Chapter 230: If the Spring Breeze Could Pity , Would It Let Be Young Again?

“It’s shattered intent, forcibly gathered,” thought Dongn Xiangzhong.

It seed this old man had once been a formidable swordsman but had encountered an even stronger opponent, causing his sword intent to be crushed.

“Though it’s a tenfold sword intent, in reality, it barely compares to ninefold,” he thought, his face calm as he raised his right hand.

The six Thundercloud Sky Beasts returned, no longer encircling Yun Bujue. These beasts alone wouldn’t be enough to defeat him.

“Since that’s the case, I’ll grant you the finale you deserve.”

From Yun Bujue’s gaze, Dongn Xiangzhong seed to understand sothing.

He ford seals with his hands, and the air resonated with them.

A fearso growl suddenly erged from his spirit beast pouch. Thunderclouds rolled across the sky.

With a loud crash, a massive figure leaped forth, circling overhead — a dragon-like creature!

It had a single horn on its head, scales covering its body, and thunderous energy swirling around it.

In the cultivation world, dragons were legendary beings unseen for millennia, and so the Jiao had beco the ideal replacent in the hearts of many.

Jiao were, in fact, powerful creatures, carrying a trace of dragon blood.

The Thunder Jiao roared, its four eyes blazing with violence, as if bent on destroying everything.

“A Jiao, huh?” Yun Bujue’s eyes showed a hint of nostalgia.

He rembered that his past opponent also had a Jiao, and back then, he’d won.

“What a sha,” Yun Bujue thought.

If there was no Thunder Jiao, and if he hadn’t been crippled, his odds of victory would be much greater. But now...

“In this world, I once found flowers blooming, but when I arrived, spring had passed,” he murmured. “If the spring breeze could pity , could it let be young again?”

His eyes hardened. White hair flying, his sharp aura grew more intense.

The sword in his hand, Yinge, trembled, shedding fragnts.

This would be his all, his final strike.

“With the spring breeze… cos the Lion’s Roar!” Yun Bujue seed ablaze, his sword slashing out with all his might.

“Well done!” shouted Dongn Xiangzhong.

The Thunder Jiao roared in response, surging forward with its thunderous might.

Lightning filled the air, clashing with the sword light.

In an instant, the entire world shook, waves of energy sweeping outward.

The monstrous prodigies across the island had retreated early on, looking on with astonishnt. They hadn’t expected Dongn Xiangzhong to have a Thunder Jiao!

How strong was this Jiao, and how rare?

Not just anyone could ta such a beast!

But even more shocking was the old man’s tenfold sword intent and powerful swordsmanship. What was his background?

Booming thunder and sword energy clashed in a seeming deadlock.

Neither side yielded, but soon the lightning intensified, pressing down on the sword light.

“He’s lost,” so of the prodigies sighed, shaking their heads.

The old man was just too old, far from his peak, and his sword intent had issues.

Otherwise, it would’ve been hard to say who’d win.

Dongn Xiangzhong’s face relaxed.

Then, a calm voice rang out. “Sword Twenty Four!”

The previously suppressed sword light surged with unstoppable force, reversing the tide and tearing through the lightning!

The Thunder Jiao couldn’t dodge in ti and was severely wounded, knocked back with shattered scales and flowing blood.

“What’s going on?” Dongn Xiangzhong’s expression changed. “Wait, that sword… isn’t his!” Almost instantly, the thunderclouds dispersed, revealing a tall figure in white with a towering sword intent behind him.

His overwhelming aura shook the heavens.

“It’s you!” Dongn Xiangzhong imdiately recognized him.

It was the Southern Region’s current pinnacle prodigy!

Barely in his twenties, this young man had mastered dual intents, one of which he had elevated to perfect tenfold!

His potential and strength were terrifying, marked as highly dangerous.

“Senior Brother Yun,” ng Changqing hurried to support Yun Bujue, quickly feeding him expensive pills.

He sighed in relief.

Thankfully, he’d arrived in ti.

A few seconds later, Yun Bujue might have fallen.

That last sword had clearly exhausted everything he had.

If a young cultivator had executed such a strike, it might only cause overexertion, sothing recoverable with rest.

But Yun Bujue, in his twilight years, was like a candle in the wind — unable to bear such strain. Any longer, and his life would’ve been forfeit.

“Junior Brother,” Yun Bujue’s legs gave out, his expression relaxing.

He took out a jade box from his storage ring.

“Inside is a second-level divine flower, though I’m sure it doesn’t interest you.” He handed it over. “Rember to take it back to the sect. I may not make it back.”

As he finished, his aura grew weaker, a dense deathly energy covering his body. However, his face showed no sadness, only contentnt.

This kind of end suited him, letting him soon et his old brothers and sisters, especially one in particular.

“Senior Brother Yun, let’s discuss this later. For now, focus on your healing, and don’t forget what our second senior brother said. Even in death, you’re to return to the sect,” ng Changqing reminded him firmly, knowing Yun Bujue’s thoughts.

“Second senior brother, huh…” A strange expression appeared on Yun Bujue’s face as he sighed softly and nodded, sitting cross-legged to cling to life a bit longer.

“The Southern Region’s Prodigy, ng Changqing,” Dongn Xiangzhong approached slowly, his eyes brimming with fighting spirit.

Behind him, the severely injured Thunder Jiao stood again, its injuries healing rapidly through so secret technique.

“Don’t kill him. He… is a descendant of an old friend,” Yun Bujue transmitted his thoughts to ng Changqing, his voice faint.

“Understood,” ng Changqing nodded.

In truth, Yun Bujue’s choice was clear — to die in battle as a warrior, in his last days.

The Thunder Jiao, perched beside Dongn Xiangzhong, growled at ng Changqing with a nacing glare, showing its hatred.

Until now, it had never sustained such serious injuries, all from a single sword!
