Chapter 468: Chapter 468: Changes in Fortune_1

Now that Zuo Jiayong had agreed to the trade and revealed her wish, it was ti to begin the search for her loved one.

Qin Sisi looked at Zuo Jiayong and said loudly, "Co with , I’ll help you find him as quickly as possible and then take you to see him."

A joyous and excited expression spread over Zuo Jiayong’s face and she nodded energetically.

Ye You, sitting on Qin Sisi’s shoulder, extended a paw towards Zuo Jiayong, gently grasping her ghostly presence into his Portable Space. He then turned to Qin Sisi and said, "The invisibility bubble has worn off. I’ll bring you back."

Sisi nodded. The Wings of Rainbow were too conspicuous, especially at night; they needed to proceed with caution.

Using magic, Ye You conjured a semi-transparent silver sphere that carried Sisi back to the hotel.

Once they returned to the hotel room, it was not yet four in the morning. Qin Sisi requested Ye You to bring out Zuo Jiayong’s ghost, to inquire about Lu Wei’s information.

Details like one’s exact ti of birth, despite being intricately complex, were rarely paid attention to, even among those intimately acquainted. Like others, Zuo Jiayong also didn’t know Lu Wei’s birth ti but she rembered his birthday, ho address, and identification number.

Lacking birth details ant getting help from Lan Di could be sowhat difficult. Thus, Qin Sisi decided to approach a private detective agency.

She was sowhat lucky, as her first ti hiring a private detective agency resulted in not only a high price but also a satisfactory service.

Whenever Qin Sisi needed to find soone and didn’t know the exact birth ti to request Lan Di’s help, she would directly contact this private detective agency. This ti was no exception.

Qin Sisi relayed the information she received about Lu Wei from Zuo Jiayong to the private detective agency. They promised to get back to her as soon as they had news.

Now, all Qin Sisi and Ye You could do was await the news while residing in their hotel room temporarily.

Two days later, Qin Sisi finally received an email from the private detective agency.

Lu Wei was currently living in X City, a coastal city in the southeast. The email included Lu Wei’s place of work and address, accompanied by a picture of him in his work uniform.

The man in the photo had handso features and a gentle smile. At first glance, he appeared to be completely trustworthy.

Qin Sisi brought out the ghost of Zuo Jiayong, asking her to identify if he was indeed the man she was searching for.

Looking at the man in the photo, Zuo Jiayong was instantly in tears. Choking with emotion, she stamred, "It’s him, it’s really him!"

She clung tightly to Qin Sisi’s wrist, pleading, "Hurry, take

to him. I must ask him why he left ."

Qin Sisi comforted her, saying, "Don’t worry. I’ll purchase the tickets imdiately so we can leave as soon as possible."

Zuo Jiayong nodded in desolation. Her tears, like pearls slipping off a string, fell unrestrained. Her tear-streaked face looked all the more pitiful.

Sisi sighed and had Ye You put Zuo Jiayong’s ghost back into the Portable Space, while she herself started buying tickets on her phone.

The date was the ninth of February. Regrettably, the train to X City was booked for the next two days, so Qin Sisi had to purchase tickets for the twelfth of February.

For those idle days, Qin Sisi and Ye You stayed in the hotel room practicing magic during the day and summoned the Wings of Rainbow at night to fly around for a couple of hours, hoping to encounter another wandering ghost like Zuo Jiayong in the middle of the night.

Unfortunately, the subsequent searches yielded no results.

Finally, Qin Sisi and Ye You shared a bitter smile. It felt like they were searching blindly with persistence but finding no success.

Their aimless search ended up serving as a way to practice flying as well as to admire the night view of Z city.

Early in the morning on the twelfth of February, Qin Sisi packed her things, packed Ye You into her backpack, checked out of the hotel, took a taxi to the train station, and boarded the train to the coastal city of X.

By the ti they arrived in X City, it was already the afternoon but still before the general office closing hours.

Qin Sisi, keen to save ti and resolve the matter as quickly as possible, hoped to locate Lu Wei by that night.

So, before getting off the train, she used her phone to confirm the location of Wei’s workplace. As soon as she exited the train station, she imdiately hailed a taxi.

Upon reaching the entrance of Wei’s workplace, Qin Sisi alighted from the taxi. Holding Ye You, she pondered whether to stake out here or to go in and inquire.

Looking at the towering skyscraper in the city center, Qin Sisi felt it unwise to barge in. She suggested waiting outside the entrance for a while since it was almost closing ti anyway.

Ye You did not object. They found a spot not too far from the entrance and sat down to wait.

After a while, Qin Sisi decided it would be best for Ye You to bring out Zuo Jiayong’s ghost again, as she was more familiar with Lu Wei and would be able to quickly identify him if he appeared.

Qin Sisi and Ye You, who had never t Lu Wei in real life before, might not be able to identify him quickly, despite seeing his photo.

Ye You drew a symbol on Zuo Jiayong’s forehead to protect her ghostly form from daylight and released her from the Portable Space.

Zuo Jiayong was confused about her surroundings. Qin Sisi explained their current situation to her, and she finally understood.

Together, they waited nearby for the appearance of the man most familiar to her.

Perhaps luck was finally their way. After waiting for about half an hour, Zuo Jiayong suddenly pointed and said breathlessly, "He’s co out; I saw him."

Chris’ spirits rose. She imdiately stood up and turned to where Zuo Jiayong was pointing. There were indeed several n wearing the sa uniform exiting the main entrance.

Even after seeing Lu Wei’s photo, it took Qin Sisi a little while to ascertain which one was Lu Wei.

The n who exited the building with him were presumably his colleagues. They bid each other farewell at the entrance and departed in various directions.

"Let’s follow him quickly."

Before Qin Sisi could say anything, Zuo Jiayong had already dashed off. Her ghostly figure passed directly through several cars and headed towards Lu Wei.

"Oh..." Qin Sisi watched Zuo Jiayong’s retreating figure, shook her head helplessly. Being a human, she couldn’t move through objects like Zuo Jiayong could. Besides, she had to be mindful of people’s gaze too.

Sisi, hugging Ye You, gave chase and saw Zuo Jiayong following Wei into a subway entrance.

She rembered that pets weren’t allowed in the subway. So, she quickly hid Ye You into her backpack when no one was noticing before swiftly entering the subway station.

Due to the rush hour, the subway station was crowded. Glancing left and right, Qin Sisi finally spotted Zuo Jiayong and Lu Wei. She quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, she didn’t lose them; otherwise, she would be in real trouble.
