Felix Langdon stood there with a stern face, and both Director Gable and the producer couldn’t ignore him, thinking so part of the process had gone wrong, angering the big boss.

"President Langdon, is there sothing you’re unhappy with?"

Felix fully exercised his authority as the big boss, folding his arms and frowning, looking very displeased at the two people embracing.

"Does your crew always take this long to film a scene? No wonder it’s burning money."

Director Gable: ...

Lingering? Isn’t this the basic process of filming? Only by rehearsing well can shooting go smoothly. Not rehearsing is what really burns money!

"You’re right; we will start filming imdiately."

Whatever the big boss says goes.

Usually, given Director Gable’s temperant, he would never allow financial backers to interfere with filming. But the amount of money Felix provided was simply too much, and with an actor and an actress of such caliber, a bit of rehearsal wouldn’t delay the formal shooting.

So, under Felix’s dark gaze, Director Gable gave the order to start filming.

Not two minutes in, Felix’s face grew even darker.

This scene with Julian Sutton and Quinn Langley was progressing exceptionally well—eting, approaching, embracing, kissing.

The mont Julian reached out to cup Quinn’s face and leaned in, Felix coldly kicked over the table holding the hot drinks.

"..."

Natalie Vaughn, having witnessed the whole scene, found Felix’s behavior sowhat amusing.

The filming was interrupted, and everyone turned to look at the culprit. Felix, however, remained composed and calmly said,

"Got itchy hands, my apologies. Continue filming."

He then called over an assistant to clean up the ss and instructed them to buy more hot drinks.

Itchy hands? Why kick the table?

Natalie couldn’t help but laugh and excitedly turned to Zane Thorne beside her.

"So this is how Felix gets jealous. But Quinn is an actress; kissing scenes are normal. If Felix gets mad every ti, wouldn’t he explode from anger?"

Zane made no comnt.

Any man would be angry seeing another man touching the one he likes. Never mind kissing, just seeing a love-filled embrace would be enough to drive him nuts.

Natalie blinked and asked again.

"What if I had a kissing scene with Julian today? Would you react like Felix?"

Standing to the side with a sullen face, not wanting to watch yet having to, and at the point of almost kissing, kicking over the table to interrupt the scene.

Zane let out a cold snort.

"You can try."

Kicking the table? He’d overturn the entire set.

But Natalie’s words did remind Zane: she is the third female lead; she surely has scenes with male actors. Thinking of this, the man’s brow furrowed.

"Do you have such scenes too?"

Natalie looked up at the man whose eyes were now filled with irritation, and blinked. If she rembered correctly, she had a scene with Julian Sutton in a few days. Though it wasn’t a kissing scene, they would have to hug. But Zane shouldn’t be there then, right?

With that thought, Natalie blinked again.

"No, I’m just a minor character."

Zane couldn’t tell if he believed her or not. He slightly bent down, supporting himself on the wheelchair’s armrests as if wrapping Natalie in his arms from behind, and nacingly whispered in her ear.

"Better not."

Natalie raised a hand to touch her ear, which had started itching. Zane’s possessiveness was as strong as ever. Since she was acting, she needed to have professional integrity! Anyway, as long as he wasn’t around when shooting, it would be fine.

Still, Natalie was dealing with Zane with an extrely perfunctory attitude at the mont.

"Alright, alright, got it."

Zane squinted at the girl’s unserious deanor, reaching out to pinch her reddening ear.

"Rember that, Mrs. Thorne."

Natalie rcilessly swatted his hand away.

"I’m here to learn how to act!"

Zane snorted again. Learn to act? Learn how to kiss other n?

But Natalie’s learning journey today was bound to be bumpy.

Felix either claid an itchy hand and kicked over a table, coughed so violently it seed like the entire world shook, or took a phone call and loudly berated the other party.

One had to wonder if he was subtly scolding soone else.

Regardless, after shooting three or four takes, Julian Sutton and Quinn Langley never actually kissed, always missing the final step.

Later on, it stopped being Felix causing a fuss, and instead, it was Quinn who ssed up at the last mont.

After several attempts, Director Gable was fuming inside but dared not speak. He had no idea what was up with Felix today. They had collaborated before, and back then, Felix was completely indifferent to anything on set—an aloof sugar daddy. Why had he beco such a troublemaker today?

So, Director Gable could only focus on Quinn’s mistakes.

"Langley, if you’re not in the right state, take a break first."

In all her years since debuting and becoming a best actress, Quinn Langley had never been spoken to like this by a director. But today was indeed partly her fault.

"I’m sorry, Director Gable."

Quinn rose and withdrew from the scene, her on-screen chemistry with Julian swiftly diminished. Seeing this, Felix finally relaxed his frown a bit. Quinn’s manager, knowing about her tangled history with Felix, brought her a down jacket and asked as they headed to the trailer.

"Why are you tangled with him again?"

Quinn took a sip of hot water to warm up and, hearing the manager’s words, had a mont of daze in her eyes before shaking her head.

"I don’t know."

She thought she had made everything clear; back then, she dumped Felix for her acting career, and it was indeed her fault. But over the years, Felix had had his revenge.

Her acting journey hadn’t been easy. What more did Felix want?

As she pondered, Quinn sighed, suddenly feeling a bit uncertain about her future. Was she really going to be entangled with Felix forever?

anwhile, seeing Quinn return to the trailer, Felix had no intention of staying any longer. He was basically here today just to get upset.

Director Gable approached, apologizing for the inexplicable situation.

"President Langdon, it might be too cold today; the actors aren’t in great shape."

Felix rely glanced at him, smirking coldly.

"It’s surprising that today’s films are so shallow, emphasizing the protagonists’ intimate scenes."

With that, Felix straightened his coat and left, leaving Director Gable bewildered as he stood there.

Why was President Langdon angry? He had sent this script to The Langdon Group for Felix to review personally. Why was it considered shallow now? There were fewer than three intimate scenes between the leads throughout the entire film! Besides, aren’t kisses and hugs the most natural expressions of affection?

Director Gable couldn’t comprehend it. He looked at the producer beside him, who was equally at a loss.

"Maybe it’s just that President Langdon was in a bad mood today?"

That was the only way to explain it. Director Gable raised a hand to pinch his forehead, perhaps showing his age. Having the sugar daddy visit the set left him feeling exhausted.

Thinking about it, Director Gable looked over at Natalie and Zane, noticing the aura of the man. He asked again,

"Do you know who Natalie’s husband is?"

The producer was confused and shook his head again.
