Zhang Lingying also understood she couldn’t really expect an answer from a cat, she just felt like there was sothing weighing her down and wanted to find soone to talk to.
She rembered sothing and picked up her phone to send a ssage to Ji Weitian.
Qin Nanyu and the others ca very suddenly today, and even though they hid it well, she could feel that they were hiding sothing from her.
Before they ca, Ji Weitian had called her many tis.
She didn’t ask then because she noticed Ji Weitian seed to have sothing she didn’t want Leng Jian to know.
Not long after sending the ssage, her phone rang.
It was a call from Ji Weitian.
"You noticed?"
"Yes." Zhang Lingying didn’t hide anything and asked directly, "What’s going on with you guys today? Your reactions were a bit strange, and you even winked at a few tis, I saw it."
There was silence on the other end of the call for a few seconds, and then Ji Weitian’s voice ca, "Was Lu Jing with you last night?"
Zhang Lingying was stunned, "How do you know?"
"Qin Nanyu was worried about your safety, afraid that Lu Xiao might cause you trouble, so he arranged for soone to secretly watch over you, accidentally discovering it." Ji Weitian briefly explained what happened today to Zhang Lingying, then added.
"Leng Jian cares about you a lot, he... treats you like a sister. We were all worried that if he saw you with Lu Jing, there might be a conflict, so we hurried over."
Ji Weitian only told half of the truth.
At that mont, Zhang Lingying’s mind was full of Lu Jing’s silent departure, not noticing anything off about her tone.
She hung up after getting clarity on what happened.
Just as she reached out to pick up Little Mirror, the doorbell rang again.
