Natalie Vaughn frowned, threw the sword to the ground, and beckoned to Sumr Churchill.
This feeling was all too familiar to her, a typical ligant strain. She had previously injured herself during training when she wasn’t careful, and that ti she stayed in the hospital for half a month.
Natalie wasn’t sure about the extent of the strain and didn’t dare to move carelessly.
Sumr had already rushed over and quickly supported Natalie. Seeing Natalie’s pale face, her heart skipped a beat.
"Nina, how are you?"
Natalie couldn’t speak. The person unstrapping her wire harness was a bit rough, and Zoe Chandler, more experienced than Sumr, imdiately stopped the staff.
"The waist might be strained, be careful."
Since wire work requires core strength from the actor’s abdon and it’s a martial arts scene, the actor’s waist and hips are prone to injury. The crew also keeps a wheelchair around.
Director Gable saw the wheelchair being used and rushed forward.
"Vaughn, are you hurt?"
Natalie nodded, then looked at Laura Young, who was stunned on the spot. She could control it during practice, but why did sothing go wrong during the actual shoot?
Natalie couldn’t be wrong; the hatred in Laura’s eyes earlier wasn’t simply because of the role.
There was no martial arts guidance during actual shooting, and Laura clearly wanted to create such a scene deliberately. If Natalie hadn’t reacted quickly, the sword would have really stabbed her.
Even if it wasn’t a real sword, with such force, she would have suffered a lot. Natalie was in a terrible mood.
She tore up the pretense in front of the entire crew, even though she had never intended to maintain a friendly relationship with the so-called "family" of the company.
"If you can’t control such strength, why be an actor? Laura Young, you’d better not provoke . You might be careless, but I can be careless too. Don’t regret it if your face gets ruined."
Laura was dumbfounded.
She never imagined that Natalie would speak such words in front of so many people.
"Nina, what are you saying? I really wasn’t careful; I couldn’t help it."
Natalie’s disdainful look was obvious.
"Don’t call Nina, I find it disgusting. You know whether it was deliberate. If you don’t want to accidentally slip, behave yourself."
Director Gable’s face darkened upon hearing this.
He knew Laura’s skills from previous collaborations and never had such mistakes occurred. He was already suspicious, and after Natalie’s words, the situation seed more deliberate.
"What’s going on?"
Seeing this, Laura panicked,
She had just wanted to give Natalie a hard ti, so she didn’t use force when she should have, delaying it a second or two and losing control.
At the ti, she was also scared.
"Director Gable, I’ve shot so many action scenes; I know that any mistake can hurt soone. How could it be deliberate! I mistid it by two seconds because I haven’t shot an action scene in a long ti and was nervous."
Before Director Gable could speak, Zoe retorted coldly.
"You fild so many action scenes; how did you make a mistake just now?"
Laura is indeed an actress; she couldn’t withstand and tears began to flow, crying that she didn’t do it on purpose. With so many people on set, Laura being considered a big shot, this display was quite a joke.
Natalie found Laura’s noise giving her a headache and was too lazy to deal with it, glancing at Zoe, who imdiately understood her intention.
"Director Gable, Nina’s waist is strained; we should head to the hospital for examination."
Director Gable nodded repeatedly.
"Go quickly, don’t hesitate."
Jim Archer had already driven the car over.
Natalie’s pain was severe, and despite the cold weather, sweat was forming on her forehead.
"What’s Laura Young’s situation?"
She hadn’t encountered this person before and couldn’t figure out what grievance could have been between them.
"It might have sothing to do with ."
Hearing this, Natalie glanced at Zoe, raising an eyebrow slightly.
"Laura’s always wanted to manage her. My artists have been developing well over the past few years. Recently, one went solo to start a studio, freeing up a spot in my schedule that Laura has been pursuing. But I didn’t expect."
Natalie snorted coldly.
"Didn’t expect you to manage a relatively unknown newcor."
Zoe thought Laura was truly foolish.
There were many rumors about Natalie in the company, plus Theo Langdon calling her ’Sister-in-law’, everyone knew Natalie’s identity was not simple.
Whether related to Felix Langdon or not didn’t matter.
But generally, everyone maintained a wait-and-see attitude, not foolish enough to confront or ss with Natalie.
Laura had decent acting skills and could endure hardships, but was too shortsighted and emotional in so matters, which is why Zoe didn’t accept her request.
Indeed, not agreeing was the right call.
"I’ll discuss it with her agent."
Natalie wasn’t very concerned about Laura’s future developnt.
She looked at Jim Archer driving.
"Don’t ntion this to my brother."
"Miss, President Vaughn already knows."
"..."
Natalie turned to Zoe.
"President Langdon knows too."
"..."
It figured, Zane Thorne surely knew as well.
She no longer needed to feign being miserable; she truly was.
Natalie took the phone from Zoe and called Jas Vaughn back. However, what puzzled her was Zane Thorne’s lack of response.
No calls or ssages.
When she had only pretended to be injured, Zane had been pained over it; it didn’t make sense for him to have no reaction to real news of her injury.
Natalie suddenly had a thought; could Zane be coming over here? But she reconsidered; she’d only been here a day. If Zane rushed over, it’d seem too much like an obsessive romantic couple.
The pain was too severe, Natalie didn’t have the energy to think and was too lazy to bother.
Natalie stopped looking at her phone, closed her eyes to ease her waist pain.
After a while, Natalie suddenly opened her eyes.
"Can Laura Young earn a lot of money?"
Zoe was in contact with the hospital and paused upon hearing this.
"Not particularly; The Langdon Group has many more profitable talents."
Natalie nodded.
"Would changing the second female lead be troubleso?"
Zoe:...
"Naturally, it would be."
But if President Langdon intervened, any trouble could be resolved.
Moreover, Laura was part of The Langdon Group; transferring the second lead role to another company artist wouldn’t be too complex. Besides, the second lead’s role wasn’t particularly large, and filming had just started.
Changing people would bring so hassle, but it was absolutely doable.
Zoe initially thought her answer would let Natalie give Laura a break, but didn’t expect Natalie to close her eyes and casually say:
"Then change her."
Zoe paused.
"Shall I call President Langdon now?"
"No need, he knows what to do."
Natalie couldn’t stand any flaws, seeking revenge with intensity. Her pain was severe now, and her mood was adverse. If she hadn’t reacted quickly, it was uncertain if she could speak normally at this mont.
Even if she didn’t say anything, Felix Langdon knew what needed to be done.
Not to ntion, there was Zane Thorne.
