Ji Weitian stepped forward, about to touch his face, when her cellphone suddenly buzzed in her hand.

She looked down and saw it was Leng Jian calling.

She quickly retracted her hand and left the room.

She walked back to the balcony and answered the phone.

"I’m so relieved you finally answered my call," Ji Weitian took the initiative to say, "I couldn’t reach you and was worried sothing had happened, I was about to co looking for you."

Upon hearing this, Leng Jian on the other end of the phone fell silent for a few seconds.

Ji Weitian couldn’t wait for a response and was just about to ask him what was wrong when she heard Leng Jian’s indifferent voice the next second, "Lu Jing asked out for coffee, and it wasn’t convenient to answer the phone in front of him."

"Lu Jing?"

Ji Weitian’s voice unconsciously revealed a bit of surprise, as if she couldn’t believe that Lu Jing would suddenly invite Leng Jian for coffee.

Leng Jian wasn’t one for pointless chatter, he had already guessed why Ji Weitian was so eager to contact him and decided, once he opened his mouth, to clarify everything, "Cindy, if I’m not mistaken, the person who has been using to get you to help with experints is from Re Group, and it seems Lu Jing has also figured out your identity. Where are you now? I would like to et you."

Upon hearing his words, Ji Weitian tensed up and replied without hesitation, "I’m at ho, where are you? I’ll co to you."

As soon as she finished speaking, she suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.

She paused, slowly realizing sothing, and turned around while holding her phone.

Sure enough, she saw Qin Nanyu leaning against the doorfra not far from the balcony.

He had just woken up, his black hair slightly disheveled, and his pajamas wrinkled. The buttons at the front were not fully fastened, exposing most of his chest, which looked incredibly tantalizing in the dim light.

At that mont, he stood with his arms crossed, looking at her coldly.

That gaze, it was like he was looking at an unfaithful lover.

So deep and resentful.

Did he hear everything?

Ji Weitian nervously pursed her lips, uncertain how much he had heard or understood, and for a mont didn’t know what to say.

It was Qin Nanyu, however, who locked eyes with her, the corners of his mouth curling into a mocking smile, "It seems I didn’t perform well last night. The mont I wake up, you’re ready to kick out."

Ji Weitian: "..."

Even though nothing had happened between them, hearing his words made her inexplicably feel like a love’em and leave’em kind of woman.

Just as she was about to say sothing, Qin Nanyu had already walked up to her, lifted her chin with his long fingers, and stared into her eyes, "No worries, to live comfortably, one must wear so green on their head—I forgive you."

Ji Weitian: "..."

Should she thank him for his generosity?

Heck! She hadn’t cheated, so why did she need his forgiveness?

Moreover, they weren’t in any sort of relationship, so even if she had done sothing, it wouldn’t count as cheating.

Ji Weitian was completely confused by his presumptuous attitude, and despite thinking it over, couldn’t understand what was happening.

In her ears echoed again the words of Kali.

"What about Young Master Yu? Do you like Young Master Yu?"

Ji Weitian’s heart skipped a beat, and her thoughts scattered.

From seeing him asleep in her bed to now standing in front of her, a question she had overlooked was slowly surfacing in her mind.

Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t even notice when Qin Nanyu had gone back to the room to brush his teeth, wash his face, and even changed his clothes.

"Aren’t you going to et your lover? Let’s go, I’ll take you."
