Chapter 1357: Chapter 1357: Benevolence Is Invincible

Ye You’s expression changed slightly as he turned his head to follow Qin Sisi’s gaze. Two massive creatures ca into view, one in the sky and one on the ground.

In the sky was a Ghost Wing Bat, and on the ground was a Redback Spider. These two demonic beasts were much larger than any they had encountered before, each asuring ten ters in length, like a cloud brewing a storm and a mountain brimming with danger.

Ye You’s divine sense scanned them and was surprised to find that both creatures were Level Eight in strength, equivalent to the power of a human Demon Lord. Clearly, these two were the kings of the Ghost Wing Bat and Redback Spider species.

He had only recently ascended to beco a Demon Lord, just a low-level one. Facing one Level Eight demonic beast alone was manageable, but dealing with both at the sa ti ant victory was unlikely.

Ye You thought for a mont and turned to Zi Yu, saying, "Zi Yu, there are two Level Eight demonic beasts in front of us now. My ability to hold on won’t last long. If you’ve made up your mind, seize the mont!"

Zi Yu’s expression grew more serious, as he replied warmly and resolutely, "Alright, I’m ready."

Ye You then turned to Qin Sisi and said, "I’ll go hold them off while you protect Zi Yu."

Qin Sisi showed a hesitant expression, but ultimately nodded and softly said, "I know. Be careful. You haven’t finished what you promised , as the Sage Ruler, you must keep your word."

You promised to gather four portions of Life Divine Water for , to help rebuild my body; you said you would stay with

forever, never to part; you said we would have many children and live together happily.

None of these things have been fulfilled yet, so you must co back safe and sound to continue walking this path with .

Ye You’s gaze darkened slightly. He embraced Qin Sisi tightly, then turned and forcefully flapped his magic wings, flying toward the two demonic beasts.

After deliberation, he chose to battle in the sky.

Because if on the ground, the Ghost Wing Bat could lower its flying height to attack, while the spider could not fly. Battling in the sky ant he would be less vulnerable to attacks from the Redback Spider.

However, Ye You forgot that, while spiders cannot fly, their webs can. When he and Qin Sisi had first entered the Dark Forest, they were blocked by the webs of a Snow Spider in a field of Sun Circle flowers.

Ye You focused most of his attention on the Ghost Wing Bat king, which was enveloped in a circle of black light—formidable and mysterious—and its gigantic, sharp wings could crush lower-level defensive skills outright.

Ye You dared not underestimate it. From the start, he unleashed powerful magic skills against the Ghost Wing Bat king, engaging in a fierce battle. Silver magic light clashed with black magic light mid-air, and waves of energy continuously scattered outward, heating and distorting the air.

While Ye You was unguarded, the Redback Spider king on the ground shot out a red strand of web from its rear—a finger-thick thread that, unlike ordinary webs, was tough like a rope.

Off guard, Ye You got his leg entangled by the red web, causing him to montarily halt.

The Redback Spider king seized the opportunity, moving quickly with its eight hairy legs, trying to pull Ye You down from the sky, while the Ghost Wing Bat king intensified its assault.

On one hand, Ye You used the Sparrow Spirit Scepter to fend off the Ghost Wing Bat king’s attacks, while quickly gathering Gold Attribute Magic Power to form a dagger and sever the red web.

Then, flapping his wings, he swiftly flew in the direction of safety, naturally pursued by the Ghost Wing Bat king.

Ye You dared not fly too far, fearing the Redback Spider king, deprived of this target, might turn its sights on Qin Sisi and the others.

So he started leading the two beast kings in circles, trying to keep the distance such that the Redback Spider king could still see him but couldn’t launch an accurate attack. When it approached, he tried to fly a little further away.

This fighting and fleeing stretched the battle out, making it impossible to determine a winner quickly.

Following Zi Yu’s instructions, Qin Sisi brought him above the center area and guarded by his side, vigilantly scanning the surroundings.

Zi Yu stood quietly in mid-air on a green cloud, expressionless despite his face being rendered unrecognizable by the Redback Spider’s venom.

The raging wind whipped at his blood-stained garnts, causing them to flap and flutter, while his dark green long hair danced in the air. Yet his stance remained steady as a mountain, upright like a pine tree.

He slowly raised his arms, activating the Magic Source Rotation. Pure spiritual power within his body began to spread outward, emitting dazzling silver light from his white robe.

In an instant, the bloodstains on the white robe vanished, restoring its purity without a speck of dirt, mirroring his selfless and benevolent soul.

Specks of silver light floated from his snow-white robe like crystalline snowflakes, nourishing this dried, withered, harsh land of death.

As the silver light scattered into the air, the howling winds suddenly weakened. As the silver light fell upon the cracked ground, hints of moisture appeared on the parched, yellow soil; it settled on the charred branches, infusing fresh green into the lifeless black wood.

Qin Sisi watched the surrounding changes with delight. She looked up at Zi Yu and softly encouraged, "Zi Yu, I see hope. Keep going!"

As the spiritual power dispersed, Zi Yu’s body grew increasingly faint. Silver light, like countless stars, continued to spread out, transforming the harsh environnt of the Forest of Death with pure and true plant essence.

Just when the cracks on the land completely disappeared, Zi Yu’s body trembled a few tis and stopped releasing spiritual power.

Qin Sisi’s expression turned somber as she watched him nervously.

He turned around, quivering dry lips, and said hoarsely, "Patrones Sisi, do you have water? I’m so thirsty, I can’t hold on."

Qin Sisi was taken aback at the sight of anguish in Zi Yu’s eyes.

This whole journey, to maintain the purity of his spiritual power, Zi Yu refused to consu Demon Beast’s internal alchemy, relying solely on magic power to withstand the Forest of Death’s hostile environnt. Now, his body’s endurance had reached its limit.

His essence was made of nurous essences of heaven and earth and plant spirit power, and no plant could survive long-term severe drought.

Water is the source of life, essential for every being. Zi Yu had lost too much water while traveling, and his body functions had declined significantly, preventing him from enduring until the end.
