Chapter 205: Chapter 205: The Purpose of Grandma Chu _1

Everything was the sa as the previous two days, with the tall office building looming in the vast darkness, its silhouette blurred and indiscinct.

Before they got out of the car, Qin Sisi asked Ning Hao for his sunglasses, once again infusing them with spiritual power, enabling him to temporarily see ghosts.

Having done this, Qin Sisi, holding Ye You, stepped out of the car, followed closely by Ning Hao and Ning Yue.

Arriving at the main entrance of the office building, Ning Yue suddenly asked, "How do you plan to get in?"

Qin Sisi glanced at Ning Hao without speaking. She had the power of the Wings of Rainbow, and could fly up. However, she was uncertain about Ning Hao’s plan and how Ning Yue, who had temporarily beco a physical being, would proceed.

Ning Hao walked towards the door of the office building and pushed it, saying in a deep voice, "If it’s not possible, we’ll just pry it open."

"No," Qin Sisi imdiately objected, "Evidence of a forced entry is too obvious. If soone discovered it tomorrow, it could potentially bring unnecessary troubles."

"Do you have any other plans?" Ning Hao turned around and asked Qin Sisi.

Ning Yue joined in, "You were here last night, so do you have a better plan?"

Qin Sisi glanced at Ning Yue. She seed curious about how Qin Sisi could so easily access the top floor of the office building, but Qin Sisi had no intention of revealing the secret of the Wings of Rainbow to others.

So, after a brief silence, Qin Sisi said, "I do have my thods, but they only work for ."

Ning Yue ’huh’ed’ and said, "So people are just so selfish, fine; you use your thods, and we’ll find our own way."

Qin Sisi frowned. Ning Yue’s expression was disgruntled, but calm, showing no signs of fretting over finding a solution. Qin Sisi was convinced that Ning Yue had a plan, and was rely testing her, trying to figure out the extent of her powers.

At that mont, they were suppose to be on the sa side, but Ning Yue was still trying to outsmart her. Despite her childish behavior, Qin Sisi couldn’t help feeling slightly irritated.

Looking up towards the top floor shrouded in complete darkness, with a semi-playful and semi-serious tone, Qin Sisi said, "It’s fine, but if I go up first, I’ll set up a barrier over the entire top floor, and you guys can wait outside."

When they practiced the Fireball Technique, Ye You had set up a barrier for her and had introduced her to so basic theoretical knowledge of barriers, so she knew that Ye You had the ability to do it.

After hearing Qin Sisi’s words, Ning Yue’s face changed, and she blurted out, "Do you have the ability to do that?"

Qin Sisi turned towards Ning Yue, and said, in a cool voice, "You can try."

"Enough." Ning Hao suddenly cut in. His face had darkened. He said to Ning Yue, "Since we ca together, we should go up together. If you have a plan, just spit it out. If not, I’ll pry open the door."

Ning Yue used to bicker with her brother, but deep down, she both loved and respected him and was slightly afraid of him. Seeing Ning Hao seriously angry, Ning Yue pouted and said, "I know there’s a back door we can go through, I’ll lead you there."

After Ning Yue spoke, she turned and walked around the building towards the back of the office building.

Qin Sisi and Ning Hao followed her. Ning Hao gave Qin Sisi an apologetic look.

Qin Sisi slightly nodded, indicating that he didn’t need to worry about it.

Indeed, there was a back door behind the office building, and not far from the door was a relatively large cargo elevator, which was probably there to facilitate the movent of goods.

They got into the elevator together and it went directly to the top floor of the office building.

Exiting the elevator, Ning Yue imdiately walked towards the bathroom without a pause. Neither Qin Sisi nor Ning Hao said anything, instead they just followed silently behind her.

Inside the large hall at the top floor, filled with various goods, Ning Hao, despite it being his first ti here, did not show much surprise. As a police officer, he was accustod to doing thorough research ahead of ti.

Guided by the familiar Ning Yue, everyone arrived at the restroom by the shortest route.

The mont they stepped into the restroom, Qin Sisi felt a distinctly chilling and cold air.

Upon pushing open the derelict wooden door to the restroom, Ning Yue was the first to enter, followed closely by Qin Sisi. Despite seeing the sign for the won’s restroom, Ning Hao hesitated slightly before following in.

Unlike when Qin Sisi was here last night, when it was completely deserted and without a soul in sight, now the restroom was already occupied by spirits, more than just one.

Sitting against the wall was an old woman with a braid of snowy white hair trailing behind her. Dressed in an ancient style deep blue robe and wide trousers, with a sleek and glossy cane in her hand, she was Grandma Chu, known as the "Demi Immortal".

Near the window stood a man in his thirties, dressed in a dark grey suit. As pale as paper, his brows deeply furrowed, his face etched with despair and resentnt.

Of course, he was also a ghost, his body semi-transparent, engulfed in a cold aura.

"Grandma." Ning Yue greeted sweetly as she sat down next to Grandma Chu. Pointing at Ning Hao, she said, "Grandma, this is my brother, Ning Hao. He ca to et you personally and to thank you for taking care of

all these years."

Ning Hao quickly added, "Yes, Xiao Yue ntioned you a few tis, saying how you’ve treated her especially well. So, I ca especially to thank you, Grandma."

Grandma Chu raised her eyelids to glance at Ning Hao. Her muddy eyes flickered once before she nonchalantly nodded her head at Ning Hao.

Qin Sisi stood silently on the side, not hurrying to speak. Since Grandma Chu had specially asked her to co again, there must be sothing important; waiting a few more monts wouldn’t hurt.

Soon, Grandma Chu’s gaze fell on Qin Sisi. Her hoarse voice slowly said, "Ms. Qin, I would like to introduce you to a spirit."

With that, Grandma Chu looked over at the spirit near the window and gave a slight nod.

The man drifted over, gave a nod to Grandma Chu, then, his listless eyes turned to Qin Sisi, and in a sowhat stiff voice asked, "Can you help ?"

Qin Sisi then understood Grandma Chu’s intention. This was the reason Chu had asked her to co again. Although Grandma Chu was certainly free from cravings, having lived here for many years with strong mana, she naturally knew so other spirits.

So spirits have deep-seated obsessions which compel them to linger in the world for a long ti, but they can’t find a way to fulfill those obsessions.

Although Grandma Chu has powers, she doesn’t want to get involved in the matters of the mortal world. Although she can provide so minor help to these spirits, she can’t completely resolve their obsessions.

From the man’s reaction it was clear that he had a deep-seated obsession, one which Grandma Chu was unable to help with. Just as Qin Sisi appeared, capable of aiding spirits in fulfilling their unfulfilled desires, in exchange for the power of spirits’ souls.

So, Grandma Chu acted as a diator, introducing Qin Sisi to the spirit.
