Chapter 1293: Chapter 1293 Water Grass Forest
"Xiao Hei, be careful," Qin Sisi whispered a reminder.
"Mm, relax," Ye You quickly responded as he surveyed the fish crowding around them with sharp eyes.
He tried to avoid the sea creatures, regardless of their size, striving not to provoke them.
However, misfortune doesn’t evade just because one attempts to avoid it.
Soon, they encountered larger fish, about the size of a normal person, their bodies a vibrant orange-red, with tightly packed scales gleaming in orange hues!
These fish noticed Qin Sisi and Ye You swimming over and adeptly surrounded them, trapping them in the center, preventing them from moving forward.
Ye You furrowed his brow, pulling Qin Sisi downward to escape the encircling fish and continue eastward.
Unexpectedly, the fish followed again, surrounding them once more.
Ye You quickly ascended with Qin Sisi, escaping the scope of these larger fish, swiftly moving their tails to increase their swimming speed.
However, these catfish weren’t authentic, and their swimming speed couldn’t match the real fish; soon, the orange-red fish encircled them once again.
Ye You dodged repeatedly, trying hard to break his usual hesitance; finally, irritated, he raised his paw and pushed away a fish blocking their path.
Although Ye You’s body had shrunk, his strength hadn’t diminished, and his Magic Source was inherently powerful. The push caused the fish to wobble and retreat a short distance.
While not injured, the fish felt insulted and threatened, angrily spun around, and fiercely swished its giant tail towards Ye You.
Ye You was prepared, swiftly conjuring a Copper Iron Wall magic shield to protect himself and Qin Sisi.
The fish’s tail hit the sturdy magic shield which remained intact, yet a very subtle "crack" was heard—the fish’s tail had fractured.
A tail is crucial to fish; a fracture equates to lost mobility, and the fish drifted helplessly to the sandy sea floor, lying there motionless.
Seeing their companion injured, the orange-red fish beca enraged, aggressively flailing their tails at Ye You.
Ye You perceived these fish had brute strength but lacked magical power; he wasn’t afraid but didn’t wish to incite further hostility, given they just entered No Delusion Deep Sea. Avoiding excessive slaughter was prudent, fearing later displeasure from the Guardian which would hinder acquiring Life Deep Water.
Thus, Ye You pulled Qin Sisi to flee quickly, swerving past the Water Grass Forest’s edge, shimring corals, and a mass of tentacle-waving sea anemones, continuing east.
The orange-red fish relentlessly pursued, rulers of the sea; with their companion injured, they couldn’t swallow the indignation.
Ye You and Qin Sisi sped fast, thrilled despite knowing the danger wasn’t over.
Turning a corner at the Water Grass Forest’s edge, a colossal creature swiftly swam over from the other side, colliding head-on with Qin Sisi and Ye You; moving too fast to dodge, they both crashed into it.
The colossal creature was also a large fish, an even bigger one; hitting its hard scales, Qin Sisi and Ye You were ricocheted away, Ye You swiftly stabilizing himself using magical power, his complexion changed abruptly upon turning his head.
Qin Sisi, bounced away, couldn’t stabilize herself and was propelled into the nearby Water Grass Forest.
The extrely dense grass engulfed Qin Sisi instantly, vanishing from sight.
Panicked, Ye You neglected the fish they collided with, speeding into the Water Grass Forest.
"Sisi!" he urgently shouted, t only by the swaying grass.
Helpless, Ye You called her na while pushing aside the long, dense grass to search.
However, the forest exceeded his expectations in density—like a vast Maze. Despite searching intensely, he still found nothing, his heart sinking.
If Qin Sisi had been significantly hurt, rendering her unconscious in the forest, searching seed futile—a human among such a vast forest felt akin to finding a needle in an ocean.
As Ye You anxiously searched for Qin Sisi, she was doing the sa, seeking him with equal urgency.
Sent into the forest, its density made her lose direction. Hearing Ye You’s initial call, she responded softly—unfortunately, her weak constitution muffled her voice further as the grass filtered it, diminishing it until Ye You failed to notice.
Qin Sisi looked up at grass towering tens of ters, feeling anxious and uneasy, she gritted her teeth, vigorously moving upward to escape from the forest quickly.
Ye You searched briefly but found no trace of Qin Sisi, already sowhat panicked, he boldly used Gold Attribute Magic Power to conjure a shadow of a dark blade, fiercely cutting the grass.
No matter how tall and dense, grass cut off at the stem will fall, unable to form structures resembling a Maze.
Qin Sisi ascended to the top of the forest, peering down into it, seeking Ye You’s presence unsuccessfully. Just as she was contemplating alternatives, her peripheral vision caught sight of so grass collapsing.
Curious, she swam closer to inspect, finding many slender stalks piled up ssily on the ground.
"Xiao Hei!" Knowing Ye You must have caused this, Qin Sisi quickly called him, soon receiving a reply from below.
Both were overjoyed; Ye You imdiately swam upwards, Qin Sisi moved downwards.
Seeing each other’s figures, a fallen, limp strand of grass suddenly shot up like a sturdy rope, rapidly ensnaring Ye You’s ankle.
Ye You froze, promptly turned and sliced with the dark blade’s shadow, severing the grass which released his ankle, enabling him to swiftly continue upward.
Yet, the grass hadn’t surrendered; those previously cut imdiately straightened from the ground, ropes fiercely advancing towards Ye You.
