Chapter 1337: Chapter 1337: The Witch’s Hat
After weighing the pros and cons, Ye You gritted his teeth and swallowed the Colorful Internal Alchemy.
Qin Sisi looked at him gently, understanding Ye You’s deep feelings for her, but the future was uncertain before them. They had to be cautious and make the choices most beneficial to them.
Ye You consud the Colorful Internal Alchemy, hugged Qin Sisi tightly, and whispered, "I will definitely find all four portions of Life Divine Water for you to restore your health."
Qin Sisi nodded softly in reply, "I believe in you."
Ye You’s eyes brightened. This "believe" was the sweetest words he had ever heard.
He lifted a paw to ruffle Qin Sisi’s hair, then bent down to kiss her gently.
Qin Sisi shyly turned away, but out of the corner of her eye, she suddenly caught a glimpse of a strange shadow.
Startled, she quickly turned her head to examine more carefully, yet saw nothing, only branches swaying gently.
"What’s wrong?" Ye You noticed Qin Sisi’s unusual behavior and quickly asked.
Qin Sisi shook her head, a bit doubtful of herself, and said, "Maybe I was mistaken."
"What did you see?" Ye You was not convinced that Qin Sisi would be mistaken.
Qin Sisi thought back seriously, pointing to where the branches swayed, and replied, "It seed there was soone watching us, a very strange person, different from us, perhaps not even a person..."
Ye You couldn’t quite understand: "Be more specific, was it a person or a demonic beast?"
Qin Sisi hesitated, thinking for a mont before replying, "Perhaps a person, but a green person. I don’t know if it was him that looked like that or if he was wearing green clothes."
Ye You glanced in that direction but also saw nothing. If soone had been there, they should have run away by now.
So he comforted Qin Sisi, "No worries, if that person has any business with us, they will undoubtedly show up again."
Qin Sisi nodded, temporarily putting the strange shadow out of her mind, and with Ye You, resud their journey deeper into the Dark Forest.
They traveled for more than half a year.
Dense trees, lush greenery, exotic plants, dangerous demonic beasts...
Along the way, they encountered many dangers, witnessed a variety of peculiar plants, and gradually beca familiar with the Dark Forest’s environnt. They beca skilled at distinguishing which plants were poisonous, which were safe, which animals were fierce, and which were gentle.
Moreover, Qin Sisi saw that strange shadow twice more, and she no longer doubted herself, convinced that it was real - a green person.
They couldn’t tell whether it was a person or a human-shaped demonic beast. It was incredibly fast, far too fast to be chased down.
After more than half a year, they finally found an unusual place and saw a tall, small castle towering overhead, an exceptionally tall castle.
A tree with a diater of about ten ters stood majestically, with all outward-leaning branches removed and no leaves in sight, leaving only a thick and tall trunk.
The trunk stretched straight up, reaching hundreds of ters in height.
At the top of the trunk was a small castle, with dark green walls and a dark green pointed roof. The castle had no door, only an open window.
Within a hundred-ter radius, this was the only tree, truly an extraordinary spot in the lush Dark Forest.
The ground was covered with a layer of fresh, tender green grass, soft and fragrant, relaxing, and particularly comfortable to walk on.
Qin Sisi and Ye You gazed upward for a while at the base of the Big Tree Castle but found nothing strange. They exchanged glances and decided to go up and take a look.
Ye You was just about to summon his magic wings to fly up to the castle at the top of the tree when, suddenly, the sound of urgent footsteps approached from not far away, moving toward their direction.
His expression sharpened, and he quickly embraced Qin Sisi, pulling her into the bushes outside the grassy area.
They had co to find the Deity Guardians of the Dark Forest. Until the last mont, they did not intend to reveal their identities.
Moreover, secretly observing the Deity Guardians might provide better clues, beneficial to their upcoming negotiations.
Ye You and Qin Sisi had just hidden in the bushes when a hunched figure ca into view.
The figure wore black clothing, a small form huddled within a large black cloak, topped with a pointed hat.
The hat reminded Qin Sisi of the hat she would wear when collecting Soul Power for Ye You at night, a pointed witch’s hat.
"Witch’s hat" suddenly popped into Qin Sisi’s mind. Her heart skipped a beat, and she raised a paw to write the word "witch" on Ye You’s back.
Ye You nodded at her, and they continued to stare intently at the figure wearing the witch’s hat.
Judging by her stature and walking posture, she was presumably a woman, an older woman.
The woman in the witch’s hat slowly walked out of the bush onto the lush, soft grass up to the base of the tree.
Qin Sisi and Ye You peered curiously at the suddenly appearing woman in black. If this was her residence, she must be able to fly or have so fantastic flying magic artifact. They both wanted to observe this witch’s magical prowess.
Unfortunately, to their surprise, the woman in black neither flew nor took out any impressive flying artifact. She rely stood at the base of the tree and recited a low incantation.
Then, from the high castle above, a green vine descended. The vine was thick and looked sturdy, its lowest end tied in a knot.
The green vine extended downward, reaching the feet of the woman in black.
The woman in black grasped the vine, stepped on the knot at the vine’s bottom, and when she was ready, softly chanted another incantation, causing the vine to slowly lift her upwards.
Qin Sisi was slightly puzzled. If this black-clad woman was truly the Deity Guardian they sought, entering the castle with magic would be a trivial matter. Why rely on the vine’s power? Even Xiao ng could accomplish this.
Monts later, the vine carried the woman in black through the open window into the Big Tree Castle.
The surroundings returned to silence. To be safe, Qin Sisi and Ye You waited a bit longer before erging from the bushes and slowly approaching the base of the Big Tree Castle.
They, of course, did not know the incantation the woman in black had used, and after pondering briefly, decided to employ their usual thod.
Ye You returned to his human form. Nowadays, he could accomplish many small tasks with re thought, and upon returning to human form, black clothes automatically adorned his body in a breath.
The Dark Forest was dense with trees like a sea, yet this area was different. Ye You felt that the black-clad woman was likely the Deity Guardian.
The Deity Guardian’s status was noble, their deanour arrogant. He believed eting them in true form and with sincere attitude might yield a better result in negotiations.
