Chapter 1370: Chapter 1370: Red Ant Scepter

Looking at the red ants crawling all over the ground, Ye You turned to Qin Sisi and softly asked, "Do you have any suggestions?"

Qin Sisi thought for a mont, then replied, "Since they have already pleaded for rcy, and we’ve already slain many red ants, let’s spare the rest of them."

Ye You had anticipated Qin Sisi’s response, and with a slight curve at the corner of his mouth, he continued to ask, "What if they attack us again later?"

Qin Sisi hesitated for a second and solemnly said, "Then we will show no rcy."

Ye You reached out and gently patted Qin Sisi’s head, saying with a smile, "Alright, I’ll listen to you."

After speaking, Ye You flicked his fingers and released a trace of Wood Attribute Magic Power, using a healing skill to tend to the Ant Queen’s injuries.

Ye You’s magic power was already above that of the Ant Queen, so even if her injuries healed, she would still be no match for him.

Moreover, that trace of Wood Attribute Magic Power was very weak, and the Ant Queen’s injuries were severe, so it couldn’t completely heal her.

Ye You was rely using this thod to tell the Ant Queen that he accepted the Red Ant Clan’s plea for rcy and was willing to cease fire, sparing their lives.

The Ant Queen’s tense and anxious mood finally eased a bit, and she slightly lifted her head, looking at Ye You reverently.

Ye You put away the silver sphere, placed Qin Sisi on his shoulder, and steadily descended from mid-air, landing in front of the Ant Queen.

The Ant Queen stood up, bowed her head to Ye You once more, expressing her desire to stop fighting and let everything end here.

Ye You nodded, pointing upward with a finger, indicating that they wished to leave and return to the surface.

The Ant Queen was montarily stunned but quickly understood Ye You’s aning. She nodded as well and summoned a small red ant, commanding it to lead Ye You back to the surface.

Just as Ye You was about to turn and leave, the Ant Queen suddenly rushed in front of him, blocking his way, her large round eyes filled with a pleading expression.

Qin Sisi’s eyes flickered with confusion as she asked, "What does it want?"

Ye You thought for a mont and then retrieved a magic scepter from his Portable Space; it had a dark-golden long handle with a silver sphere embedded at the top, inside which was a bright red ant—the one originally used by the Ant Queen.

Realizing this, Qin Sisi understood that the Ant Queen wanted her magic scepter back.

Upon seeing the scepter, the Ant Queen’s eyes lit up, and she hurried forward, eager to reclaim it. But with a flip of Ye You’s hand, the Red Ant scepter vanished again.

The Ant Queen was left stunned, staring blankly at Ye You with a growing sense of foreboding.

Ye You, with a calm expression, said, "This all started because of you. Consider this scepter as compensation!"

The Ant Queen felt a rush of anxiety and anger, but there was nothing she could do. The Red Ant scepter was a symbol of her authority and a treasured heirloom of the Red Ant Clan. Without it, she feared the number of ants she could control would drastically decrease.

But the victor takes the spoils. She couldn’t best Ye You and had to forgo the Red Ant scepter. If she demanded it back forcefully, she feared she might lose her life instead.

Finally, the helpless Ant Queen slowly stepped aside and resigned to accept the reality.

The small red ant led Ye You and Qin Sisi through a series of long tunnels, eventually erging from the underground world into the bright and scorching surface.

Gazing up at the brilliantly shining sun, Qin Sisi remarked, "Finally seeing the sunlight again."

Their mood was buoyant and excited upon reaching the surface, but before long, the heat and dryness quickly dampened their spirits.

It hardly ever rains in the desert, and the sun always seems so bright, so intense, so scorching.

The blazing sun baked the sand, causing it to emit waves of heat.

For Ye You and Qin Sisi, flying at low altitude, there was the blazing sun above and the steaming sand below; they were being roasted and stead at the sa ti.

The bright sunlight shone down on them, making both of them sweaty. Ye You removed his outer robe and wore only a thin shirt, but even so, the shirt was soaked repeatedly with sweat.

Qin Sisi lay languidly on Ye You’s shoulder, thinking that it was more comfortable underground.

Finally, they eagerly awaited the evening’s arrival. The sun gradually set behind the hills, and the air beca refreshingly cool.

Ye You took Qin Sisi to rest behind a dune for a while.

They sat down on the not-too-hot sand, and Ye You took out two black inner cores from his Portable Space, handing one to Qin Sisi.

Qin Sisi looked at it with curiosity and suddenly guessed the origins of these two inner cores: "Are these the inner cores of the kings of Demonic Beasts from the Forest of Death?"

"Yes," Ye You nodded and put his remaining inner core into his mouth.

Back in the Forest of Death, after defeating and killing both the Ghost Wing Bat King and Redbacked Spider King, Ye You had retrieved their inner cores. However, after Zi Yu dispersed all her Plant Spirit Power, restoring the Forest of Death to a vibrant woodland, they no longer needed the Demon Beast’s inner core to adapt to the desert environnt.

Now, the Deep Pupil Desert was more inhospitable than the Forest of Death had been, and the inner cores of those lower-level Demonic Beasts taken in the Forest of Death seed insufficient, so Ye You thought of these two Demon Beast King inner cores.

Qin Sisi followed Ye You’s example and placed the black inner core into her mouth. The Demon Beast King’s inner core was incomparable to those of ordinary Demonic Beasts. After consuming it, their ability to adapt to the desert environnt greatly increased, and the threat of heat and dryness was no longer an issue for them.

Ye You cradled Qin Sisi in his arms again, took out the Red Ant scepter from his Portable Space.

Qin Sisi blinked and quietly asked, "Is this scepter useful to us? Why not return it to the Ant Queen?"

Ye You smiled slightly and replied, "Of course it’s useful. The Ant family excels in Earth Magic. The red ant sealed in this scepter should be an ancestor of the Ant family and must possess powerful and pure Earth Attribute Magic Power."

"You an..." Qin Sisi vaguely guessed Ye You’s intention.

Ye You placed the Red Ant scepter in front of Qin Sisi and said loudly, "I’m giving it to you. Absorb the Earth Attribute Magic Power within, and your Earth Magic will improve greatly. If you encounter danger in the future, you can use the Burrow Escape to evade it."

Qin Sisi gratefully glanced at Ye You. He promised her to spare the Ant Queen and her family but also risked incurring the Ant Queen’s lifelong resentnt by forcibly keeping this Red Ant scepter.

Every action, in the end, was for her.
