Chapter 461: Chapter 461: The Blasphemy of the Evil Spirit_1
After a brief consideration, Qin Sisi responded: "Without witnessing it for myself, I cannot be 100% sure, but I’d say it is highly likely."
A fearful expression appeared on Han Xiaowen’s face, and she looked towards Lin Xiaoyu, seeking his help.
Lin Xiaoyu tightened his grip on her hand and reassured her with a soft voice: "Don’t be afraid, I will stay by your side."
After that, Lin Xiaoyu turned to Qin Sisi and solemnly said, "Sisi, let’s go by your plan, everything is in your hands now."
Lin Xiaoyu’s trust ward Qin Sisi’s heart. She paused, pursed her lips and responded with a deep tone, "Don’t worry, while you protect her, I will protect both of you."
The night grew deeper. At ten o’clock, Lin Xiaoyu accompanied a ntally and physically exhausted Han Xiaowen, tornted by nightmares, to bed.
anwhile, Qin Sisi prepared herself for a night on the couch with Ye You, planning to enter the bedroom an hour later.
With no one around to interrupt, Ye You lifted its head to look at Qin Sisi’s fair face and asked, "Can you explain what ’taking drugs’ ans?"
After a little thought, Qin Sisi explained, "In simple terms, they are substances that can cause addiction. It is said that consuming them can stimulate intense short-term pleasure, leading to addiction that is hard to quit."
Ye You nodded its head, "So, if consud excessively, it could worsen one’s health?"
Qin Sisi seed a little surprised, "Yes, how did you figure it out?"
Ye You responded with a faint smile, "It’s simple. The brief euphoria likely works by numbing the body or the brain. Thus, prolonged use will inevitably cause damage to the body."
Qin Sisi silently nodded, her tone growing more serious, "Not just physical damage, the addiction also has profound psychological effects. Once hooked, it is nearly impossible to stop, and to afford their habit a person might go to extre lengths."
Ye You murmured, "Understood, like Han Xiaowen’s experience."
What kind of normal man would let his girlfriend offer herself to others?
Both of them fell silent, letting ti slowly pass in the quiet tranquility.
When eleven o’clock arrived, Qin Sisi picked up Ye You and gently pushed open the bedroom door.
The room was mainly lit by the dim lamplight, the main light having been switched off.
At the sound of the door opening, Lin Xiaoyu asked softly, "Sisi?"
"Yes," Qin Sisi confird, "Are you both still awake?"
"I... can’t sleep," Han Xiaowen answered huskily.
Whether it was due to recalling past events or emotional exhaustion, despite her heavy eyelids and tiredness, Han Xiaowen’s mind remained clear.
At loss for words, Qin Sisi looked to Ye You, who made a soft "ow" suggesting, "I should use magic to put her to sleep. Only then will the ghost confidently show up, and we can act more swiftly."
Qin Sisi thought it over and agreed with Ye You’s plan. Besides achieving their main aim, she had other considerations as well.
Ye You lightly waved a claw, launching a pale blue light toward Han Xiaowen’s forehead.
Han Xiaowen’s expression slowed, her eyes gradually losing focus, she finally closed her eyes and fell deep into sleep.
"Xiaowen?" Lin Xiaoyu was startled, unsure of what just transpired.
Qin Sisi explained, "Don’t worry, she is just asleep. In this state, it would be easier for us to exorcise the ghost. Plus, I believe, it’s better for her not to see certain things."
After a short contemplation, Lin Xiaoyu understood the aning behind Qin Sisi’s words.
The ghost that has been harassing Han Xiaowen could indeed be her ex-boyfriend, Lian Fei.
Lian Fei is Han Xiaowen’s nightmare. He should not be in her sight. Having Qin Sisi quietly banish Lian Fei’s spirit would be the best outco.
Lin Xiaoyu nodded to Qin Sisi, gratefully saying, "Thank you, Sisi."
Qin Sisi shook her head, gently saying, "No, I should thank you for your trust. Now rest, and no matter what happens, don’t make a sound. Can you promise
that?"
"No problem," Lin Xiaoyu’s reply was determined. Although he couldn’t help Qin Sisi much, he could at least promise not to add trouble.
Since the aim tonight was to sit tight and wait for the ghost, Qin Sisi had told Lin Xiaoyu to not scatter garlic around the room, so as not to drive off the ghost.
Han Xiaowen lay on the bed, her face pale and eyebrows furrowed. Even in her sleep, she seed troubled.
Lin Xiaoyu lay next to Han Xiaowen, clutching her hand tightly, intending to provide her with a sense of warmth and courage.
Qin Sisi and Ye You hid in the Invisible Bubble. If the ghost detected additional presence, it might beco cautious.
Ti ticked away slowly, the Yin energy in the air becoming denser. Midnight finally arrived.
The thick curtains hung to the floor, bringing an eerie stillness to the room. Suddenly, a bone-chilling breeze blew from nowhere, making one shiver when it made contact.
Qin Sisi held her breath and leaned against the wall, carefully observing every change in the room.
Ye You sat on her shoulder, its purple eyes like two fallen stars in the darkness.
After the chilling wind, wisp after wisp of red smoke started to float in the air. The smoke thickened and ford a crimson fog.
The fog morphed gradually, and after several minutes, it took a human form.
The form transitioned from being ethereal to solid, finally manifesting into a man covered in blood and flesh.
If Han Xiaowen had seen this frightening sight, she would have shrieked in terror and perhaps never managed to get over her past trauma.
Because this man covered in blood and flesh was none other than her ex-boyfriend, Lian Fei, who was hit by a car while chasing her down.
Both Qin Sisi and Ye You watched Lian Fei’s moves with grave expressions.
Although the sight of Lian Fei’s ghost, covered in gore, was horrifying, compared to the terrifying severity of the Blood Baby they had faced in Teacher Yang’s house, there was a gap.
Hence, for Qin Sisi, who had already faced quite a few ghosts, tension was all she felt, and not fright.
Upon its manifestation, Lian Fei’s ghost glanced at a sleeping Han Xiaowen, and a sinister smile spread across its bloodied face.
It drifted over to hover around her, then stopped near her and extended a hand, smudged in blood, attempting to touch Han Xiaowen’s cheek and body, its expression lewd.
Even though it was incorporeal and couldn’t physically touch Han Xiaowen, the scene it created still nauseated Qin Sisi.
Regardless of her being his ex-girlfriend, she did not deserve this desecration. More importantly, he had previously hurt Han Xiaowen gravely.
With a flick of her wrist, she grabbed one end of the Divine Dog’s Fury, aid correctly at Lian Fei’s ghost, raised her arm, and violently threw the whip at Lian Fei.
