Ji Family’s affairs were now quite straightforward, Mofeng was in charge of the company, while almost all household matters were dictated by Su Sui.
Su Sui, being the only wife in the Ji Family, wanted to sell an old villa, which was considered a trivial matter, and nobody would specifically inquire about it.
Only a talkative butler who knew the special significance of that villa questioned her, but was berated by Su Sui not to ddle, and no one else even dared to ntion it.
Now, when Mofeng directly questioned her in the mont, Su Sui’s eyes flickered as she squeezed out a fragile expression to explain herself.
"I know I was wrong for selling the villa behind your back, but recently, the Ji family’s businesses have faced a crisis and there was a financial shortfall. I just wanted to help you by selling off so idle properties. I didn’t know soone would use this to accuse ."
"Do you think I’m a fool?"
Mofeng’s voice sank as if sothing painful had been touched.
"There are so many villas owned by the Ji Family. Why did you choose to sell the old villa by the waterfront? Fine, you say you saw the Ji Family facing a crisis and wanted to help, but where is the money from the villa sale? I haven’t seen a penny of it."
"That was just a dilapidated old villa, without much room for appreciation in value; if it weren’t for its decent location, it wouldn’t fetch much money at all. I used it all for household expenses..."
Su Sui had not finished her sentence when Mofeng smashed the docunts he held at her, scolding.
"Don’t say that villa’s location isn’t excellent. That alone, with the dozens of valuable paintings collected inside it, which were the dowry left by Weitian’s mom, is worth a fortune. I said no one should touch them, but you dared to sell the villa behind my back and still speak so righteously in front of , it seems I have been spoiling you too much, letting you really think you are the master of the Ji family!"
"What if I did it on purpose?!"
Su Sui was hit by the docunts, but was not hurt, only her hair ca undone. But, at that mont, Mofeng’s words instantly changed her complexion.
Her eyes reddened and she lifted her head with a ghastly expression, hysterical.
"I may not compare to that woman, you’ve loved her for so many years, and even though she’s gone, you still linger on her, dreaming her na. What am I? A substitute?"

"I know you can’t bear to part with that villa, fearing it would bring back painful mories. You wouldn’t step foot in there, and had the butler guard it like a treasure. All these years, you insisted on keeping that villa in its original state. You do all this because you’re still waiting for that woman to co back one day, unwilling to believe she’s gone, that she doesn’t want you anymore... I’m purposefully not letting things go your way! Not only do I want her dead, but anything associated with her, I won’t leave a single piece. Since you married , I am the only Mrs. Ji here, and my daughter is the rightful young lady of the Ji family!"
"You’re insane!" Mofeng stared incredulously at Su Sui, as if seeing her true nature for the first ti.
Seeing beneath her docile surface, the venomous thoughts she harbored.
"I am insane, aren’t all of you Ji Family mbers crazy?" Su Sui lifted her head, laughing with tears twinkling at the corners of her eyes.
Gracefully, she raised her hand to wipe the tears from her eyes, then walked over to Ji Weitian, "Do you know why your father doesn’t like you?"
"..."
"Because your face, looking so much like your mother’s, reminds him of that woman who abandoned him, who would rather die than turn back..."
