Ji Weitian thought that hearing such an answer would make her feel relieved, but inexplicably, her chest felt like it was pressed by a stone, making it even harder to breathe.

"Is Teacher Ji planning to go on a date with President Qin? There are so many photos of you two embracing each other on the school’s forum. I glanced at them, and you two really look like a handso man and a beautiful woman, a perfect match—so enviable."

"Eh, it’s this late already, how co President Qin hasn’t co to pick you up from work?" Lei Yunjia seed to rember sothing, pulled his head back from leaning on the door fra, and looked down the hall to glance downstairs.
President Qin’s car had co and gone several tis, and basically, everyone in the lab recognized it.
Lei Yunjia didn’t see it downstairs and curiously turned back to ask Ji Weitian, "Could it be that President Qin is as busy as you and forgot about the ti? Do you want to give him a call?"
Ji Weitian t his concerned gaze, her eyes dimming as she suppressed the complex emotions in her heart and calmly replied, "The photos on the school’s forum are a misunderstanding, and the person I’m eting for dinner isn’t Qin Nanyu. I’m actually not familiar with him."
"Ah?" Lei Yunjia was stunned. After snapping back to reality and seeing the unease on Ji Weitian’s face, he realized he might have said sothing wrong and hastily made an excuse about going to eat to scurry away.
Ji Weitian walked out of the file room and instinctively glanced downstairs.
When she realized she was looking for Qin Nanyu, she pursed her lips, her chest feeling even more suffocated.
Her steps downstairs felt unusually heavy.
She walked alone to the place where Qin Nanyu normally parked his car, just about to call Leng Jian on her phone when a car suddenly stopped in front of her.
Ji Weitian was startled at first but then looked up cheerfully, "How did you get here..."
Before she could finish, she recognized that the car in front of her was not Qin Nanyu’s, and her smile froze on her lips.
The car door opened, and Leng Jian was the first to get out from the driver’s seat, wearing casual gray and white attire that made his already handso features stand out even more.
He wasn’t wearing a hat today, and his flaxen short hair shone spectacularly under the setting sun.
Upon seeing Ji Weitian, he didn’t imdiately approach her but first opened the back seat of the car, allowing her to see her two treasures.
"Mommy!"
"Mama!"
Ruirui and Yaoyao called out one after the other.
It was only then that Leng Jian stepped forward, pinched Ji Weitian’s dazed cheek, and asked, "What were you saying to just now?"
