Chapter 156: Chapter 156: Acquaintance at the Car Accident Scene_1

Qin Sisi smiled faintly, calling out in a crisp voice, "Wings of Rainbow!"

Colorful wings unfolded behind her, reflecting on Qin Sisi’s fair and beautiful face, adding a touch of confidence to her brow while the hint of hesitation faded off.

Controlling the Wings of Rainbow, Qin Sisi flew rapidly towards the distance, soaring higher into the city’s skyline, like a beautifully colorful teor streaking across the night sky.

Ye You stood on Qin Sisi’s shoulder, his purple eyes deep and quiet like a pond of shimring waves, quietly reflecting Qin Sisi’s focused expression.

By the ti they approached the thruway, an urgent brake sound pierced eardrums, followed by an enormous crash noise.

Qin Sisi was alard, she quickly looked towards the sound and saw a black car stopped in the middle of the nearby road, and a bicycle lying in front of the car.

Further along, there was a figure lying motionless on the ground.

A car crash? She wondered if the person involved was okay.

Qin Sisi considered for a mont, slowed down and flew over to them, gently descending at the roadside.

The driver got out of the black car looking rather scared. He looked around, then took out his phone and started dialing.

Qin Sisi heard him call the police and felt sowhat relieved. She then glanced at the knocked down person.

The figure was face-down, making it impossible to recognize. However, from the hair and clothes, it appeared to be a woman. The woman’s head seed to be gravely injured, as it was surrounded by a large puddle of blood.

Qin Sisi felt a sense of dread. She cautiously walked over and squatted in front of the woman. She intended to turn the woman over to see if she was breathing, but refrained from touching her.

This particular hesitation stemd from the fact that one should not move a person with a head injury, and the police would survey the scene, altering the position of the body could interfere with the investigation.

Qin Sisi withdrew her hand, turning to Ye You, she asked, "Can you tell what her condition is?"

Ye You had a quick look, then shook his head, stating, "Her injuries are too severe, there’s no hope."

Although she had been anticipating the answer, she sighed in sadness after Ye You confird it. Another life gone just like that, it once again reminded her how fragile life really was.

Qin Sisi stood up, staring at the lifeless body laying in the pool of blood, and held a mont of silence.

She then retreated a few steps, quietly observing the surrounding movent.

If this person was beyond help, her ghost would likely wake up.

After approximately ten minutes, Ye You whispered in Qin Sisi’s ear, "It’s here."

Qin Sisi brightened, looking at the body wide-eyed. However, upon seeing the sight, she couldn’t help but scream in surprise, covering her mouth with one hand and her eyes filling with tears.

The ghost stood up from the fallen body, looking around uncertainly with a confused expression, seemingly yet unsure about what had transpired.

Short bob haircut and kind-looking eyes, modestly and elegantly dressed.

It was Lin Ying, Lin Shan’s sister.

Ye You, who had never t Lin Ying before, seeing Qin Sisi’s dramatic reaction, hurriedly asked with concern, "What’s wrong? Do you know her?"

Qin Sisi nodded, chokingly saying, "Her na is Lin Ying, Shan Shan’s sister."

Ye You fell silent, witnessing the death of a close friend or family mber was a cruel thing.

"What should we do now?" Qin Sisi felt emotionally affected, and was unsure of how to proceed.

In a deep and serious voice, Ye You said, "First, let’s take her away from here, the ssenger of Death should be arriving soon."

"Alright." Qin Sisi replied softly, swiftly moved forward, took Lin Ying’s hand and summoned the Wings of Rainbow, pulling Lin Ying as they flew away.

Just as Qin Sisi left with Lin Ying, the ssenger of Death, clad in a black cloak, appeared above the body.

The ssenger of Death muttered a few words under his breath, but the cold body remained unresponsive.

"Gone?" The ssenger of Death stared at the body in confusion, eventually shaking his head in resignation.

ssengers of Death wouldn’t usually spend too much ti on a common ghost. Seeing the ghost vanish, other than a hint of disappointnt from returning empty-handed, he showed no other emotion.

The ssenger of Death’s black cloak fluttered slightly, and the dark figure disappeared into the vast night sky.

Qin Sisi brought Lin Ying to a secluded place. Once certain that no one was around, she descended and withdrew the Wings of Rainbow. Then she turned to face Lin Ying’s ghost, calling out sorrowfully, "Sister Ying."

Lin Ying was still rather confused. Upon hearing Qin Sisi’s call, she was startled, she observed Qin Sisi for a mont before tentatively asking, "You ... are you ... Qin Sisi?"

Qin Sisi nodded, managed a smile, and said, "Yes, I’m Shan Shan’s colleague, we’ve t before."

On hearing "Lin Shan," Lin Ying’s face turned pail, she anxiously said, "Shan Shan? Where is Shan Shan? I need to find her."

Qin Sisi was puzzled, assuming Lin Ying’s ntal clarity hadn’t fully returned, she tightened her grip on Lin Ying’s hand and gently reminded her. "Sister Ying, do you rember that you were in a car accident?"

"Car accident?" Lin Ying’s body trembled. A terrified look flashed across her face as she mumbled, "I went out to find Shan Shan, I wanted to cross the road, then ..."

The horrifying mory of the sudden brake and severe crash replayed in her mind. Lin Ying’s face turned pale as she scread, clutching her ears.

"Sister Ying." Qin Sisi promptly grabbed Lin Ying’s shoulders. She wanted to say sothing consoling, but was at a loss about what to say.

All comforting words were for the living. What need was there to comfort the dead?

Tears welled up in Qin Sisi’s eyes. She bit her lip hard, and braced herself to say, "Sister Ying, you have already left this world. Now you’re just a ghost."

Though it felt cruel, it was ultimately the reality that had to be faced.

"I’m a ghost?" Lin Ying strained to voice out these words.

Qin Sisi expected her to react emotionally, even to lose control. After all, everyone would surely resist the idea of their unexpected death.

However, Lin Ying gradually regained her composure. She took Qin Sisi’s returning hand and pleaded with urgency, "I can’t worry about that now, Qin Sisi, I know you’re not a normal person, please save Shan Shan. You’re the only one that can help

now."

"Shan Shan?" Qin Sisi repeated in confusion, recalling that Lin Ying had ntioned going out to find Lin Shan earlier.

Could it be that Lin Shan was in danger?

Qin Sisi couldn’t help but grow anxious, imdiately asking, "What happened to Shan Shan? Where is she?"

Lin Ying opened her mouth. She was visibly anxious, but she didn’t manage to say anything.
