Following the address provided by the private detective agency, Qin Sisi easily found the building where father and daughter Anhe lived. She ascended smoothly to the eighth floor, picked open the balcony window, and jumped in.
Putting away the Wings of Rainbow, she was left with nothing but darkness.
Qin Sisi frowned, wondering when she would be able to see clearly in the dark like Ye You.
However, the very next second, Ye You kindly stretched out his claw and ignited the Ziwei Heaven Fire, illuminating their surroundings once more.
Qin Sisi let out a small sigh of relief, smiled softly, and turned back to Ye You.
A human, a cat, and a ghost entered the house belonging to Anhe and An Yajing. The balcony led into a spacious living room.
One side of the room was furnished with a set of leather sofas and a redwood coffee table, while a large TV hung on the other wall. Despite the lack of decorations, the style of interior design and furniture hinted at the well-off financial situation of the hoowners.
Qin Sisi walked up to the door of the main bedroom where Anhe was theoretically supposed to be resting.
She gently grasped the doorknob, carefully turned it, and found the door was unlocked. She pushed it open.
The three of them stepped into the master bedroom, which was decently tidy. There was a man sleeping soundly on the bed.
Qin Sisi moved towards the window; the man lay facing upwards on the bed. Under the light of the Ziwei Heaven Fire, she could see that the man’s face resembled the one in the picture of Anhe.
However, compared to the picture, the real man looked a lot older. His wrinkles were much clearer, and his hair was substantially thinner.
Although he appeared to be in his forties in the photograph, he now looked like he was in his fifties.
On the bedside table lay a pair of black-rimd glasses, the sa ones from the photograph.
Qin Sisi could now confirm that the man sleeping soundly in this room was Anhe, the father of An Yajing.
Once this information was established, Qin Sisi left the master bedroom and moved towards the adjacent secondary bedroom.
The door to the second bedroom was open. The room was spick and span; the bed was nicely made, no one was inside.
It appeared that no one stayed in this room.
After pondering for a mont, Qin Sisi turned towards the north side of the house.
If this were a three-bedroom house, then there should be another bedroom on this side.
The master bedroom was Anhe’s and the second one was unoccupied, so An Yajing was likely staying in the third bedroom.
Sure enough, there was a door adjacent to the dining table on the wall. This had to be the third bedroom.
Qin Sisi grasped the doorknob, trying to open the door, but it didn’t move. It was locked.
She had to pull her hand back and glanced back at Ye You.
Lock picking was easy for Ye You.
