Chapter 1013: Chapter 1013: Tranquilizing Song

Misfortune is where fortune depends, and fortune is where misfortune lies.

Qin Sisi and Ye You instinctively embraced each other the mont they began to fall. They could see three black-clothed n on the ground drawing their slender and lethal short swords, ready to strike the mont they hit the ground.

However, man’s plans are no match for those of heaven. Midway through their fall from the branches, they crashed into the thickest part of the trunk. The seemingly lush and leafy trunk was smashed open, and Qin Sisi and Ye You fell through the gaping hole.

The most formidable assassin in the air and the three black-clothed n waiting on the ground were all stunned by this sudden turn of events. Had their easy prey slipped through their fingers just like that?

The strongest of the assassins landed next to the large hole in the trunk and peered down into the darkness, seeing nothing. The situation below was completely unclear, and what to do next left him hesitating.

Qin Sisi and Ye You clung tightly to each other, plumting down the hollow within the trunk. The weightlessness in the darkness was terrifying and despairing, giving Qin Sisi a sense of an impending apocalypse.

She held onto Ye You with unease, thankful that she was not alone, lucky that Ye You was by her side.

The space inside the hollow was too cramped for the Wings of Rainbow to be summoned, and Ye You’s magic bubbles also couldn’t form. Ye You could only remind Qin Sisi to protect her body with Magic power to avoid injury when they landed.

It felt like a very long ti, but it was only a matter of seconds before they finally hit the ground. Thanks to the Magic power shielding them, they were not wounded in the fall.

But Ye You’s situation was far from optimistic; he could no longer stand steadily, deep wounds on his back oozing much blood.

Qin Sisi supported Ye You and surveyed their surroundings; they were in a vast and empty underground hall. Not far away were two rows of towering stone pillars, forming a path leading to the distance between them.

She couldn’t make out the scene in the distance; the light here was very dim. Aside from the faint glow from the Pearl Bracelet on her wrist, only those several stone pillars emitted a bit of luminescence, barely enough to make out their imdiate surroundings.

The place was very quiet, seemingly free of danger.

Feeling slightly relieved, Qin Sisi settled Ye You down and took out a Level Five Bodhi Pill from the storage ring, bringing it to his lips and softly speaking, "Eat this."

Ye You looked down subconsciously. His dull eyes suddenly sparkled with a glint of light, turning to Qin Sisi with excitent and asked, "Where did you get it?"

A Level Five Bodhi Pill, of perfect quality, an imnsely valuable treasure—Sisi shouldn’t have been able to afford it.

Qin Sisi urged, "First eat it, I’ll tell you about it slowly."

Ye You hesitated for a mont. Qin Sisi was also injured, and severely so; he contemplated whether he should share it with Qin Sisi. He soon abandoned that thought, however.

He was the main force; Qin Sisi’s Magic power was still relatively weak and needed his protection. A full recovery was essential to ensure their safety.

As for the injuries on Qin Sisi’s body, he could use Healing Magic to help her heal after he was completely recovered.

The effect of half a pill would certainly be diminished; in the end, it’s very likely that neither of them would recover well, resulting in a loss.

Understanding the situation at hand, Ye You wasted no further ti and ate the Bodhi Pill with the help of Qin Sisi’s hand.

Soon, an extrely pure and abundant Spiritual Energy rose from within, beginning to nd his injured body along his ridians, and his Magic power was replenished.

Ye You simply lay down, stretched out his body, and let the spiritual energy brought by the Bodhi Pill roam freely within.

He held Qin Sisi’s hand and said, "Can you tell

now?"

Qin Sisi sat beside him, explained that it was a gift from Teacher Mo Liu, and briefly recounted the reasons behind it.

Ye You, both surprised and amused, teased, "Teacher Mo Liu was willing to give you such a precious pill; seems like he was indeed overjoyed to the point of losing his mind."

Qin Sisi lightly slapped his arm and said indignantly, "What kind of way is that to talk?"

Ye You chuckled and sincerely added, "Honey, your Music Magic is really amazing, I was almost hypnotized by you."

Feeling flattered by Ye You’s praise, Qin Sisi blushed and smiled shyly, then suddenly thought of sothing and suggested, "You should also calm your mind and rest well now, so that the Bodhi Pill can achieve its best effect."

"Now? How could I possibly sleep at this mont?" Ye You replied with a bitter smile.

Given the relentless enemy and the chance of their appearance at any mont, combined with the bizarre surroundings and unknown dangers lurking in the shadows, there was no way he could fall asleep, no matter how exhausted or sleepy he was.

Qin Sisi continued to persuade, "We don’t know if they will follow us inside, and even if they really do co in, it’s okay for you to wake up again. The better your condition is, the more chance we have to win."

With that, she took out the Half Moon zither, gently closed Ye You’s eyes with her palm, and softly instructed, "Listen and rest for a bit."

Qin Sisi’s words, gentle as water, made it impossible for Ye You to resist, and he obediently closed his eyes following her motions.

Qin Sisi’s fingers brushed the strings of the Half Moon zither, beginning to play the tranquilizing song.

The tranquilizing song aid to soothe the mind, not to hypnotize; those listening to the music would feel their spirits grow increasingly calm and their bodies more relaxed, and the heavy burden of stress would be alleviated and comforted by the sound of the music.

Ye You had already deliberately relaxed his body, and now with the gentle and soothing birth of sound around his ears, he felt even more relaxed and content in body and mind.

His hand reached out involuntarily toward Qin Sisi, intending to hold her hand, but belatedly realizing that Qin Sisi was playing the zither, and both her hands were busy, he aimlessly groped around her vicinity, eventually taking hold of her ankle instead.

Feeling the warmth from Ye You’s palm, Qin Sisi moved her foot slightly, and in response, Ye You gripped it even tighter, leaving Qin Sisi to let him be.

The tranquilizing song brought Ye You’s body and mood into a relaxed and carefree state, and the Bodhi Pill indeed showed even greater effect.

In less than fifteen minutes, the wounds on Ye You’s body had fully healed, not even leaving a trace of a scar. The lost blood was quickly replenished, his physical strength restored to its peak, and his magic power surged within the Magic Source.

The pallor of his face from excessive blood loss gradually returned to normal, with a few flushes of color on his cheeks, indicating his surging physical strength and good health.

Seeing Ye You’s improvent, Qin Sisi’s face also revealed a relieved smile.

Suddenly, a series of dull thuds from falls resonated one after another. Qin Sisi’s expression froze, and Ye You imdiately opened his eyes and sat up, looking with Qin Sisi toward those annoying, dogged pursuers.
