Chapter 1283: Chapter 1283: Welco Back to the Royal Palace

The doors of the ilan Family’s Chief Mansion swung open swiftly, and Wen Xuan, clad in brand-new attire, bead broadly as he ushered Ye You inside the Chief Mansion, leading the way towards the main hall.

Inside the hall, sitting on the main seat facing the entrance, was Clan Leader Chi Xun, dressed in a dark red robe, the bright color of his outfit accentuating his snow-white beard.

Yi Rou and Chen Song sat to the right and left of Chi Xun, occasionally exchanging glances, smiles playing at their eyes and brows.

These three were subordinates of the Sage Ruler, but today, at the wedding, they also stood as elders of the Holy Queen and Sage Ruler.

The Phoenix Spirit Palanquin stopped in the small courtyard after entering the Chief Mansion, and Ye You leapt down from the leading phoenix, striding quickly toward the main hall.

Seeing Ye You enter, Chi Xun and the others imdiately stood up, greeting Ye You in turn.

After the greetings, they returned to their seats, sitting up straight with heads held high, while Ye You bent down, bowing to each of them in turn.

After the formalities, Chi Xun, Yi Rou, and Chen Song each presented Ye You with a small gift, symbolizing their advice and approval, now allowing him to retrieve his bride.

Ye You’s smile grew even brighter as he carefully put away the gifts from Qin Sisi’s elders, following an older woman with smiling eyes towards Qin Sisi’s room.

All along the way, he felt the lady walked too slowly, wishing he could fly straight to Qin Sisi’s side.

After what seed like a long journey, they finally reached Qin Sisi’s room. The guiding woman stepped forward, knocking gently on the door, announcing loudly, "The propitious ti has co; please, young lady, co forth."

Inside, the jubilant Xiao Pei and Xiao Qian opened the door. The two young maids bead radiantly, gesturing for Ye You to enter.

Qin Sisi was already dressed in the bright red wedding attire, standing quietly by the bed waiting for Ye You. As she watched him approach, her face involuntarily blood with a bright yet shy smile.

Although the wedding attire here was also bright red and extrely intricate, there wasn’t the custom of wearing a veil, allowing the bride’s intricately carved face to be presented without concealnt before Ye You.

Her skin was snow-white, pure as jade, lips like vermillion enticingly inviting, while her watery eyes seed to ripple with autumn waves, making Ye You’s heart float.

Bashful and tender, a smile of lingering affection, hesitance mixed with welco.

Ye You stepped nearer with each stride, the surrounding noise dwindling to a distant murmur as his eyes and heart solely focused on her exquisite and charming visage.

Finally standing before Qin Sisi, they locked eyes, their smiles growing warr and sweeter.

If not for the crowd surrounding them, Ye You would have dearly wished to embrace Qin Sisi fiercely and kiss her thoroughly.

Suppressing the wild urge in his heart, he stepped forward and lifted Qin Sisi in his arms, feeling the lovely woman snuggle like a flower in his embrace. With light steps, he walked to the Phoenix Spirit Palanquin and gently placed Qin Sisi inside.

Ye You then returned to the leading phoenix. The Phoenix Spirit Palanquin rose once more into the sky, carrying the Sage Ruler and his bride back towards Feng Ge Wang City.

He glanced back at Qin Sisi, whose gaze t his exactly, making both of their hearts skip simultaneously, filling them with anticipation for the days of lifelong companionship ahead.

Turning back, Ye You’s smile shone even more brilliantly than the sunlight scattered around.

Qin Sisi’s smile faltered montarily as she raised a hand to steady herself against the edge of the Phoenix Spirit Palanquin, a familiar dizziness overwheld her again, blurring her vision, though thankfully it didn’t last long.

This made her sowhat uneasy, as this condition had persisted for half a month. Initially, she paid no heed, assuming it was rely due to exhaustion.

However, the frequency of the dizzy spells increased, from once or twice a day to over ten tis, with durations extending from a second or two to several minutes.

She comforted herself, believing it was just fatigue from recent events, and assured herself that with proper rest and care after the wedding, she would quickly recover.

She raised her head to look at Ye You’s back ahead. He sat upright on the phoenix’s back, straight and tall, both handso and dignified, with a smile that remained throughout the day—he looked splendid.

After all they’d been through to reach this day, she hoped the future would be nothing but smooth and fortunate.

Amid jubilant cheers, the Phoenix Spirit Palanquin, carrying so many expectations, descended slowly upon the square in front of the Royal Palace in Feng Ge Wang City. Ye You leapt down from the phoenix, approached the palanquin, took Qin Sisi’s hand, and together they walked hand-in-hand towards the gates of the Royal Palace under the watchful eyes of the crowd.

Hiding within the crowd, ng Yu glared venomously at the silhouettes of Ye You and Qin Sisi. "The ti is near; let the poison manifest. I want you humiliated here before everyone," she murmured with a malicious laugh.

"ng Yu, sister!" A clear, childish voice unexpectedly rang in her ear, startling ng Yu, who turned to see a little girl smiling sweetly at her.

ng Yu froze montarily, the girl seed sowhat familiar, but before she could recollect, a commotion erupted from the front.

ng Yu quickly turned her head to see Ye You collapsing to the ground, clutching his chest in agony and struggling for breath.

Qin Sisi knelt beside him, cradling his body with tears streaming down her face.

Success!

ng Yu’s face lit up with joy, and she let out a triumphant, manic laugh, leaping forward to land before Ye You and Qin Sisi, exclaiming with both delight and anger, "Ye You, Qin Sisi, your day has co!"

"How... how did you poison ? Why didn’t the Jade lting Pill work?" Ye You asked in panic, his expression one of shock.

ng Yu lifted her chin in arrogance, replying, "The poison I used is based on the Five-step Flower. Its toxicity disperses slowly, taking five hours to take effect, and the Jade lting Pill also requires five hours for detoxification. As for how the poison was administered, you’ll have to ask your dear Aunt i."

With a pale face, Dong i approached, casting a dissatisfied glance at ng Yu. They had agreed not to let Ye You know it was she who poisoned him.

Of course, ng Yu sensed her accusatory stare but dismissed it, saying, "You think if I didn’t tell him, he wouldn’t find out? He’s much smarter than you give him credit for."

"Aunt i? You poisoned ? Why?" Ye You gazed in disbelief at Dong i.

Dong i avoided Ye You’s stare, bowing her head as she spoke, "Sage Ruler, don’t be alard. ng Yu said she really likes you and won’t harm you; she only intends to kill Qin Sisi."

Upon hearing this, Qin Sisi imdiately stood up, her hand clutching the resplendent Sparrow Spirit Scepter, and declared sharply, "Very well, let’s do this! If I could defeat you once, I can do it again."

ng Yu sneered coldly as powerful magic energy gathered before her, a deep, vibrant purple.

"I’m now a High-level Magic Emperor, while you are rely interdiate; you won’t win against ." ng Yu boasted arrogantly, her purple-glowing palms forcefully thrusting forward, sending a dense barrage of Ice Arrow Rain hurtling towards Qin Sisi.
