Chapter 1364: Chapter 1364: Deep Pupil Desert

After parting with Zi Yu, Ye You took Qin Sisi all the way west.

First was the Forest of Death, now revived with life. The dense trees blocked out the sun, and the verdant leaves shimred with specks of light under the sunlight, no longer showing the desolation and terror of the past.

Then there was a vast savannah with sparse trees, flat and expansive terrain that slightly undulated in the distance. The entire ground was covered with lush green grass, like a thick carpet, appearing particularly fresh against the blue sky.

Tall trees were scattered across the endless grassland, resembling lonely soldiers.

Gradually, the trees completely disappeared, and the grass on the savannah beca increasingly sparse and withered until it vanished entirely, leaving only yellow sand, and beyond that, it turned into a true desert.

This was a world of yellow sand, a vast desert, an endless sea of sand. Here, nature is left with only one color: yellow, yellow, and yellow again.

The variously shaped sand dunes seed like turbulent waves, furious and surging waves frozen in an instant by so magical force, rendering them forever still.

The inner core obtained in the Forest of Death played a crucial role at this mont. If it were the previous Ye You and Qin Sisi, they might have felt deeply tornted by this scorching and dry environnt, but after consuming so many inner cores from desert demonic beasts, their ability to adapt to the desert environnt improved significantly.

At this mont, traveling through the endless desert did not feel unbearable.

The first few days of entering the desert were relatively calm. There was neither extrely harsh weather encountered nor difficult demonic beasts to deal with. Occasionally, they ca across a few red ants, but they did not pay them much mind.

However, peace was ultimately just on the surface. This vast sea of sand seed like a dormant volcano, quietly dormant, possessing destructive power once changes occurred.

Qin Sisi and Ye You encountered their first crisis in the Deep Pupil Desert—a sandstorm.

It was a scorching afternoon when a colorful cloud suddenly appeared in the western sky, its splendid colors looking very beautiful. Qin Sisi and Ye You, who had almost no experience with deserts, were amazed for a mont by that colorful cloud.

Soon, they realized what that colorful cloud represented.

The colorful cloud was getting closer to them and growing larger, almost covering half the sky. The light suddenly dimd, and the wind in the air began to strengthen.

Yellow sand was lifted, swept up by the fierce wind, ravaging the air. Before their eyes, there was gradually nothing but swirling yellow sand, with no other scenery in sight.

Ye You was flying in the sky with Qin Sisi in his arms, but the special weather conditions were not suitable for flight, so he had to land and take shelter behind a sand dune to avoid the storm.

The storm grew stronger, stirring up waves of yellow sand. The sky darkened as if it were the end of the world, and the howling of the wind in the ears sounded like countless demonic beasts roaring.

Just as Ye You landed with Qin Sisi behind the sand dune, the storm swept up with the yellow sand and buried half of their bodies.

Ye You had just prepared to stand up when the sand dune behind them was suddenly set in motion by the storm, burying both of them entirely beneath it.

Underneath the sand dune, it suddenly felt much quieter. Since both could use the Burrow Escape technique, staying underground for a few hours wasn’t a problem. Ye You simply decided not to attempt to go out, choosing to remain underground until the storm passed.

A few hours later, Ye You carefully listened. The howling of the wind outside seed to have subsided sowhat. He was just about to go out and take a look when he heard Qin Sisi cry out in pain.

"What’s wrong?" Ye You was startled and hurriedly asked.

"It seems like sothing is biting ." Qin Sisi’s voice was tense. The pitch-black underground made everything invisible, and she was uncertain how that sudden pain had occurred.

Ye You quickly looked at Qin Sisi’s body, but before he could see clearly, a sudden sharp pain spread from his ear throughout his body, truly unbearable. Even Ye You let out a soft gasp, then, holding Qin Sisi, he leapt out of the yellow sand underground.

The storm had indeed subsided, and the surroundings returned to calm. However, it seed the entire landscape had changed dramatically, with new sand dunes where flat ground was and flat ground where sand dunes had once been.

The colorful clouds on the horizon disappeared, and sunshine once again bathed the earth, though the sky remained sowhat hazy, and the air was filled with the scent of earth.

As soon as Ye You steadied himself, he imdiately checked Qin Sisi’s body, his expression changing dramatically. He quickly raised his hand to sweep away the red ants crawling on Qin Sisi, shooting green-purple flas to burn the biter ants to death.

"Does it still hurt?" Ye You asked with concern.

"It hurts," Qin Sisi softly replied, lifting her head to look at Ye You. Her eyes suddenly tightened as she endured the pain and flicked a red ant off Ye You’s ear.

"Does it hurt for you too?" Qin Sisi asked with concern.

Ye You smiled, "A little. It won’t hurt if you give

a kiss."

"You still have the mood to joke at a ti like this." Qin Sisi glared at him angrily, then lay still in his arms.

Ye You carefully parted her snow-white fur and indeed found the skin underneath was swollen. The red ants were venomous; Ye You quickly fed her a Jade lting Pill and used the healing skill of Wood Magic to treat her injuries.

The red ants weren’t particularly aggressive. Besides the pain from the bites, they didn’t cause other harm, so neither of them paid much attention to it.

The desert ground was too hot and dry, so many animals chose to live underground to avoid the scorching desert climate.

Ye You finished tending to Qin Sisi’s wounds, and Qin Sisi helped heal the bite on Ye You’s ear as well.

Just as they finished these tasks and prepared to continue their journey, they suddenly noticed that many red ants had gathered around, encircling them.

Moreover, more red ants were continuously erging from the yellow sand, one after another, layer upon layer, surging towards them like a red tide.

"What’s going on?" Qin Sisi was startled by the countless red ants before her. Having just been bitten, the pain was indescribable. If that many red ants climbed onto her body and began biting, it would truly be a fate worse than death.

Ye You kept his lips tightly sealed, not speaking, but quickly conjured magic wings, preparing to fly up into the sky and swiftly leave the area. Since red ants were crawling insects and unable to fly, he felt confident they could escape.

However, just as he flapped his wings and pushed off the ground, intending to fly into the sky, he suddenly felt the ground beneath him give way, causing his body to fall uncontrollably downward.
