The waiter’s facial expression stiffened for a mont, then responded professionally, "Alright, apology for the interruption, sir. Goodbye."

The waiter hung up the phone.

Qin Sisi’s hands were flat on the counter, her face full of anticipation as she watched the waiter and urgently asked, "What did he say?"

The waiter hesitantly responded, "I’m sorry, ma’am. The guest said they aren’t expecting any friends."

The spark of hope that had ignited in Qin Sisi was rcilessly extinguished, and she was left with a sinking feeling of despair.

What was she to do? Even if she barged in, she wasn’t sure which room she would find herself in. Looking one by one, who knows how long she would have to search. And when she eventually found it, Shan Shan could be with that man already...

Suddenly, Qin Sisi rembered a detail, and said to the waiter imdiately, "You said ’sir’ earlier, the one you spoke to on the phone was a man, right?"

The waiter’s expression was complex, and hesitantly replied, "Yes."

The waiter shook his head and said, "I’m sorry, ma’am. I can’t disclose any guests’ information."

Qin Sisi’s brows furrowed, her eyes wide open, and with a single "slap," she firmly slamd her hands on the counter top and yelled, "At this ti, you’re still talking about privacy? I told you the man is bad news, my friend was deceived by him. If she gets hurt, can you bear the responsibility?"

Qin Sisi’s imposing montum intimidated the waiter, causing her to take a step back slightly.

Not only her, even Ye You behind Qin Sisi was taken aback by her ferocity. Indeed, even a rabbit will bite when cornered.

At that mont, perhaps the commotion was too loud, the hotel’s lobby manager walked over and asked, "What happened, Xiao Yan?"

The receptionist called Xiao Yan quickly explained what happened and looked for help from the arrived lobby manager.

to apologize for any inconvenience caused. It is our hotel policy not to disclose guest information, I hope you understand."

Qin Sisi’s eyes hardened, and was about to say sothing but the lobby manager interrupted, "Here’s what we can do, the lady you are searching for, Miss Shan Shan, checked in with her ID card. If you could provide her ID number, I’ll tell you her room number."

Before Qin Sisi could respond, Lin Ying blurted out from behind, "No problem, I know it."

Qin Sisi felt a montary rush of joy and instantly said, "Ok."

"Please tell ," said the lobby manager to Qin Sisi, and turned towards the computer, ready to check the number.

Lin Ying spouted out a string of numbers, and Qin Sisi repeated after her, confident as she looked at the lobby manager.

The manager had originally thought that if Qin Sisi did not know the ID number, they could refuse her demands easily. Unexpectedly, Qin Sisi did not hesitate to provide the correct ID number which indicated that Lin Shan might indeed be her friend.

Having promised, the lobby manager couldn’t go back on her word. Plus, considering Qin Sisi’s claim that Lin Shan had been deceived, the manager felt uneasy and told Qin Sisi Lin Shan’s room number.

Imdiately, Qin Sisi spun on her heel and bolted towards the floor below.

A small black figure zipped by. Xiao Yan blinked, anxiously saying, "Manager, I think sothing went in with her."

"What thing?" asked the lobby manager questioningly.

Xiao Yan stuttered. "It looked like... It looked like a cat."

"A cat?" The manager glanced at the direction where Qin Sisi had run off. But all seed plain and tranquil with no signs of any abnormalities.

The manager’s heart settled, and they said to Xiao Yan, "I didn’t see anything. Are you sure you saw right?"

Feeling dumbfounded, Xiao Yan imdiately composed herself and responded, "Yeah, I must have been seeing things."

The manager gave Xiao Yan a disgruntled look before turning to leave.

Xiao Yan continued her shift at the front desk, a flurry of question marks circulating through her mind. Did I really see sothing?

Qin Sisi located the room number given by the lobby manager. Without delay, she started to bang on the door with all her strength while shouting loudly, "Open the door, open the door quickly! Are you in there, Shan Shan? Open this door now!"

Lin Ying too, anxiously rushed to join the door pounding. However, her hand made no sound as it t the door and only Qin Sisi and Ye You could hear her almost voice-breaking shout.

A few minutes later, the door finally opened.

Lin Shan, wearing a large white bathrobe, looked frightened and bewildered, "Sisi? What brings you here?"

Before Qin Sisi could reply, Lin Ying moved quickly forward, aiming a slap at Lin Shan’s face.

Unfortunately, she was just a ghostly apparition with a virtual body; her form passed almost entirely through Lin Shan’s body with Lin Shan feeling nothing, just looking a little bewildered at Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi looked at Lin Ying’s desperation, her heart twisted, and she took a step forward, delivering a resounding slap to Lin Shan’s face.

The sound of the slap echoed, leaving a raised red hand print on Lin Shan’s fair cheek.

Lin Shan was completely taken aback, she covered her stricken face, incredulous eyes fixed on Qin Sisi, mumbling, "Sisi, you slapped ?"

Qin Sisi gazed at Lin Shan, lips parting slightly, "This slap is for your sister."

"Sister?" Lin Shan did not fully comprehend Qin Sisi’s words, but the term "sister" apparently hit a nerve, her face betraying a hint of guilt.

At that mont, a middle-aged man, also wearing a white bathrobe, walked from inside the room to the door. This must be Wei Ruhai, around forty years old, gentle and refined. His upper body was bare, and his physique wasn’t bad.

Unfortunately, in Qin Sisi’s eyes, no matter how physically attractive this man was, he was nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing, luring little girls astray.

Wei Ruhai gathered Lin Shan in his arms, comforting her. At the sa ti, he sharply asked Qin Sisi, "Who are you? How can you hit soone like that?"

Having said that, Wei Ruhai shouted out in the hallway for any nearby staff.

Wei Ruhai was taken aback, not expecting this young woman to be so fierce.

Upon hearing Qin Sisi’s words, Lin Shan’s eyes widened in surprise asking, "Sisi, you... how did you find out?"

Qin Sisi replied coldly, "Your sister told , she’s outside. Get dressed quickly, we’re going to see her."
