Chapter 313: Chapter 313: The Little Girl in a White Dress_1

In less than twenty minutes, Qin Sisi arrived at her destination—the intersection of Sifang Street.

After a while of searching around the intersection, she didn’t find anything unusual.

Yet, Qin Sisi wasn’t discouraged, because midnight had not yet arrived. It was possible that the ghost’s spiritual power was weak and could only appear at when the Yin energy was the heaviest.

Qin Sisi found a relatively secluded corner to stand in and wait, occasionally conversing with Ye You in a low voice.

The winter evening was freezing. She was sowhat better off thanks to the warm coat Ye You had given her, but her lower legs and feet were chilled in the subzero temperature.

Qin Sisi had no choice but to stomp her feet constantly to alleviate the coldness in her legs.

Ye You looked down at Qin Sisi’s stomping feet, a hint of heartache flickered in his eyes. He raised his claws slightly and two thin red lights emanated from them, shooting into Qin Sisi’s two knees.

Qin Sisi felt a warming sensation slowly radiating from her knees, then slowly extending to her feet, dispelling the cold within her body.

Qin Sisi was feeling pretty comfortable. She released a relaxed sigh, giving Ye You a grateful smile in response.

Seeing Qin Sisi’s now relaxed expression, Ye You also felt a warmth in his heart.

The darkness grew thicker, the temperature dropped, and ti was finally approaching midnight—the ti of day with the heaviest Yin energy.

Finally, there was a growing sense of coldness, different from the physical chill.

As Qin Sisi’s spiritual power strengthened, her ability to perceive ghosts also improved quite a bit.

Qin Sisi exchanged glances with Ye You, carefully sensing the source of the cold Yin energy in the air. Under the cover of the Invisible Bubble, they slowly approached the source.

Finally, Qin Sisi saw a small white figure in the flower bed on the west side of the intersection.

Qin Sisi perked up at the sight and quickly walked over.

Gradually, the white figure beca clearer. It was a little girl around four or five, wearing a snow-white princess dress, her light body seated on a neatly trimd holly shaped like a sphere.

The little girl looked calm, looking at the twinkling stars in the sky while gently shaking her head and singing a song.

She was singing, "In the world, only Mom is the best."

Qin Sisi stopped at a distance. The little girl’s form was indistinct, and the cold Yin energy radiating from her body clearly indicated that she was a ghost.

But she looked so cute. Could she be the culprit behind the nurous small accidents at this intersection?

Although her singing was unprofessional, it was indeed very pleasing to the ear. Her cute appearance was almost heart-lting.

As Qin Sisi listened to the girl’s innocent yet heartfelt song, she didn’t have the heart to interrupt. So, she decided to wait and watch.

The little girl only sang that one song, singing it over and over. Her delicate voice was like the first light pink bud that blood in early spring, blossoming lonely in the middle of this cold winter night.

Seeing the pity on Qin Sisi’s face, Ye You didn’t rush her and waited beside her.

It wasn’t until there was only ten minutes left until the Invisible Bubble vanished that Ye You reminded Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi hesitated as she looked at the singing little girl. The night, the stars, the innocent singing, the little girl in a white princess dress; it was like a beautiful painting she didn’t want to spoil.

She even doubted her own judgent, that the inventor of the accidents couldn’t be this little girl—even if she was a ghost.

But Ye You needed soul power, and the girl’s singing exuded a hint of sadness. She probably also had a wish that hadn’t been fulfilled!

Just as Qin Sisi was about to greet the little girl, a car headlight flashed in the distance and a car ca speeding.

The little girl’s song abruptly stopped. She turned her head to look at the incoming car, her calm face suddenly twisted into a hateful, angry expression.

Just as the car was about to reach the spot, the little girl’s figure suddenly floated up, stopping right in front of the car. Her white princess dress began to glow, a very bright light piercing through the darkness of the night and montarily blinding the driver.

In a situation similar to what happened with Boss Zheng, the driver stepped hard on the brakes in his panic. The vehicle swerved, its front spinning half a circle as it headed towards the flower bed’s wall.

Qin Sisi was so worried she almost scread out loud.

A mont seed to be split in two.

Ye You raised his claw, and a silver-white light flew towards the front of the car at high speed. The light transford into sothing soft and cushioning, intervening between the front of the car and the flower bed.

It was as if the car had first hit a thick wad of cotton before hitting the flower bed.

However, this driver was driving faster than Boss Zheng. The powerful impact plunged the driver into a brief coma.

Not hearing the expected sound of impact, the little girl’s cherubic face showed a hint of confusion.

The events that unfolded snapped Qin Sisi back to reality. Without a doubt, the culprit behind all these small accidents was this adorable little girl right in front of her.

Fearing that the little girl might cause more harm, once she saw the car was unhard, Qin Sisi imdiately held Divine Dog’s Fury and charged at the little girl.

Qin Sisi held Divine Dog’s Fury up to her chest, ready to attack or defend as necessary.

But the little girl made no further moves, simply staring wide-eyed at Qin Sisi who had suddenly appeared.

The little girl didn’t make any other moves, and naturally Qin Sisi didn’t have the heart to strike out with Divine Dog’s Fury either.

Seeing that there was very little ti left for the Invisible Bubble, Ye You didn’t stop to think. He darted forward, swiping his claw harshly in the little girl’s direction. The little girl’s ghost form was sucked into his Portable Space.

Ye You jumped onto Qin Sisi’s shoulder, his voice urgent as he said, "We need to go, there are only five minutes left."

Qin Sisi felt a tightening in her heart. She imdiately summoned Wings of Rainbow, flapped the brightly coloured wings, and flew towards her ho under the cover of the Invisible Bubble.

Five minutes was not enough to return ho. When ti was up, to avoid being seen by others, Qin Sisi recalled Wings of Rainbow.

Afterwards, Ye You used magic to form a silver sphere. Inside it, he and Qin Sisi returned to their residence.

After a brief rest, Qin Sisi urged Ye You to release the little girl’s ghost to talk with her.

Seeing the seriousness and urgency in Qin Sisi’s expression, Ye You could only ignore the evident fatigue in her face and released the little girl’s ghost from the Portable Space.

A pale white smoke swirled and condensed, finally turning into the little girl in the snowy white princess dress.

The little girl looked at Qin Sisi, then twisted her head to take in the unfamiliar room, suddenly bursting into tears with a "wah."

Qin Sisi was dumbfounded. She hadn’t even said anything and the girl was already crying?

Ignoring her initial intention of asking questions, Qin Sisi hastily and gently tried to soothe the little girl, hoping she would stop crying soon.
