Chapter 182: Chapter 182: Lan Di’s Ability_1
Qin Sisi couldn’t help but grin as she watched Ye You bustling about. He seed to be becoming increasingly down-to-earth compared to when they first t when he had a more aloof deanor.
By the ti they finished dinner and tidied up, it was already late at night.
Qin Sisi discussed with Ye You about helping Lele find his mother.
Even if they asked Lan Di, the Ghost Immortal, to find her, they’d still need specific information, and she wasn’t sure how much Lele could provide.
Ye You said, "I’ll let him out, and you can try questioning him. If that doesn’t work, we’ll find another way."
"Okay," Qin Sisi agreed with Ye You’s suggestion.
With a flick of his paw, Ye You released Lele’s spirit from his portable space. Lele seed much livelier once he was out, looking curiously around with his round eyes, and even cheerfully poked Ye You a few tis.
Ye You frowned internally at the teasing but chose to bear it silently since he didn’t want to quibble with a child.
Qin Sisi held Lele’s hand and started to ask him so questions. However, Lele seed uninterested and kept frolicking around, either ignoring her questions or answering them with irrelevant responses.
After quite a while, Qin Sisi only managed to find out Lele’s na, age, and the na of his kindergarten.
Ye You observed for a while and then said, "Lele is quite young and may not be able to express much. How about we let Lan Di et him? He might be able to find so clues."
Qin Sisi nodded and took out a pack of yellow paper from the cabinet. Ye You flicked his paw lightly, causing a flash of silver spiritual power to be infused into the yellow paper.
Qin Sisi held the enchanted yellow paper towards the northwest corner of the room and lit it with fire magic.
As the yellow paper burned to ashes, Lan Di popped out from the ground with a loud "puff."
"Hey, beautiful Sisi, we et again." Lan Di greeted with a full-faced smile, dusted off his clothes nonchalantly, walked to the center of the room, and chose to ignore Ye You who was lying on the couch.
Upon seeing Lele, he cheerfully said, "Oh... we even have a little buddy here! What’s your na, little guy?"
Lan Di was quite forward, but this kind of personality seed quite popular with children.
Looking at the grinning Lan Di, Lele also broke into a happy smile and responded clearly, "My na is Lele."
"Lele? Nice na, you should be happy every day then!" As Lan Di spoke, he lovingly patted Lele’s hair.
Qin Sisi approached Lan Di and said, "He wants to find his mom. Can you help?"
"I see." Lan Di looked at Lele, then turned to ask Qin Sisi, "Where did you find him?"
"In a manhole in the south of the city," Qin Sisi replied.
Lan Di looked her up and down in surprise and asked, "You went down a manhole?"
Qin Sisi nodded, "Yes."
Lan Di shrugged and shook his head, then said to Ye You, "Black cat, ain’t you lucky?"
Ye You coldly responded, "Right back at you. You’re lucky too, it’s just that you don’t appreciate it."
Lan Di scoffed, "Please, that’s not luck, that’s trouble."
Qin Sisi, frowning at their conversation interrupted, spoke pointedly, "You’re here to help, not to chat."
Lan Di glanced at Ye You disdainfully and stopped engaging with him. He turned to Qin Sisi and said, "Darling Sisi, we need precise information to find soone. Have you got all of that?"
Qin Sisi replied, "I got his na, age, and the na of the kindergarten, but he didn’t seem able to provide much else."
After she finished speaking, Qin Sisi worriedly looked at Lan Di, afraid he might also say that there was no solution.
But Lan Di patted his chest confidently and said, "Darling Sisi, don’t worry. Watch this."
Lan Di got up close to Lele, cleared his throat, and asked, "Lele, do you like magic tricks?"
Lele bobbed his head vigorously, "I like."
"Great, how about big brother shows you a magic trick?" Lan Di’s words were captivating and imdiately grabbed all of Lele’s attention.
"Okay," Lele responded loudly, his expression serious, his eyes fixed unblinkingly on Lan Di.
With a confident smile on his face, Lan Di grasped at the air with one hand. Then raising an eyebrow at Lele he asked, "Lele, can you guess what’s in big brother’s hand?"
Lele looked at Lan Di’s hand confusedly, puckered his lips, and shook his head helplessly.
With a mysterious smile, Lan Di flicked his wrist and a bright red balloon sprung from his hand.
"Wow!" Lele cried out in delight, his smile brightening further.
"Lele, tell big brother, how old are you this year? If you answer correctly, this balloon is yours." Lan Di’s twinkling eyes were fixed on Lele, as he waved the red balloon invitingly.
"I’m five this year," Lele answered clearly.
"Wow, Lele is aweso! This red balloon is for you." Lan Di heaped praises generously and handed the red balloon over to Lele.
Lele took the red balloon and began to hop around in joy, beaming. Perhaps he hadn’t been this happy for a long ti.
However, Qin Sisi didn’t feel excited. After all, Lele had already answered this question before.
"Lele, let’s continue with the magic." Lan Di again drew Lele’s attention, made another grab at empty air, and asked, "Lele, can you guess what’s in big brother’s hand this ti?"
Lele hesitated, then said, "Balloon."
"You guessed it! Lele is amazing!" Lan Di flicked his wrist again, and a golden balloon popped out of his hand.
Lan Di waved the yellow balloon and said to Lele, "Lele, tell big brother when your birthday is. If you answer correctly, this yellow balloon is also yours."
Qin Sisi watched Lele nervously. She had previously asked this question, but Lele had been silent. She wasn’t sure if Lan Di could successfully obtain an answer this ti.
Surprisingly, after mulling it over, Lele provided a month.
Qin Sisi watched, amazed and pleased. Lan Di’s thod seed to work quite well.
Next, Lan Di conjured balloons in all sorts of colors: blue, green, orange, purple, etc. He successfully coaxed out from Lele the na of his residential district, his parents’ nas, and so information about his family.
Lastly, Lan Di pulled out a rainbow-colored balloon. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple stripes spun around the balloon. It was so beautiful that even Qin Sisi was captivated by it.
Lan Di handed it over to Lele with a beaming smile and said, "Lele perford really well today, this rainbow-colored balloon is your reward."
Lele cheered and, holding the rainbow-colored balloon, blurted out a "Thank you," to Lan Di. Then, with bundles of colorful balloons, he went off to play joyfully.
