Chapter 1101: Chapter 1101: No Bones Left

After i Ji left, several guards began cleaning the white jade bathroom with pristine mountain spring water. After nurous washes, the bloodstains had completely disappeared.

The floor, the ceiling, the walls, the bathtub—all restored to their snow-white appearance, making it impossible to see even a trace of blood. It was as if this place had always been so immaculate, as if the grueso slaughter earlier was nothing but a hallucination.

Qin Sisi’s body trembled slightly and instinctively tightened her grip on Li Li’s hand. She had anticipated that the missing girls were likely no longer alive, but she never could have imagined they would be destroyed in such a perverse manner.

She stayed silent for a long while, only speaking in a hushed tone after everyone outside had dispersed: "Where were the corpses of those girls taken?"

Li Li paused for a mont before replying, "I’ll take you to see them, but we need to hurry, or we might be too late."

The two left the white jade bathroom. Qin Sisi, in her current state, could not conjure magic wings or dare to use the Wings of Rainbow. Li Li released her magical power and condensed wings behind herself, lifting Qin Sisi into the air.

Li Li’s intrinsic attribute was wind. As she flapped her magic wings, she accelerated her speed using wind attribute magic power. She flew very quickly, as the corpses had been taken away quite so ti ago, and it was uncertain if Qin Sisi could still witness their final fate.

After about ten minutes, Qin Sisi saw a towering giant boulder with three bloody red characters engraved on it: Soul-breaking Cliff.

From the depths of the cliff ca sharp, piercing cries, echoing against the heavens and clouds, stirring the soul.

Li Li descended near Soul-breaking Cliff with Qin Sisi. She saw several guards throwing heads and bodies of those girls off the cliff.

Her expression changed as she quickly walked forward. At that mont, only one headless corpse remained on the ground. Two guards lifted the corpse together and hurled it forcefully over the edge of the cliff.

Qin Sisi’s gaze followed the falling corpse. Suddenly, a Blood-colored Giant Eagle darted out from nowhere, snatching the corpse in its beak.

Just as it was about to find a quiet spot to savor its prize, several more Blood-colored Giant Eagles swooped in. The vicious flock began to fight over the food.

In no ti at all, the corpse was devoured completely—bones and all.

The guards, having completed their task, left Soul-breaking Cliff without a care.

Qin Sisi was repeatedly shocked by what she had seen. Now, with no one around, her body weakened, and she sank to the ground. The wind howled around the cliff, creating a ghostly "woo-woo" sound in her ears.

Li Li slowly walked over to her and softly asked, "Are you alright?"

Qin Sisi shook her head gently, as though questioning Li Li or simply talking to herself: "How can soone like her be Clan Leader? It’s too horrifying."

Li Li replied, "Her magic power is indeed formidable. The position of Clan Leader belongs to the strong."

Qin Sisi asked, filled with doubt, "But such a Clan Leader would only be a nightmare for the residents of Midair City. The disappearance of girls began more than a decade ago. After all these years, has no one discovered her demonic deeds? The rumors have always blad Jiu Ge, yet no one has ever suspected i Ji."

Li Li shook her head and replied, "You already know she’s a demon. Everyone within the Changkong family and Chief Mansion fears her. No one dares leak any of this. And most of the n? They’ve fallen under her spell. As for the prince, no matter how demonic i Ji is, she remains his mother."

Even if the entire world misunderstands him, what can he do? Carrying the sins of his mother is a burden he cannot escape.

Qin Sisi believed Li Li’s words. i Ji, though breathtakingly beautiful, was cruel, vicious, and heartless. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have committed acts so inhuman they defied comparison.

Yet her stunning beauty was also a weapon of imnse power. The gaze of every man who looked at her carried a fervor almost reverent, brimming with primal lust.

With newfound understanding, Qin Sisi felt a profound sympathy for Jiu Ge. How had he endured these years with such a mother?

Suddenly, Qin Sisi thought of sothing and continued to question Li Li: "It’s not just girls disappearing—many young n have gone missing as well. What’s the story behind that?"

Li Li sneered and said, "Would you like to see?"

Qin Sisi didn’t quite grasp Li Li’s tone and paused for a mont before saying, "Since I’m here, I should figure everything out. If it’s too dangerous, though, I won’t risk getting you involved."

"No, it’s not dangerous; there will be many people coming to watch." Li Li replied disdainfully.

Qin Sisi was puzzled, not understanding what Li Li ant by "watch."

Li Li continued, "But we’ll have to wait until evening. Let’s go back for now, and I’ll find you when the ti cos."

Qin Sisi stood up and said worriedly, "But I don’t have any Invisible Grass left."

Li Li thought for a mont and replied, "Don’t worry; I’ll arrange sothing."

Qin Sisi followed Li Li back to the courtyard where Jiu Ge resided. Li Li escorted Qin Sisi to the door of her room and said, "You should rest for a while. I’ll co over tonight."

Just as Li Li was about to leave, Qin Sisi grabbed her arm and softly asked, "Li Li, do you have any Jade lting Pills? Could I have one?"

Li Li gave Qin Sisi a cold glance and replied, "I have Jade lting Pills, but without the prince’s orders, I cannot give them to you."

Qin Sisi’s first instinct was to continue pleading with Li Li, hoping their three years of friendship would move her to relent. But she opened her mouth and then closed it again.

Back at the Heavenly Magic God’s Castle, Qin Sisi knew of Li Li’s unwavering loyalty to Jiu Ge. To Li Li, Jiu Ge was akin to a god—she would never betray him. Pleading would be futile.

After Li Li left, Qin Sisi intended to rest, but as soon as she closed her eyes, visions of that white jade bathtub filled to the brim with blood resurfaced.

That night, Elderly Fourth had intended to sacrifice her. If Jiu Ge hadn’t arrived in ti, she might have suffered the sa fate as those girls—beheaded, drained of blood, then thrown off Soul-breaking Cliff to beco food for the Blood Eagles, utterly disappearing from the world.

Even Ye You, noble as he was as a prince, would never have found her again.

Fear gripped Qin Sisi’s heart as she reflected on the danger she had narrowly escaped. She felt imnse gratitude toward Jiu Ge and realized that, in her urgency to uncover the truth behind the girls’ disappearance, she hadn’t even thanked him.

When she t him next, she resolved to express her gratitude. Witnessing those girls’ fate had shown her just how close she had been to peril and how fortunate she truly was.

She had no appetite for food. The nausea and revulsion from seeing so much blood churned in her gut, leaving her sickened by everything around her.
