Ji Weitian was terrified.

She stood motionless in the elevator as if she were a primary school student punished to stand by the teacher, with a blank expression, staring at the man who had suddenly flirted with her.

She wasn’t foolish, although she initially hadn’t thought in that direction—she only keenly realized that Qin Nanyu’s attitude toward her was different from before.

She originally thought it was because of sothing that happened five years ago, that he wanted to make ands.

But Qin Nanyu approached her ti and again, taking advantage of her, which made her vaguely feel that sothing was off...

She had never been in love and didn’t know what it felt like to like soone.

She also wasn’t sure if she liked Qin Nanyu.

Thus, she dared not ask.

But now, he had said it...

Ji Weitian felt her heart beating a bit faster and always felt she should say sothing but didn’t know what she should say.

She watched as the elevator doors opened and then closed again.

It was getting late, and in the apartnt building, no residents were using the elevator, which stayed on the first floor.

Qin Nanyu didn’t rush her either but just stood in front of her, head slightly bowed, his dark eyes firmly fixed on her.

Until the elevator doors opened again and two people walked in; probably not expecting soone to be inside, the residents who had just entered looked sowhat peculiar, repeatedly sizing up the two of them, they forgot to press the elevator floor.

Ji Weitian snapped back to reality and rapidly pulled Qin Nanyu, rushing out before the elevator doors could close.

She stopped only when they reached the entrance of the community, leaning against a roadside tree, breathing heavily.

Regaining her senses, she realized she was still holding Qin Nanyu’s hand.

She looked up and saw his face didn’t look very well.

The night was beautiful; the bright moonlight passed through the treetops, casting soft light on his face, softening his sharp features and making him even more handso.

Even though he had scars on his face, sotis a man’s scars are like dals etched on his body.

They made him look even more virile.

She liked Qin Nanyu’s face.

Not just because it was handso, but also because of that subtle sense of abstinence when he didn’t smile.

A top student during their school days, combined with a cold deanor, he was the dream of every young girl’s youth.

She, too, had her monts of fantasy, only her way was a little different.

Back then, her goal was to beat him!

While Ji Weitian was still guessing if he was upset because she grabbed his hand, she heard the man’s low voice, "Ji Weitian, am I an embarrassnt to you?"

"Huh?" Ji Weitian was startled.

She hadn’t expected him to ask that and looked sowhat perplexed.

"It’s not because of that, why did you run?" Qin Nanyu asked again.

His pleasant voice carried a hint of obsession.

To think that for the first ti in his life he had mustered the courage to confess to soone, and not getting a response would have been acceptable, but when soone appeared, without thinking she dragged him and just ran.

It looked just like she was afraid of others knowing their relationship.

"I didn’t despise you..." Ji Weitian wanted to explain, but once she opened her mouth, she didn’t know what to say.

She hadn’t thought about clearly distancing herself from him; they even had a child together, so distancing herself wasn’t an option.

She just didn’t expect soone to suddenly enter the elevator, making the situation a bit awkward.

Just like when passing notes secretly during class, and suddenly a love note falls on the floor and is accidentally picked up by a classmate from the next desk.

Should she have stayed and let everyone laugh at her instead of running away?
