Ji Weitian felt provoked and sowhat enraged, so she grabbed a blanket, covered her head with it, and pretended she couldn’t see the mocking smile lingering on his lips.

After a few seconds, sothing crossed her mind, and she pulled the blanket off her head, "You’ve even prepared a blanket, don’t tell there’s also food in the car?"

Upon hearing this, Qin Nanyu actually dropped the teasing curve at the corner of his mouth and gently nodded.

"The road we are taking is the closest one, but it is sparsely populated, and there are no shops where we can buy anything along the way. I was worried you might get hungry, so I brought so bread and snacks, which are on the seat behind you; you can just reach out and grab them."

"..."

Ji Weitian had asked casually, just trying to change the subject, and hadn’t expected to receive such a response.

She turned her head to look at the seat behind her, and indeed, she saw a black bag within easy reach.

She could not quite describe the feeling in her heart.

A sense of warmth from being ticulously cared for gradually crept up on her.

"Qin Nanyu, thank you," she suddenly said.

"..."

The hand Qin Nanyu had on the steering wheel tightened slightly, and he gave her a sowhat surprised sidelong glance, as if he didn’t know where her "thank you" was coming from.

He thought to himself that a bit of food and a thin blanket shouldn’t warrant such a formal expression of gratitude from her.

Ji Weitian didn’t explain, but instead just picked up the bag of food and fished out a pack of snacks.

In front of him, she tore it open, and when they stopped at a red light, she fed the first piece to his mouth.

Qin Nanyu was stunned.

He didn’t like snacks.

Yet, when he saw the chocolate she brought to his lips, almost as if possessed, he opened his mouth and ate it.

A bittersweet taste unfolded between his teeth and lips.

It wasn’t a flavor he liked, but for so reason, because of her, he didn’t find it unpleasant, and even thought it had a special taste.

"Long drives can be very tiring, eating so snacks can help replenish your energy," Ji Weitian put one in her own mouth too and, upon realizing it was chocolate, quickly grabbed a bottle of mineral water from beside her, opened it, and handed it to him.

"Do you not like chocolate? Drink so water; it will dilute the taste a bit."

Qin Nanyu looked at the water she passed to his lips, took a sip, and though he initially wanted to complain, ended up saying, "This chocolate doesn’t taste too bad."

"..."

Ji Weitian paused, lowered her head to look at the chocolate packaging in her hands, and silently noted down the brand.

Then she took another piece and tasted it carefully.

The flavor was good, but it didn’t seem that special—could it really be that Qin Nanyu found it delicious?

She rembered the last ti she saw Little Glutinous Rice Dumpling feeding him chocolate, and he had ntioned he didn’t like the taste.

Just now, she had felt the atmosphere was a bit awkward and wanted to shift their attention, so without paying attention, she had fed him the chocolate.

Unexpectedly, he liked it...

Ji Weitian snapped back to the mont and fed him another piece.

Then, the two of them ended up sharing the whole chocolate packet together, one piece after another.

By the end, Ji Weitian herself had forgotten that she actually didn’t really like the taste of chocolate; she used to be so busy with experints that she often forgot to eat.

Over ti, she had developed a problem with low blood sugar.

When she got busy, she would easily feel dizzy, so she always carried so candy and chocolate with her.

It helped her quickly replenish her sugar levels and energy when she felt unwell.
