Da Huang was indeed not a high-priced breed, nor was he a common mixed breed dog. He was likely a mix of a pedigree dog and a common breed, which gave him an air of being neither superior nor inferior.
Qin Sisi said, sowhat helplessly: "So, I dare not hope for a wealthy family. I just hope soone is willing to adopt him."
After ponderin for a mont with furrowed brows, Boss Zheng suddenly slapped his hand and said, "Right, do you rember the visit we made to Ding’s Mansion?"
"Of course, I rember." Qin Sisi replied puzzled, not knowing why Boss Zheng suddenly ntioned Ding’s Mansion.
Continuing, Boss Zheng said, "The girl at Ding’s seed to really like animals. I visited them a few days ago and she was begging her parents to get a cat or a dog."
"Jia Yuan?" Qin Sisi ntioned the little girl’s na. Indeed, Jia Yuan really liked animals and had been very enthusiastic towards Ye You.
Boss Zheng nodded, flashing a aningful smile, and slowly said, "Speaking of which, you did them a big favor."
Qin Sisi shrugged and said, "I was just doing my job."
Shaking his head, Boss Zheng clarified, "I’m not talking about exorcising the evil spirit but the fact that you reminded them about the corpse in their basent."
After a mont’s thought, Qin Sisi said, "I did ntion it, but I have no idea what happened afterwards."
Boss Zheng said gravely, "A few days ago, Mr. Ding invited
over for tea and I happened to overhear sothing."
Boss Zheng picked up the teacup from the table, took a sip to moisten his throat, and then narrated, "Mr. Ding announced that he wanted to renovate the basent and hired a construction team. As anticipated, they found skeletal remains there. Everyone was frightened and Mr. Ding imdiately called the police. Afterwards, he filed a civil lawsuit against the previous owner of the villa for nondisclosure. In the end, the seller had to refund Mr. Ding two million yuan."
Two million yuan?
Qin Sisi was speechless, thinking to herself, ’A typical businessman, so shrewd.’
Boss Zheng continued, "Mr. Ding was initially apprehensive about the villa and asked
to co over to check it out. After I reassured him several tis that there won’t be any issues, he finally agreed to continue staying there. He’s grateful for your help and even asked
to invite you over. Seems like you’re quite popular over there!"
Qin Sisi felt a bit overwheld. She hadn’t expected all these events to unfold after she removed Qi Xiaoxia’s ghost.
Prompted by her feelings, she didn’t want to visit Ding’s Mansion again. The switches from scorn to respect by the Ding couple and Jia Yuan’s over-enthusiasm made her feel a bit uneasy.
However, if Jia Yuan could really adopt Da Huang, it would be a pretty good ho for him.
So with that, Qin Sisi said to Boss Zheng, "In that case, please make the arrangents, Uncle Zheng. I would like to take Da Huang to Ding’s Mansion."
Boss Zheng nodded and said, "Alright, I will contact Mr. Ding this evening. I’ll tell him it’s almost Chinese New Year, and we would like to wish him early and thank him for looking after us."
"Alright, I’ll leave everything to you, Uncle Zheng." Qin Sisi knew she wasn’t in a position to directly contact Mr. Ding and had to rely on Boss Zheng to arrange everything.
After discussing the main matters, Qin Sisi continued to chat leisurely with Boss Zheng for a while before taking her leave.
As the Chinese New Year approached, Boss Zheng’s shop was busier than usual, and Qin Sisi didn’t want to disrupt him any longer.
That evening, Qin Sisi received a call from Boss Zheng. He said that the 18th day of lunar December was a good date. They would go to Mr. Ding’s villa in the morning to wish him a happy New Year, and asked Qin Sisi to prepare herself well.
Qin Sisi thanked Boss Zheng, and after hanging up, she thought for a while but couldn’t think of anything she needed to prepare.
In Qin Sisi’s absence, Ye You ran up to Da Huang and communicated with him, telling him that they were taking him to a very good family. He instructed Da Huang to behave well and told him he could be eating at every day if he was able to stay there.
The next day was the 17th day of the lunar December month. Thinking that Da Huang might leave her the next day, Qin Sisi was a little reluctant, so she bought a large chunk of at for Da Huang.
Also, to make Da Huang appear more elegant, Qin Sisi specially bought him a piece of clothing from a pet shop.
Ye You was not very pleased but seeing that Da Huang would be leaving soon and that he had been behaving himself and staying away from Qin Sisi after being warned, Ye You was sowhat satisfied.
So on this last day together, Ye Yu decided to tolerate Da Huang’s presence.
On the morning of the 18th of the lunar month, Qin Sisi dressed Da Huang in his new clothes and set off with her cat and dog.
As the saying goes, "Clothes make the man," and with his new clothes, Da Huang did seem to emanate an air of elegance.
Boss Zheng was waiting in his parked car outside Qin Sisi’s apartnt complex. Qin Sisi got into the car and asked, "Should we get so gifts?"
Boss Zheng pointed to the trunk and said, "Don’t worry, everything is prepared."
Qin Sisi gratefully glanced at Boss Zheng, smiled at him, and didn’t say anything.
She felt that after going through many experiences together, ’thank you’ is not always necessary to express her gratitude to good old friends like Boss Zheng.
After entering the lunar month, the streets were noticeably more crowded, and Boss Zheng drove more slowly than usual. By the ti they arrived at Ding’s Mansion, it was mid-morning.
The security guard must have received instructions in advance as he opened the electric gate to let them in when he saw Boss Zheng’s car approaching.
Boss Zheng parked the car in the parking spot and got off with Qin Sisi.
Normally, even if Boss Zheng wasn’t considered a VIP, at the very least, basic etiquette required Mr. Ding to greet them since they had made prior arrangents.
What was strange was that no one ca out to greet or acknowledge Boss Zheng and Qin Sisi.
