Chapter 466: Chapter 466: Suicide Pact_1
"Qin Sisi crossed the sprawling roof deck and arrived at a tiny corner at the edge.
Then, she saw the crying ghost.
A young woman in a white dress was crouching in a dark, ice-cold corner, her face in her hands, sobs racked her body, crying inconsolably.
All happy people are alike; every unhappy person is unhappy in their own way.
Qin Sisi could not guess why the female ghost was heartbroken. She decided to reveal herself and ask directly.
She had Ye You remove the Invisible Bubble, cautiously taking two steps forward, and greeted softly, "Hello."
The ghost twitched. Slowly, she raised her head, staring blankly at Qin Sisi. Surprisingly, her eyes were bloody red.
At that mont, Qin Sisi noticed with astonishnt that blood was trickling down one side of the ghost’s forehead, staining half of her face red. The original beautiful face looked eerie and terrifying.
Her white dress was also splattered with large patches of blood, indicating that her death must have been abysmal.
The female ghost kept silent, just staring at Qin Sisi with those bloody red eyes.
If this were in the past, Qin Sisi would have been creeped out by those blazing red eyes. But after encountering dozens of ghosts and acquiring certain self-protection abilities, she was no longer easily frightened.
Qin Sisi decided to squat down, looking straight into those bloody-red eyes and spoke gently, "I’m a Mage, so I can see you, but don’t worry, I won’t harm you."
The ghost cracked a bitter smile, her voice hoarse, "Am I not miserable enough already? How else could you hurt ?"
Qin Sisi felt slightly relieved, the ghost was willing to talk, indicating there was hope for further communication.
She continued, "You’re crying here alone. There must be sothing distressing for you. Perhaps, I can help."
"Help ?" The ghost’s lips moved faintly, followed by a disappointed shake of her head, "No one can help . There are so many people out there, where do I even start looking?"
Qin Sisi paused, then turned to Ye You, "Can we restore her to the way she looked when she was alive?"
Ye You nodded, raising a claw and shot out a ball of blue light. The light enveloped the ghost.
Not long after, the bloodstains on the ghost’s body gradually disappeared. Her forehead and her whole face beca fair and soft. It revealed a stunningly pretty face, and her eyes had lost their bloody red color, becoming bright and watery.
"You’re very beautiful," Qin Sisi sincerely admired.
"Thank you." The ghost couldn’t believe it and touched her restored face in awe, expressing her gratitude with a choked voice, her eyes filled with tears of joy.
The ghost checked herself over and regretted, "What a pity, there’s no mirror."
Qin Sisi thought for a mont, looking at Ye You again. She seed to recall that Ye You had stored a small mirror in his Portable Space a long ti ago, she wondered if he still had it.
"Reach out," Ye You understood her and said in a deep voice.
Qin Sisi promptly stretched her palm out to Ye You. With a flick of Ye You’s claw, a small mirror appeared in Qin Sisi’s palm.
Qin Sisi sweetly smiled at Ye You, turned and handed the mirror to the ghost.
The ghost took it nervously and began to admire her restored beauty in front of the mirror.
Knowing it in the heart is one thing, seeing it with one’s own eyes is another matter.
The ghost looked at her beautiful face and started crying for joy again.
No woman isn’t vain, she knew that her face had been damaged after her death, which made her extrely sad.
She initially thought that she would have to live with this ugly face forever, never expecting that there would co a day when it would be restored!
Even though she’s just a ghost, at this mont, she felt like she had found hope in absolute despair.
She reluctantly handed the mirror back to Qin Sisi and said gratefully, "Thank you, Mage."
Qin Sisi gave it back to Ye You, and softly replied, "No need for thanks, can you tell
your na first?"
The ghost’s pink lips parted lightly, her voice soft and pleasant, "I’m called Zuo Jiayong, I died last year when I was twenty-four."
Qin Sisi nodded slightly, she could tell that the restoration of her face was very beneficial to Zuo Jiayong. It encouraged her to reveal her na, the ti of her death, and the age she was when she died.
Qin Sisi paused slightly, then asked, "Were you murdered here?"
Zuo Jiayong turned somber, she replied quietly, "No, I jumped from this building on my own."
Qin Sisi looked at Zuo Jiayong in surprise. Why would such a young, beautiful woman choose to commit suicide?
"Why?" Qin Sisi pressed her for an answer.
Zuo Jiayong fell silent, Qin Sisi didn’t urge, those who committed suicide must have encountered sothing incredibly heartbreaking or infuriating in life. Recalling it once ant reliving it once, despite it being a thing of the past, it still hurt.
After a long while, Zuo Jiayong finally spoke, "Because of my boyfriend."
Boyfriend?
Another tragedy sparked by love!
Qin Sisi sighed and continued asking, "Did he want to break up with you?"
Zuo Jiayong shook her head, remained silent for a while then replied, "No, it was his parents who disapproved of our relationship."
Qin Sisi blinked in confusion, hesitated, and asked, "His parents disapproved of you two being together, and you... you committed suicide?"
It didn’t sound quite right.
Zuo Jiayong still shook her head, then lapsed into silence again.
Qin Sisi was getting a little impatient. Why did this ghost always tell only half of the story! However, looking at Zuo Jiayong’s sorrowful expression, she didn’t have the heart to rush her, so she waited patiently.
Finally, Zuo Jiayong spoke again, "His parents were determined to separate us. We didn’t agree, we were genuinely in love, if we can’t be together in life, we may as well be a pair of ghostly lovers then!"
Qin Sisi began to understand. The parents were beating the Mandarin ducks, causing the lover pair to agree to commit suicide together.
Qin Sisi looked around instinctively, she had only found Zuo Jiayong’s ghost after being here so long, she hadn’t detected the presence of any other ghosts. Had she been careless?
Ye You, however, shook his head at Qin Sisi, indicating that there were no other ghosts around with a "ow."
Although Qin Sisi was confused, she trusted Ye You. If Ye You said there were no others, then there weren’t any.
She looked back at Zuo Jiayong and asked, "So did you two jump together?"
This ti, Zuo Jiayong didn’t nod, nor did she shake her head. She answered in a soft voice, "I jumped."
Qin Sisi frowned, "And him?"
Of course, she knew that Zuo Jiayong jumped. Otherwise, why would her ghost be here?
The key point was, what happened to her suicidal pact boyfriend?
On hearing Qin Sisi’s question, Zuo Jiayong suddenly burst into tears. She cried and said, "He didn’t jump, he left, leaving
alone here..."
