Chapter 422: Chapter 422: Vampire on a Full Moon Night_1

On the night of the full moon, the blood of the maiden will secure unchanging beauty, perpetual spring, and flowers that never wilt.

For the past few days, Qin Sisi had been repeating these words she heard from the yellow cat. Her mood was becoming heavier each passing day.

Ye You saw this and felt pity for her, often comforting her, telling her to take things easy.

Qin Sisi trusted Ye You, but this matter still cast a shadow over her heart.

Anxious as she was, the day of the Lantern Festival, the first full moon of the year, finally arrived.

Eager to uncover the truth, Qin Sisi decided to set off earlier. At ten o’clock in the evening, she prepared her kit, stepped onto the balcony with Ye You, and jumped down.

"Wings of Rainbow!"

With a soft cry, a pair of colorful wings spread out behind her, radiating dazzling light.

Ye You’s Invisible Bubble was also activated at the sa ti, hiding the radiance of the Wings of Rainbow in the darkness.

It was a beautiful night of the Lantern Festival. Colorful lanterns hung from buildings and trees on both sides of the street, twinkling rrily, their light reflecting off the bright moon in the night sky.

It was a beautiful night, but all Qin Sisi could think of was the creepy Xiyuan Park, which was teeming with ghosts.

Having been to the park several tis before and knowing the terrain well, Qin Sisi flew straight towards the west without hesitation, her face a picture of calm determination.

After discussing with Ye You, she decided to wait in a spot near the main entrance of the park to avoid missing anything.

In the end, she chose a large tree.

The tree was of great age, towering high with a thick trunk. At a notch in the trunk, Qin Sisi landed and tucked away her Wings of Rainbow.

She reclined against a thick branch, sitting with her knees drawn up, and prepared to wait for the ergence of the middle-aged woman the yellow cat had told her about.

Ye You jumped from Qin Sisi’s shoulder into her embrace and said softly, "Don’t worry, if she shows up, we’ll catch her."

Qin Sisi nodded, held Ye You in her arms, and gently rubbed her cheek against his soft fur.

In response, Ye You planted a gentle kiss on her fair neck.

They nestled together, without speaking a word.

The radiant full moon cast a frost-like glow, parting the darkness of the depths of the night.

Ti slowly ticked away, and temperatures continued dropping.

Around midnight, a frigid gust of wind rustled through the otherwise quiet environnt, stirring a few hanging leaves to make a rustling noise.

Qin Sisi frowned imdiately, holding her breath and observing the surroundings carefully.

A few minutes later, two figures appeared at the entrance of Xiyuan Park and slowly moved into the park, approaching the big tree where Qin Sisi was hiding.

Qin Sisi opened her eyes wide, observing the movents of these two figures attentively.

Only when they got closer could she finally see a bit clearer.

It was as the yellow cat had said: a middle-aged woman leading a little girl in a red dress behind her.

The middle-aged woman wore a large, sturdy black robe. Her build was average with slightly curly short hair. Her face was round and her skin was fair.

The little girl seed to be about ten years old. Even though her eyes were open, her expression was blank as if she was an unthinking dummy being led around by the middle-aged woman.

Qin Sisi bit her lip, her gaze fixated on the two figures, one large and one small.

The middle-aged woman led the little girl towards a bench on the edge of the park’s stone path. She looked back at the little girl, a strange smile on her face.

The middle-aged woman let the little girl lie on the bench, sat down next to her, and sang the eerie rhy in a slow rhythm while gently patting the little girl’s body, "On the night of the full moon, the blood of the maiden..."

Under the calming chant and gentle patting of the middle-aged woman, the little girl gradually closed her eyes, her body lying still on the bench.

Watching the little girl losing consciousness, the corners of the middle-aged woman’s mouth curved up in a sweet and triumphant smile.

Under the bright moonlight, the middle-aged woman’s skin beca even smoother and finer, as though she was looking younger.

While the middle-aged woman was engrossed in this process, suddenly, a gust of wind ca rushing from behind.

The middle-aged woman’s expression froze. She tried to dodge to the side, but it was too late. A black long whip struck her on the left shoulder, tearing her clothes and leaving a long, dark whip mark.

A piercing pain surged from the wound, spreading all over her body. The middle-aged woman groaned in pain before turning fiercely to glare at the young woman who had launched a surprise attack on her. A black long whip was in the young woman’s hand.

The middle-aged woman soon realized that sothing was strange about the wound—it was emitting thin tendrils of black smoke.

Her face darkening, she looked up at the moon and let out a sharp scream. Her entire body turned red, resembling a Blood Man.

The red gradually gathered towards the wound, and when all the red had disappeared, the black whip mark had miraculously vanished, and the skin on her left shoulder was smooth and fair once again.

Qin Sisi looked in surprise at the shocking scene in front of her—this was the first ti she had seen a ghost that could self-heal wounds inflicted by the Divine Dog’s Fury.

Ye You’s eyes narrowed, his purple pupils seed bottomless, revealing no emotion.

The body of the middle-aged woman returned to normal, and her expression beca furious. An intense glare flashed in her eyes as she glared at Qin Sisi.

After nurous battles, Qin Sisi’s psychological state had improved significantly. She quickly recovered from her shock and calmly t the middle-aged woman’s gaze. Firmly gripping the Divine Dog’s Fury, she prepared to continue the fight.

As Qin Sisi locked eyes with the middle-aged woman, she noticed that her face seed to have aged.

Earlier when she had been on the tree, the view hadn’t been too clear. But when she struck her, the woman turned around suddenly, looking to be about forty years old.

Now, as Qin Sisi attentively studied her face, the woman appeared to be about fifty years old.

It was as though she’d used ten years of her life to heal the wound left by Divine Dog’s Fury.

Ye You, standing on Qin Sisi’s shoulder, let out a soft ow and said, "Don’t act impulsively. Let

test her first."

Ye You raised a paw, quietly manipulating magic, and condensed a ball of blue light.

Then, with a flick of his paw, the blue light darted towards the middle-aged woman.

The woman’s expression changed. She swiftly raised both hands, forming a sphere of red light, and flung it forcefully to counter the blue light sent by Ye You.

The red and blue spheres of light collided in mid-air, resulting in a thunderous explosion akin to the sound of a lightning strike.

Qin Sisi was hit by a powerful blast and couldn’t help but step back.

The middle-aged woman remained still as if unaffected by the attack and seeing Qin Sisi stagger backward, a smug smile crossed her face.
