Chapter 1043: Chapter 1043: Battle of Water and Fire

Qin Sisi openly admitted her fear, which left Qing Pu with nothing to say. Since that was the case, they had to fight it out head-on.

Qing Pu had confidence in himself; he was a rank higher than Qin Sisi and naturally stronger. He believed that Qin Sisi’s previous first places were greatly attributed to luck, after all, those were set up by the teachers.

However, Qing Pu did not underestimate her. Qin Sisi had claid the top spot in the previous five final assessnts, not solely by chance, and her diligence had not gone unnoticed. Even though she was a rank lower, he had to be more careful.

A cold gleam flashed in Qing Pu’s eyes, as he suddenly wielded the exceedingly sharp Qingyun Sword in his hand. This four-star weapon was from his father, the Clan Leader of the Zhulu family. Though his weapon was not as good as Qin Sisi’s, the family would still provide him with the best resources and conditions they could.

Qin Sisi also took out her Moon Spirit Golden Feather. The rare chance to fight a real battle against Qing Pu, who was a rank higher, without the risk of actual death or injury was too valuable to pass up. She had to cherish it.

Regardless of the final outco, it would be an opportunity to accumulate precious experience.

The Qingyun Sword and the Moon Spirit Golden Feather were drawn almost simultaneously, as cyan-colored Water Attribute Magic Power and golden Fire Attribute Magic Power ford two huge orbs of Magic Light that collided mid-air, creating a deafening roar.

Water and fire clashed, inherently incompatible; one was bound to get hurt.

Both competitors exerted their full strength, water and fire battling like dragons and tigers, competing like the sun and moon. However, water can extinguish fire, and fire can be weakened by water, so for a while, it was a stalemate, victory uncertain.

Qing Pu was secretly shocked. He knew Qin Sisi would not be easy to handle, but she was stronger than he had anticipated.

A few rounds later, Qing Pu and Qin Sisi both unleashed their most powerful Magic skills. The Water God Roar and the Phoenix Fire faced off directly; the cyan Water God Vajra glared furiously, and the golden Phoenix was regal and divine. Both contenders harnessed all their Magic Energy, not daring to slacken in the slightest.

The battle entered an intense phase, with only a dozen ters between them. The Magic Energy from Deep Water Roar and Phoenix Fire collided fiercely. At this point, they had no other choice but to see the fight through to the end. If one were to suddenly retract their power, the other’s Magic skill would engulf them in a deluge of force. The impact would likely cause fatal injuries, eliminating any chance of a coback.

As the final monts approached, Qin Sisi and Qing Pu’s bodies began to tremble slightly, sweat pouring off them. Their Magic Power was nearly drained, and neither had a chance to use a Spirit Pill; even a mont’s distraction could lead to irreversible doom.

Just as the two of them were locked in a standoff, unable to determine the victor, a figure appeared atop a nearby tree, quickly grasping the situation.

A long Rose Vine fell into her hand as she raised her wrist, and she swung down from the tree like swinging on a vine.

Engrossed in battle, neither Qin Sisi nor Qing Pu noticed the figure’s approach. Both their physical and Magic Energy were pushed to the limits as victory hung in the balance.

But in the next mont, Qing Pu suddenly felt sothing long wrap around his neck. Before he could react, a stabbing pain hit his throat, draining nearly all his strength in an instant. He could even feel his blood gushing out, feeling the presence of death just a whisper away.

In the end, he fell slowly without even seeing who had eliminated him.

The power of the Water Attribute Magic suddenly vanished, and the opposing Fire Attribute Magic, no longer hindered, surged violently forward, blasting Qing Pu’s corpse dozens of ters away.

Qin Sisi could barely stand firm. She struggled to support her body and looked up to see Xiao ng in a light blue dress smiling brightly at her. The Rose Vine that had been wrapped around Qing Pu’s neck was vibrant red and being swung back and forth in Xiao ng’s hand.

A deep and clear voice sounded again: "Qing Pu has been eliminated, and Xiao ng’s score has increased by one hundred points."

"Yay!" Xiao ng made a victory gesture, her face bursting with joy. This was indeed an unexpected delight for her; she had thought she might not have the strength to eliminate anyone.

Qin Sisi also smiled at her. After so much effort, she ultimately failed to get those one hundred points from Qing Pu, which was sowhat regrettable. But if Xiao ng hadn’t taken action, she might have been the one to fall first. Then, she wouldn’t just lose out on points, she would lose the qualification to continue altogether.

It’s all a matter of fate; perhaps this was Xiao ng’s opportunity!

"Sister Sisi!" Xiao ng quickly walked over to Qin Sisi’s side, helping her to sit down on the grass. Qin Sisi imdiately took out a Bodhi Pill and a Spirit Revitalizing Pill from her storage ring to recover her physical condition. However, her gaze towards Xiao ng was still sowhat hesitant. Maybe the shadow left in her heart was due to An Yun’s ruse of disguising himself as Xiao ng and ambushing her.

"Sister Sisi, is there sothing wrong?" Xiao ng noticed sothing unusual about Qin Sisi and asked in puzzlent.

Qin Sisi hesitated for a mont before telling Xiao ng about how An Yun used Illusion Technique Magic to disguise himself as her and ambush her.

Upon hearing this, Xiao ng stomped her feet in anger and said furiously, "That’s outrageous! How could he do such a thing? It’s clearly a sche to sow discord, so sinister!"

When she heard the phrase "sowing discord," Qin Sisi’s mind stirred, and she suddenly thought of so things she had not considered before.

She had only assud that An Yun had disguised himself as Xiao ng because she and Xiao ng were close, which made it easier to get close to her. But if she thought deeper, if she really did harbor shadows in her heart, she would inevitably distance herself from Xiao ng, whether intentionally or not.

Just like love, friendship cannot withstand guesswork and doubt. Xiao ng, despite her straightforward and careless deanor, is also a girl with delicate emotions. Once she feels the distance from Qin Sisi, their relationship will certainly no longer be as close as before.

Over ti, Qin Sisi would lose a friend as close as a sister. Being alone in the Demon Sacred Realm already, if she no longer had friends, she would be even more isolated.

Thinking further ahead, Xiao ng’s attitude might even affect the Muyin family’s stance. Qin Sisi’s aspiration to beco Ye You’s queen in the Saint Realm would face another layer of difficulty. And with others possibly fanning the flas, Ye You could even lose the support of the Muyin family.

With these thoughts, Qin Sisi broke out in a cold sweat.

Seeing Qin Sisi silent, Xiao ng thought she was mistrustful of her. She imdiately stood up and said loudly, "Sister Sisi, I’ve said that I won’t lay a hand on you, and I an it. If we must have a battle within this Illusion picture scroll today, I will never launch a sneak attack. I will clearly tell you, and then wait for you to get ready before we fairly fight."
