Chapter 15: Chapter 15 The Full Moon Night_1

Qin Sisi was suddenly tense, her mouth slightly open, her eyes shifting onto Xiao Hei.

Could it really be Xiao Hei? But why?

Xiao Hei seed to sense Qin Sisi’s change in emotion. It turned its head to look at her, brushed her palm away with its head, and blinked its eyes.

On Qin Sisi’s palm a line of text appeared: "We’ll talk back ho."

Qin Sisi stared at Xiao Hei for a while, eventually giving a slight nod. Then she absent-mindedly finished her dumplings, hardly tasting them.

At the checkout, the man from earlier was at the counter. Qin Sisi cautiously asked, "Excuse , is the boss lady alright?"

The man smiled, replying, "No worries, she just got a little scared. Thank you for your concern!"

Qin Sisi responded with a challenging smile, and then left the dumpling restaurant with Xiao Hei.

Qin Sisi walked swiftly back ho. Once she arrived, she eagerly pulled Xiao Hei from her bag and asked anxiously, "Xiao Hei, what’s going on?"

Xiao Hei turned its head towards a piece of white paper on the dinner table, blinked its eyes, a flash of purple light dashing forth, and a line of text appeared on the paper: "We’ll talk tonight. Get so sleep first."

What?!

Qin Sisi glared at Xiao Hei in annoyance: "What do you an? Who sleeps in the broad daylight? Didn’t you say we would talk when we got back? What’s going on? Spit it out, or I... I..." pointing at the window, Qin Sisi declared, "I’ll throw you out of the window!"

She almost believed that the incident at the dumpling restaurant had sothing to do with Xiao Hei, and began to suspect that the cat that she picked up which could perform magic was in fact sothing evil. But Xiao Hei had indeed saved her life, this conflicting feeling made her lose control of her emotions.

Xiao Hei abruptly looked up at Qin Sisi, its gaze toward her sohow intense. Qin Sisi felt a little uneasy under its stare.

Withdrawing its sharp gaze, Xiao Hei heaved a sigh internally. This was the first ti it saw Qin Sisi angry; being misunderstood felt terrible. In the end, it was its own strange behavior that caused this.

Xiao Hei blinked at the white paper again, and words appeared one after another: "Things are a bit complicated, I’ll tell you when I can speak. We start at 11:30 tonight. You’re tired, get so rest first."

Qin Sisi opened her mouth, gradually calming down. Maybe she was too impatient. It was only a few hours, waiting wouldn’t hurt.

Qin Sisi looked at Xiao Hei and declared firmly, "Keep your word."

Xiao Hei didn’t blink but instead nodded solemnly.

Qin Sisi exhaled in relief, thinking she had been too harsh earlier. She mustered up the courage to apologize, "Sorry. I shouldn’t have lost my temper."

Having said that, she found it amusing. She was apologizing to a cat. But then it occurred to her, Xiao Hei was no longer just a cat in her eyes.

Hearing Qin Sisi’s apology, Xiao Hei looked up at her, its purple eyes glistening and unfathomably mysterious.

Qin Sisi was caught off guard for a mont until Xiao Hei looked down and squinted its eyes. She snapped back to reality, feeling sowhat uneasy. Her curiosity about Xiao Hei’s true identity intensified.

Qin Sisi set the alarm on her phone, then went to bed. Having walked around all day, she was indeed rather tired. But she found it hard to fall asleep due to excruciating anticipation.

Once the alarm rang, Qin Sisi instantly leapt out of bed. Looking up nervously, she saw Xiao Hei sitting on the table. Its eyes shone like purple gemstones, staring straight at her.

Qin Sisi was stunned again, Xiao Hei’s deanor seed to be... regal. Always calm and composed; with an air of elegant nobility.

Seeing Qin Sisi lost in thought, Xiao Hei owed questioningly. She only snapped out of her daze and quickly went over to Xiao Hei when she saw that a new paragraph appeared on the paper. After reading it, she found herself shivering and her face turned pale.

Her reaction, of course, didn’t escape Xiao Hei’s eyes. Xia Hei hesitated for a second, blinked at the piece of paper and another line of text appeared: "If you’re scared, forget it."

A wave of panic washed over Qin Sisi. She looked at Xiao Hei and asked, "What about you?"

Xiao Hei avoided Qin Sisi’s gaze. Another line of text appeared on the paper: "I will make you forget about , then leave."

"No." Qin Sisi replied firmly, "Don’t leave, I can do it."

Xiao Hei’s eyes seed to be filled with stars as a radiant flash of light passed by. It didn’t say another word but moved into the bathroom instead.

Qin Sisi sighed deeply, closing her eyes to calm herself. With her parents no longer around and no other relatives left, she was alone in this world. How much worse could it get?

Qin Sisi opened her eyes. The bright and watery sheen reflected a newfound resolve. Knowing Xiao Hei was waiting for her, she started to act quickly.

According to Xiao Hei’s instructions, she first put on a white dress.

This was easy since most of her clothes were black and white to begin with. In the end, Qin Sisi picked a pretty white dress. She saw the dress a year ago, on a whim. The price was steep for her, but she liked it so much she felt compelled to buy it. The dress was long, not suitable for work, so she only wore it a few tis.

Then, Qin Sisi took the white candles and lighter that she had just bought, turning off all the lights in the room. Darkness instantly surrounded her.

It was hard to deny her fear. Qin Sisi felt her body tensing up, forcing herself to stay calm. She lighted the lighter with trembling fingers, and with its faint light, she moved into the narrow bathroom, locking the door as Xiao Hei instructed.

Xiao Hei was sitting on the sink counter, gazing at its own reflection. When it heard the door, it turned its head and was taken aback.

To Xiao Hei, the dark was no different from daylight.

At this mont, Qin Sisi, donned in her white gown looked especially ethereal. Her pale arms sowhat visible beneath the semi-transparent sleeves, her well-defined waistline accentuated her slender figure.

As Qin Sisi approached, Xiao Hei awkwardly turned its head away, it never imagined being bewitched by beauty.

Qin Sisi remained silent, peeking at Xiao Hei seated on the sink counter. She quietly followed the instructions on the paper, ticulously carrying out each step.

She lit up two white candles with the lighter and placed them on either side of the mirror, then extinguished the lighter.

This ti, nearing midnight, was when Yin Energy was at its peak in a day.

Today was the fifteenth day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar, the day of the full moon. The sun represented Yang Energy, the moon, Yin. The day when Big Dipper moves and the door to the ghost world opens is also the day when Yin Energy is at its strongest for the month.
