Chapter 209: Chapter 209: A Minor Incident with the Yellow Rose_1

When you really think about Zhu Zihao’s actions, his failure to see people clearly cos from an unquestioning trust in his friends and a deep regard for friendship. Also, wanting to leave more money for his family isn’t wrong.

Soone who values both friends and family is undoubtedly not a bad person.

Qin Sisi nodded and said, "That’s a good plan. Let’s go find a shop to buy pen and paper."

Ning Hao replied, "No need, I have them in the car." Due to his professional habits, Ning Hao often carried pen and paper with him.

As he spoke, Ning Hao pulled out a pen and a stack of writing paper from the back pocket of the seat and handed it to Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi first put Ye You down, then placed the writing paper on her lap and told Zhu Zihao with a pen, "To avoid your family recognizing your handwriting, let

write for you. You dictate, and I’ll write."

Zhu Zihao hesitated and said, "Let’s have Ning Hao write it."

Qin Sisi asked in surprise, "Why?"

It actually didn’t matter who wrote the letter. Still, Zhu Zihao specifically wanted Ning Hao to write it, which puzzled Qin Sisi.

After a brief pause, Zhu Zihao explained, "n’s and won’s handwriting are quite different. I’m afraid that my wife would get the wrong idea if she sees a woman’s handwriting."

A touch of embarrassnt crossed Zhu Zihao’s face as he spoke.

Qin Sisi couldn’t help but roll her eyes inwardly. With him gone, what misunderstanding could possibly arise?

Nevertheless, Qin Sisi respected Zhu Zihao’s rationale since it was out of consideration for his family.

Qin Sisi handed the pen and paper to Ning Hao, and picked Ye You back up.

Ning Hao, following Zhu Zihao’s directions, wrote the letter. He first clarified their identity, then stated their purpose, and in the end, he urged Zhu Zihao’s family to sever all ties with Gu Liang as he’s not a good person.

Seeing Ning Hao finally stop writing, Zhu Zihao took the letter to read it. A satisfied expression appeared on his face, and he exhaled with relief, saying, "Our preparations are complete now; let’s go to my house to deliver the money."

Just as Qin Sisi was about to agree, Ning Hao interjects, "You might be a ghost, but we’re human. Without food, we’ll starve."

Zhu Zihao understood imdiately and said apologetically, "I’m sorry, I was too anxious. You guys go eat first. I’ll treat you, just take however much it costs from here." Zhu Zihao pointed to the 200,000 yuan cash on the backseat of the car.

Ning Hao waved his hand and said, "No need, no need. I can afford a al."

The two n exchanged courtesies and Ning Hao drove the car towards a busier area.

Once they arrived in an area with restaurants, Qin Sisi asked Zhu Zihao’s ghost to wait in the car to avoid any complications and strictly told him not to wander off.

Zhu Zihao nodded in agreent, saying, "Don’t worry, Miss Qin. I am not a child; how could I be so careless?"

Qin Sisi thought it made sense. Zhu Zihao, after all, was more than ten years older than her and had experienced so much; he shouldn’t make errors at vital monts.

So, Qin Sisi and Ning Hao went to eat at a small roadside restaurant, hugging Ye You all the while.

Ning Hao wanted to say sothing to Qin Sisi, but considering the imdiate things they needed to do, he decided to wait and find another opportunity.

Both of them had Zhu Zihao’s matter on their minds, so they ate quickly. From waiting for the food, to finishing their al, it was less than half an hour, and they returned to the car.

However, when they opened the car door, they found to their shock that Zhu Zihao was gone.

Qin Sisi paused, looked around again, and saw the 200,000 yuan still intact on the back seat, but Zhang Zihao’s ghost was indeed missing.

Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel anxious. The money was still here, so Zhu Zihao had no reason to leave. Could he have been captured by a powerful evil spirit or a highly-skilled mage?

Qin Sisi looked around in a frenzy, disregarding her image as she yelled out Zhu Zihao’s na.

Ning Hao remained relatively calm. He comforted her, "Sisi, don’t panic. The money is still here. Maybe he just had sothing to do and will be back soon. Let’s wait a bit."

While Qin Sisi knew Ning Hao was reasonable, she couldn’t help feeling anxious. She was worried and silently repeated Zhu Zihao’s na over and over again in her heart.

In a flower shop in the next street, there was no custor around at noon. The shop owner was resting in his chair with his eyes closed.

He vaguely heard a sound and opened his sleepy eyes. In the next second, his eyes were wide open.

What did he see?

A bouquet of yellow roses floated down from the shelf on its own and drifted towards the door.

A thief! That was the flower shop owner’s first thought.

He quickly stood up to chase but saw sothing fall from his body from the corner of his eye.

Looking down, he saw it was a hundred-yuan note. He picked it up, examined it, and realized it was real.

The shop owner rembered that the price tag on the bouquet of yellow roses was ninety-nine yuan. So, it wasn’t a thief; it was a custor.

But how could a yellow rose float down and out by itself?

Was it an illusion, or did he encounter a ghost?

A ghost?

The shop owner’s face changed color, but after all, he was a seasoned businessman. He patted his chest and comforted himself: It doesn’t matter if it’s a ghost, it doesn’t matter if it’s a ghost, money and goods are accounted for, money and goods are accounted for, I didn’t see anything.

The shop owner sat back down in his chair but didn’t dare close his eyes again.

While Qin Sisi was anxiously looking around in circles, Ye You whispered, "Don’t worry. I sense him. He is approaching."

Qin Sisi’s spirits lifted, and she hastily moved further away from the car to look around.

After just a few minutes, Zhu Zihao appeared at the end of the street, holding a bouquet of yellow roses, and smiling broadly.

Qin Sisi finally let out a long breath, but her gaze at Zhu Zihao was a mix of relief and irritation.

Zhu Zihao saw that Qin Sisi and Ning Hao were waiting for him and quickly floated towards them, saying apologetically, "I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. I slled flowers and went to buy a bouquet on another street."

Qin Sisi reprimanded harshly, "How can soone as mature as you be so careless? Don’t you realize how worried others might be!"

Qin Sisi’s question was the sa sentence Zhu Zihao had used to assure her of his reliability earlier, but now it was used against him, it was quite fitting.

Zhu Zihao apologized, "I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I suddenly rembered that I haven’t given my wife flowers in many years. The last ti I gave her flowers, we were still dating. After that, I was either too busy or felt it was unnecessary, so I never gave her flowers again. Now that I’m going to leave forever, I thought about giving her flowers one more ti."

Zhu Zihao spoke sincerely and by the end of it, even his eyes turned red.
