Chapter 224: Chapter 224: House-guarding Treasure Sword_1
Qin Sisi saw that Zhu Zihao seed a bit disheartened, so she comforted him, "Let
tuck you away first. Once I clean up these things, your spiritual power will be fully restored. I’m sure it will be much more efficient then."
Zhu Zihao managed a faint smile and said, "I’ll take your word for it, Miss Qin."
"No need to stand on ceremony." Qin Sisi replied politely, then nodded toward Ye You.
Understanding her intensions, Ye You extended a claw, gently swiped in front of Zhu Zihao, and his ghost disappeared without a sound.
Seeing Zhu Zihao absorbed into Ye You’s portable space, Qin Sisi sighed saying, "I wanted to keep it hands-off, it seems it’s not possible now."
Ye You chuckled lightly and said, "No worries, it’s not a big deal. Let’s rest first. After Gu Liang goes to work tomorrow, we will visit his house."
Qin Sisi knew that they must not rush this. With Gu Liang’s family in the house, barging in to deal with the treasure sword might stir things up. If they alard Gu Liang, it could backfire.
So, Qin Sisi nodded in agreent and, holding Ye You, retired to her room to rest.
The next day, after breakfast, they saw it was ti to go in. Judging by the usual office hours, Gu Liang should have left for work. So, they tidied up a bit and prepared to head to his ho.
Sisi initially planned to take a taxi, but Ye You suggested using the Wings of Rainbow to fly there as they would still need to use the Invisible Bubble for stealth when entering the house.
After considering the idea, Sisi agreed, walked onto the balcony, opened the sliding glass window and commanded, "Wings of Rainbow!"
Breathtaking splendid wings unfurled behind her, her beautiful face shone with a touch of determination and confidence.
anwhile, Ye You activated the Invisible Bubble, obscuring this spectacular scene from view.
Sisi took a leap out of the window, channeling magic to control the Wings of Rainbow, easily stabilizing her mid-air balance and briskly flying towards Gu Liang’s house.
The location of Gu Liang’s house was clearly stated in the text ssage Ning Hao had sent to Sisi, and she had also looked it up online. So she had a clear plan in her mind.
About half an hour later, Sisi arrived at Gu Liang’s house.
Just as Sisi and Ye You had guessed, Gu Liang was not ho, probably at his company.
However, Gu Liang’s wife was ho.
Entering Gu Liang’s house through the balcony window, Sisi noticed a slightly overweight middle-aged woman in a loose nightgown sitting before a dressing table, applying makeup.
Though Sisi knew that they were shielded by the Invisible Bubble, making them unseen and unheard by others, she cautiously proceeded onwards.
Sure enough, directly opposite the head of the bed, a sword hung on the wall.
The sword was naturally sheathed and hung on a steel nail through a large red woven rope. The sheath was adorned with a 3D picture of two dragons playing with a pearl, giving it an imposing presence.
Looking at the sword for a mont, Sisi turned to Ye You on her shoulder and asked, "Can you discern anything?"
Ye You responded solemnly, "Indeed, it seems to have been blessed with the power to ward off evil and exorcise ghosts."
Sisi contemplated and then said, "To allow Zhu Zihao to co here, we must take this sword away. But if the sword mysteriously vanishes, Gu Liang will definitely notice. He might raise an alarm, or even purchase a more powerful spiritual artifact. Any move from him would put us in a disadvantageous position."
She furrowed her brows as she spoke, this situation was indeed challenging.
Ye You scoffed, "Who says we absolutely have to take it away? We can get Zhu Zihao inside without doing so."
Sisi’s heart surged with hope, "You have a solution?"
Just as Ye You was about to respond, a creaking sound suddenly ca from behind. They both turned to look.
The middle-aged woman had finished applying her makeup and had just gotten up from the chair. The creaking sound was from her moving the chair.
Sisi glanced at her. The woman had dark, beautifully shaped eyebrows, long and thick eyelashes, radiant red lips, and a thick layer of makeup on her face, which made her complexion significantly whiter than her neck.
Then, the middle-aged woman took off her loose nightgown, leaving only a burgundy lace undergarnt on her body.
Startled, Sisi quickly swiveled her head and reached to cover Ye You’s eyes.
However, before her palm could even touch Ye You’s fluffy little head, Sisi saw that he had already shut his eyes.
Sisi dropped her hand, her gaze falling on Ye You who still had his eyes tightly closed, and her lips curved up slightly.
Thankfully, the middle-aged woman hurriedly put on her clothes soon after - an exquisitely crafted short dress whose smooth and shiny fabric suggested high-end quality.
However, the orange color didn’t suit her very well, giving her skin a sowhat dull appearance and failing to hide the excess flesh at her waist, which was bunching up beneath her outfit.
Sisi couldn’t help but sigh. Both middle-aged won, one heavily makeupped and extravagantly dressed, but when compared to Zhu Zihao’s plain, rustic wife, the difference was clear.
The middle-aged woman then picked out so glitzy jewelry from a box on the dressing table and put them on, examined herself contentedly in the mirror, picked up her luxurious leather handbag and left the bedroom.
The high heels clicked crisply against the floor, and the bedroom door closed with a resonant thud.
Sisi breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, she’s finally left, and we can handle this sword in peace.
Urgently, she urged Ye You, "What’s your brilliant solution? C’mon, spill!"
However, Ye You appeared sowhat reluctant to speak. After hesitating for a while, he muttered gruffly, "Turn around. You can’t look at ."
Sisi was taken aback, and after a mont of silence, she asked, "What do you an?"
Ye You insisted sternly, "Don’t ask so much, just do as I say, I’ll explain it later."
Sisi looked at Ye You, trusted him? Of course, so she decided to do as he said.
Accordingly, Sisi turned her back on the sword while Ye You jumped off her shoulder.
After a faint sound, Ye You said, "It’s done."
When Sisi turned back, the sword still hung on the wall silently, with no apparent changes except that the air now had a peculiar sll.
Ye You then added, "It’s done, let’s get going."
Sisi looked at Ye You with surprise, "Done?"
Ye You nodded, "The sword has now lost its spiritual essence and, thus, its ability to harm ghosts."
Sisi, half doubtful, looked at Ye You, her gaze filled with questions.
