Chapter 267: Chapter 267 Sorry _1
Teacher Yang, who was waiting at the door, saw Qin Sisi open the room door and promptly asked, "Ms. Qin, how’s everything?"
As Teacher Yang asked this, she craned her neck to peek inside.
Qin Sisi stepped aside and said to her, "Teacher Yang, co in."
Teacher Yang’s face lit up, she was about to step inside but recollected what Qin Sisi had said earlier. She pulled back her foot and cautiously asked, "Ms. Qin, it’s okay for
to go in?"
Qin Sisi nodded in response, "Yes, it’s alright; you can co in."
Reassured by Qin Sisi’s words, Teacher Yang hurriedly went into the bedroom, heading straight for the bedside.
Seeing the baby still peacefully sleeping on the bed, Teacher Yang’s expression softened and beca serene, with a loving gaze softly pouring onto the baby’s small sleeping form.
During the ti she waited outside, Teacher Yang was extrely anxious, worried that the child might be in danger.
In seeing the child lying safe and sound, she felt an extraordinary sense of relief and satisfaction.
Teacher Yang gently extended her arm, yearning to hold the child in her arms to deeply experience familial bliss.
Qin Sisi closed the door and walked to Teacher Yang. Seeing that Teacher Yang wanted to hold the child, she quickly intercepted her, saying seriously, "Teacher Yang, there’s no hurry to hold this child, you will have plenty of ti to hold him."
Teacher Yang paused in her actions, turning her head with a puzzled look towards Qin Sisi, suspecting an undercurrent in Qin Sisi’s statent.
Qin Sisi organized her thoughts then continued, "Teacher Yang, do you know why that thing was holding on to your child?"
Teacher Yang shook her head uncertainly, revealing a puzzled expression.
Qin Sisi took a deep breath, and said, "It’s because of envy."
"Envy?" Teacher Yang was even more confused. What could one envy a few months old baby for? What could provoke soone’s jealousy in such an infant?
Qin Sisi’s countenance grew even graver, seriously saying, "It is envious of the fact that even though both are their parents’ children, why is the younger brother the beloved of the parents, enjoying all the love, while he could only exist as a wild ghost?"
It was like a small needle had gently pricked her heart, Teacher Yang felt a shiver of chilling pain.
Was that thing also a child? Whose child was it?
A not so comforting feeling bubbled up in her heart, making Teacher Yang feel as if she was trapped in a limitless marsh, where one misstep would result in her sinking and becoming trapped in darkness, unable to escape, suffocating to death.
Teacher Yang forced her lips into a smile with a complex expression and said, "Ms. Qin, what exactly do you an? I don’t understand."
Qin Sisi looked at Ye You, who understood her intentions, jumped over to the Blood-Baby, retrieved the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope, and then gave the Blood-Baby a Revealing Soul Pill.
Teacher Yang watched this strange black cat perform a series of actions, her apprehensions and fears beca even more noticeable.
A few minutes later, a bloody lump of flesh appeared in front of Teacher Yang.
"Ah!" Teacher Yang stepped back in shock, with her hands tightened on her chest, yelled in confusion, "What...what is this thing?"
The Blood-Baby looked at Teacher Yang’s fearful and disgusted expression. Feeling heartbroken, two big teardrops fell from his protruding red eyes as he softly called out with an extrely weak voice: "Mother..."
Teacher Yang took two more steps back, not believing her ears, turned her trembling voice towards Qin Sisi and asked, "What did it just call ?"
Qin Sisi looked at Teacher Yang with serene eyes and seriously replied, "He called you ’mother,’ he is the child that you didn’t want."
Teacher Yang sucked in a sharp breath sharply, clutching her mouth with one hand, her eyes slowly turning towards the Blood-Baby. This child lay shivering, like a yellowing leaf trembling in the cool autumn breeze.
The child in front of her had a grotesque body and his eyes were too eerie. But he couldn’t be blad for any of it. The source of all this was actually herself.
The tears that had just stopped started falling again like a broken string of pearls. Teacher Yang had never expected that the culprit responsible for her child’s incessant crying, refusing to eat or sleep, was actually her other child.
She rembered undergoing an abortion surgery three years ago; the harsh machine rcilessly stirring her body, the only thought in her mind - a living death.
When she lay prostrated on the operation table, the doctor brought over a basin with indistinguishable flesh and blood, coldly saying "All scraped out; you can see."
She barely glanced at it before hurriedly turning her head away. She suddenly felt like a murderer, who had never imagined herself to be so cruel.
That mont, she felt imnse regret, wishing ti could wind back just an hour. She would try to convince her fiancé, refuse the surgery, keep this child.
"I’m sorry... I’m sorry..."
Covering her mouth, Teacher Yang began whimpering, her legs buckled, and she collapsed on the floor in front of the Blood-Baby.
Tears began to stream down the Blood-Baby’s face as well. It floated slightly towards Teacher Yang but stopped a distance away, looking sowhat lost at his sobbing mother.
Qin Sisi squatted next to Teacher Yang and softly suggested, "Hold him; it is his last wish."
Teacher Yang looked up at the Blood-Baby, the horror in her eyes slowly replaced by a gentle tranquility. She straightened up and slowly opened her arms to the Blood-Baby.
The Blood-Baby’s body shuddered. He thought, being a wandering wild spirit, he had long lost the right to long for the warmth he once cherished.
But now, seeing his mother open her arms to him felt unreal, a dream.
He knew, though, he would not dream again. Everything in front of him was real.
His mother saw him, his mother was willing to hold him, exactly as he wished.
The Blood-Baby drifted slowly forward, but as he was about to reach Teacher Yang’s embrace, he paused.
Did his mother truly want to hold him?
Would she dislike him being covered with blood?
Would she be afraid he seed a strange and cruel monster?
He nearly killed his little brother.
Teacher Yang noticed the Blood-Baby’s hesitation and her anticipation did not decrease but intensify. She moved her kneeling body forward two spaces, capturing the Blood-Baby that was in front of her in a tight embrace.
"Child, I’m sorry, Mommy is sorry..." Holding tightly to the Blood-Baby’s body, Teacher Yang choked on her words.
"Mother, you’re finally willing to hold ." The Blood-Baby murmured. Nestling in his mother’s embrace, the malevolence and malice that emanated from him upon arrival vanished completely.
The mother and child held each other tightly. Regardless of their impending separation and different life paths, their reunion dissolved past hatred and guilt. From now on, whether living or dead, they could be at peace.
