Chapter 234: Chapter 234: Black Lightning_1

At eleven o’clock at night, Qin Sisi’s feet were sowhat numb from the cold, by the ti Zhu Zihao finally rushed over in a panic. He quickly said, "He just began taking a shower. The Spiritual Artifact should be on the washing machine outside the bathroom. It seems to be a pendant he had around his neck. I only glimpsed it for a mont before my eyes started to hurt terribly, so I hurriedly left."

Qin Sisi glanced at Zhu Zihao’s eyes. They were, sure enough, red and swollen, and even filled with tears.

Ye You’s claw froze in Qin Sisi’s hand.

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You, held out her hand and gave two leaves of the Green Snow Spiritual Herb to Zhu Zihao, saying, "Put these over your eyes. I’ll take care of the rest."

Zhu Zihao didn’t know what the lush green leaves were, but he trusted Qin Sisi implicitly, so he accepted them without hesitating, gratefully saying, "Thank you, Ms. Qin."

"You’re welco." Qin Sisi replied, then she winked at Ye You.

Reading her intentions, Ye You gently grazed his claws and Zhu Zihao’s ghost disappeared from sight.

Zhu Zihao’s task for tonight had been accomplished. The stage was now set for Qin Sisi and Ye You.

Qin Sisi, looking at Gu Liang’s balcony, furrowed her brow in worry and asked Ye You, "What should we do? The Invisibility Bubble has not yet ford. He won’t take an hour to shower, will he?"

Ye You also looked up, but he was looking at the ink-black night sky, not the window.

"Is there any way?" Seeing Ye You remaining silent, Qin Sisi turned to ask him, her eyes full of hope.

In her heart, Ye You always had clever ways to turn impossible situations into favorable ones.

Ye You stared into Qin Sisi’s eyes and abruptly asked, "Do you think it will thunder now?"

"Huh?" Qin Sisi gawked at Ye You and hesitantly replied, "In the middle of winter? I doubt it!"

Ye You’s eyes flashed with a purple light, revealing arrogance as he confidently said, "Do you want to watch it thunder?"

Thunder seems to be an ordinary spectacle, and also sowhat terrifying.

However, Ye You’s starry eyes seed to hold a certain expectation. Unconsciously, Qin Sisi nodded, "I’d like to."

A sharp flash crossed Ye You’s eyes. He looked up at the dark blue sky and gritted his teeth, saying, "Let

give it a try."

"Mhm." Qin Sisi gently agreed, her anxiety gradually rising.

Ye You jumped down from Qin Sisi’s shoulder onto the ground, his eyes slightly closed, his breath held, as he used all his effort to summon his magic power. He focused and hurriedly chanted under his breath, preparing to use a powerful magic skill.

Qin Sisi was acutely aware of Ye You’s seriousness and caution. She watched him, not blinking.

Suddenly, Ye You’s figure flashed, shooting up into the sky like a black arrow.

He moved so swiftly that Qin Sisi only saw a blurred figure.

Abashed, Qin Sisi hurriedly looked up at the pitch-dark sky, searching for Ye You.

Before she had the chance to find anything, in the distant sky she heard Ye You’s somber, stern growl, "Dingze Thunder!"

This phrase was only audible to Qin Sisi and would sound like howling wind to anyone else.

Dingze Thunder? Is it a magic skill?

Qin Sisi squinted, her face serious as she looked in the direction of the sound.

Suddenly, a fiercely cold thunderbolt lit up the night sky, ripping open a crack in the inky sky above.

Following this, the rumbling of thunder approached like a vast army marching through dark clouds.

Suddenly, all the lights in the building where Gu Liang lived went out, plunging the entire building into chaotic darkness.

Qin Sisi suddenly understood. This was Ye You’s thod of stalling for ti. This approach was certainly dramatic, though.

Then, Qin Sisi noticed a small black dot rapidly tumbling from the sky.

Was it Ye You?

A sinking feeling in her heart, Qin Sisi threw caution to the wind. She instinctively held open her arms, ready to catch the hurrying figure.

It was indeed Ye You. On seeing Qin Sisi’s movent, he used his last shred of magic power to slow down his descent speed slightly.

Even so, when Qin Sisi caught Ye You, the impact was still considerable. She lost her balance and fell to the ground.

Fearful of harming Ye You, Qin Sisi intentionally put her shoulder to the ground first. Beneath her soft black coat was a dium-thickness wool sweater. Her shoulder hit the ground hard, conveniently hitting the edge of a flowerbed.

"Ah....." Qin Sisi moaned, gritting her teeth to endure the pain.

"Sisi... Fool." Ye You had seen all of Qin Sisi’s actions. His heart was filled with bitterness and sympathy. Thousands of words were condensed into the single phrase, "Fool".

Qin Sisi heard the weakness in Ye You’s voice and quickly asked with concern, "Are you alright?"

"I’m fine. I just need a bit of rest. You on the other hand..." Ye You replied softly, his voice filled with deep helplessness.

Qin Sisi gently rubbed her aching shoulder, pretending to be relaxed as she said, "I’m fine too. Don’t worry."

Ye You sighed and fell silent. Talking more was pointless if he couldn’t do anything for her.

The darkened building had beco chaotic. So people were complaining loudly, so were coming out of their rooms to find property managent. Occasionally, one or two streaks of bright or dim light would cross the glass windows, presumably from flashlights or phones.

Fearing being noticed by passersby, Qin Sisi and Ye You hid in a secluded, dark corner.

About an hour later, Ye You lifted his claws, few strands of faint light floated in the air, and moved towards his hand.

The electricians were scratching their heads in front of the perfectly fine circuit box, suddenly, the light by their side lit up unexpectedly.

Looking up, the electrician found that the entire building had once again regained its brightness.

The electrician let out a long sigh of relief, his expression appearing both bewildered and hugely relieved. He closed the circuit box, turned and left.

"What the hell is going on!" Gu Liang, agitated at ho, cursed when he saw the electric light finally turn on. He removed his white bathrobe and headed towards the bathroom.

The power had gone out just as he had begun to shower. It was cold enough to freeze him to death!

Earlier, agitated, Gu Liang had put on his bathrobe and exited the bathroom. He was so annoyed, he didn’t bother putting on his pendant.

Once everything returned to normal, Gu Liang entered the bathroom again and began his shower.

At that mont, the glass window on the balcony quietly opened, and Qin Sisi and Ye You, concealed by the Invisibility Bubble, jumped in from outside.
