Wow~ Her God Thorne actually has such a side. Although Phoebe Quinn knows Natalie’s charm and understands no one can resist Natalie’s playful persuasion, she’s still a bit surprised.

Natalie smiled but remained silent, Phoebe knew what she was thinking, and her eyes widened.
"Are you talking about Aaron Channing? Nina, what are you thinking? We’re just good friends."
But Natalie humd lightly.
"Do you really think that way?"
"Isn’t it true? We’ve been hanging out since high school."
"Are you sure that’s how Aaron views it? He’s never referred to you as a sister or a guy bestie."
Phoebe Quinn contemplated Natalie’s words, it seed true, Aaron had never said that.
"But..."
"But what? Yana, why are you so slow on your own affairs? Poor Aaron has liked soone for so long only to be thought of as a sister."
Phoebe Quinn blushed.
"Aaron... really likes ?"

"You said Aaron went to Altara?"
"Yes, he went early in the morning. Never ntioned he was going before, seems pretty urgent."

Given Aaron’s current status in psychology, a patient that warrants his trip to Altara must either be soone highly influential or connected.
For so reason, Natalie suddenly had the thought that Aaron went to Altara for Gideon Sheffield. The mont she thought of this, she felt a shock.
But the more she thought about it, the more plausible it seed.
Aaron and Zane Thorne had been close, but their relationship had never reached that extent?

"Do you rember going to the club? He and Zane chatted for a while, I asked what they talked about but he wouldn’t tell ."
Phoebe blinked, she couldn’t rember, didn’t know about it at all, she was focused on chatting with the club guys back then.
"Should we...call him and ask?"
Phoebe raised her phone.
"By now he should have landed."
Natalie nodded imdiately, so Phoebe dialed the number.
Phoebe’s calls, Aaron has always answered quickly, this ti was no different.
"Yana? Why are you suddenly calling ?"
After a long flight, Aaron’s voice was quite tired.
Phoebe directly gave her phone to Natalie.
Natalie spoke up and Aaron paused on the other end.
"Yana’s already in Veridia, Nina, sorry, I can’t make it to your birthday celebration."
"If you’re actually sorry, then tell why you went to Altara?"

He knew when Natalie called, it couldn’t be anything good.
"Nina."
Aaron called out helplessly.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, with the relationship they had, if it was an ordinary patient, Aaron would have readily told her, or at least use the reason of protecting patient privacy.

Aaron sighed suddenly. Natalie was too smart; he’d never ntioned that Zane had approached him to her, Natalie only drew connections based on a single chat between him and Zane.

He didn’t plan to deny it, he knew Natalie had asked Phoebe about Gideon Sheffield and had been investigating why Zane retired that year.
Natalie thinking this far, while surprising, made sense.
"Yes, it’s just as you thought. But..."
Natalie interrupted Aaron.
"I won’t tell Zane, you go ahead and do your work. You... take care, really take care."
Aaron froze for a mont, suddenly understanding why Zane would be so captivated by Natalie.
Natalie always managed her relationships skillfully, she would never put friends in a difficult spot, being around smart people like her is quite comforting.
"Nina, I’ll take care, also, thank you."
Zane had asked him to keep it confidential.
Yet Natalie was astoundingly smart, while he, first and foremost Natalie’s friend, was indeed helping Zane out.
