Chapter 296: Chapter 296: Dedication to Art_1

Qin Sisi approached Lei Ke, noticing the cross that hung from his neck, dangling on his chest.

This must be the spiritual artifact that frightened those four beauties. Sohow, she needed to remove it.

The Invisible Bubble made her invisible and also muffled her voice.

Qin Sisi turned to Ye You and asked, "Is there any way to make him fall asleep?"

A hint of purple light flashed in Ye You’s eyes as he quietly reminded, "Do you rember the song I once taught you?"

In Qin Sisi’s mind, a light bulb went off and she replied joyfully, "Yes, I rember it."

The song, more like a piece of music, as it lacks lyrics, consists only of a lody.

Back at Lin Xiaoyu’s old place, Qin Sisi sang this song, putting Grandma Ghost’s son and daughter-in-law to sleep at her grave, then creating a dreamlike realm that was both real and unreal, after which they held unending reverence and mourning for Grandma Ghost.

Rembering the song, Qin Sisi hesitated for a mont, "I haven’t sung it for a while. I’m not sure if it will work?" she whispered.

Ye You reassured her, "Give it a try. If it doesn’t work, I’ll think of sothing else."

Qin Sisi nodded. She stood not far behind Lei Ke, pursed her lips, and began muttering the song softly.

The slow, elongated lody flowed from Qin Sisi’s mouth, gentle as a wisp of white fog beginning to rise. It was light and sparse at first, akin to a dreamlike Immortal Realm.

Then, the white mist thickened, surrounding her in blur, blurring the realm between truth and illusion.

Eventually, the mountains, rivers, houses, and figures around her were all swallowed up by the dense white fog, disappearing from sight.

Lei Ke’s brush fell to the ground with a soft thud. His head drooped as he closed his eyes and fell asleep, the corners of his mouth curling up in a faint smile.

The beautiful lody faded slowly, and then vanished completely.

Qin Sisi pressed her lips together, heaving a long sigh of relief.

While singing, she had to concentrate fully leaving her much unaware of her surroundings, but once she stopped, she felt a sense of emptiness in her core, leading her to believe she must have overexerted her magical abilities.

Qin Sisi’s face was slightly pale, but she still managed to smile cheerily at Ye You.

Ye You’s gaze glowed like the stars as he said softly, "Well done."

Qin Sisi lowered her head in shy joy, knowing full well she had just barely succeeded this ti around. Lei Ke had a strong will, and if he hadn’t fallen asleep, Qin Sisi’s magical power would probably not have been enough to sustain the magical lody.

Nevertheless, be it luck or strength, the task was finally completed.

Qin Sisi walked casually to Lei Ke’s side, removed the cross from his neck and handed it to Ye You, who placed it in his Portable Space.

Qin Sisi walked to the door, saying softly, "It’s done. You can co in now."

She waited for a mont. No one appeared, nor did anyone respond.

Feeling puzzled, Qin Sisi quickly stepped out of the doorway, only to find the four beauties laying on the ground, fast asleep.

She turned to Ye You with a questioning look, "Can ghosts sleep, too?"

Ye You explained," The music emitted by the use of magic power is magical. So, of course, they are also affected."

Qin Sisi nodded, woke up the four beauties one by one, and said to them, "I’ve taken off the cross. You can go in and take your revenge now."

The four ghosts exchanged glances and dashed into the studio like whirlwinds.

Given their spiritual power, they could not directly harm Lei Ke’s body. What they could do, was to coax Lei Ke’s soul out of his body using their spiritual powers.

Under the cooperative effort of the four, Lei Ke’s spirit finally stumbled out of his body with a blank look, still not quite understanding what had happened.

However, the four beauties did not give him any ti to figure it out. As soon as Lei Ke’s spirit erged, they rushed forward, starting to devour it together.

While their spiritual powers might not be formidable, it was more than enough to handle a recently deceased and disoriented ghost like Lei Ke.

In no ti, Lei Ke’s soul was completely devoured.

In front of the painting stand, only an empty husk, a lifeless body, sat quietly with its head hanging low, a faint smile on its lips, as if it was blissfully dreaming.

Qin Sisi stood by the studio’s entrance, watching coldly from the sidelines.

Lei Ke had killed several innocent lives for so-called art, and now, due to poetic justice, he lost his own life to the revenge of their spirits. Perhaps it could be said that he gave his life to art in so ways.

After the four beauties devoured Lei Ke’s soul, they stared at Lei Ke’s body and it was evident from their faces, they felt the pleasure of having their revenge fulfilled.

Behind them, Qin Sisi said in a low but clear voice, "Lei Ke’s matter is over. It’s ti for those two who seek reincarnation to offer their soul power."

Xiao Hong and Xiao Huang glanced at each other and each took a few steps towards Qin Sisi.

Although the terms were agreed upon earlier, when it ca ti to give up their soul power, they both felt sowhat hesitant.

Summoning the courage, Xiao Huang asked, "Mage, what would you do if I ran away now?"

Qin Sisi’s eyes narrowed sternly as she said in a cold voice, "I already gave you the opportunity to leave. You said you were willing to offer your soul power, but if you went back on your word now, there would be consequences."

Feigning ease, Xiao Huang chuckled, "Hehe, you’re benevolent, Mage. Surely you wouldn’t annihilate us just like that?"

Qin Sisi’s eyes, as frosty as ice and snow, stared intently at Xiao Huang, "Why don’t you try it and see?"

Ye You perched on Qin Sisi’s shoulder, his purple eyes half-closed, a cold glint crossing his eyes.

No one had ever dared to go back on their word in his presence. If Xiao Huang really dared to escape, he would make her pay.

Xiao Huang, being clever, noted Qin Sisi’s stern look and recalled that just a while back, a few lines of her light tune had put them all to sleep. She then guessed that Qin Sisi might have so substantial abilities.

Finally, Xiao Huang sighed heavily, "Fine, even though I am not a brave man, I do know the importance of keeping a promise. It’s only a hundred years. Let’s get on with it."

Seeing that even the most daring Xiao Huang had finally succumbed, Xiao Hong dared not defy either and offered, "I am willing to offer my soul power, as long as you, Mage, will not deceive us. Your promise of reincarnation must be fulfilled in our next life."

Qin Sisi softened her tone and asked, "Do you believe in karma?"

"Karma?"

Xiao Hong and Xiao Huang looked at each other, Lei Ke killing them was the cause, their revenge against Lei Ke, the effect.

So, even if they didn’t believe in karma before, they should believe in it now!

Both Xiao Hong and Xiao Huang nodded silently in agreent.

Qin Sisi continued, "I believe too. I believe if I don’t keep my word, I will be punished. So, what I promise, I will deliver."
