sisi, "Lady ... Mage, let’s go!"

Then, he left hurriedly.

Qin Sisi found it strange. Shouldn’t Jiang Dachuan be worried about his wife who had just had an accident? Why did he leave so hastily?

She didn’t have ti to think further, hurriedly hugged Ye You and followed him out.

Jiang Dachuan found a secluded spot. When Qin Sisi caught up with him, he suddenly turned around and knelt down before her.

Qin Sisi was startled and quickly dodged aside, hurriedly asked, "Uncle, what are you doing? Please stand up."

Jiang Dachuan refused to get up, instead, he changed his kneeling position to face Qin Sisi, his voice choked as he said, "Mage, I know of your powers. Please help Xiutao. Allow her legs to recover."

So it was for Han Xiutao.

Now, Qin Sisi finally understood what Jiang Dachuan wanted. She looked down at Ye You.

As for curing Han Xiutao’s legs, she was certainly incapable. But could Ye You?

Ye You and Qin Sisi exchanged glances, but he didn’t say anything, nor did he nod or shake his head. However, his eyes flickered slightly as he gave Jiang Dachuan a aningful look.

Seeing that Qin Sisi didn’t reply, Jiang Dachuan thought she was hesitant to help, so he made his final plea, "I won’t let the Mage help for nothing. If the Mage wants to collect Soul Power, I can provide a significant clue."

Qin Sisi’s eyes lit up, understanding why Ye You didn’t react earlier. He must have anticipated that Jiang Dachuan would propose a fair exchange.

At this mont, Ye You owed softly twice, as if to say, "I have a solution to cure Han Xiutao’s legs."

Qin Sisi smiled at Ye You appreciatively, took a deep breath, and said to Jiang Dachuan, "Indeed, I have a way to heal Han Xiutao’s legs. Now, share your clue."

Jiang Dachuan thought for a mont then said, "In the sea area I inhabit, a Ghost Ship appears every thirteen days of the lunar calendar."

"Ghost Ship?" Qin Sisi repeated in surprise. Although she had encountered nurous ghosts, this was the first ti she heard of a ghost ship.

Jiang Dachuan nodded, recalling, "The ship appears farther from the shore than where I am. It has sails and the entire ship emits a dim blue glow.

The ship usually appears at midnight on the thirteenth, floats on the sea for half an hour, and then disappears."
