Ji Weitian arrived at the doctor’s office and inquired in detail about Qin Nanyu’s condition.

It was pretty much the sa as what the family doctor had said. Only, for so unknown reason, his back had been injured again and he needed several days of rest to recover.

Seeing Ji Weitian inquire about Qin Nanyu’s condition, the doctor misunderstood their relationship and stopped her, diligently instructing her on many aspects to be mindful of when caring for a patient.

"Limit his movent, make absolutely sure he doesn’t twist his waist again, and regarding his diet, have him eat more nutritious food. You young people these days, only focus on work, completely disregarding your health. Even in the hospital, you’re still unwilling to stop work, busy all day long. How do you expect your condition to improve quickly?"

"Qin Nanyu is still handling work in the hospital?" Ji Weitian was stunned by the doctor’s reprimand and blinked blankly.

The attending physician was an elderly man with graying temples.

On hearing this, he imdiately snorted coldly, "You should ask him how many minutes he’s actually rested since he’s been admitted here. I’ve never seen a patient so careless with his own body!"

"..."

Ji Weitian had always thought that Qin Nanyu was feigning illness.

Her main reason for visiting him at the hospital was because of her daughter.

Only a small part of her was genuinely worried that sothing had happened to him.

In her heart, she mostly believed that Qin Nanyu was putting on a show and feigning illness to gain sympathy.

It hadn’t crossed her mind that he was truly ill and still working through it.

When she left the doctor’s office, Ji Weitian’s expression turned complex, hesitating about whether she should treat him a little better out of pity when she saw Qin Nanyu.

"Miss Ji, you’re back," Assistant Song, who was waiting at the door of the patient’s room, eagerly greeted her upon seeing her.

Ji Weitian hadn’t tried to hide the fact that she went to ask the doctor about Qin Nanyu’s condition, and since the assistant could tell, she didn’t feel the need to explicitly explain it. Instead, she simply asked, "Is Qin Nanyu asleep?"

"There are so docunts from the Group that couldn’t be delayed, the boss is signing them right now," the assistant respectfully reported.

Through the small window in the door of the patient’s room, Ji Weitian could clearly see that Qin Nanyu was indeed as the doctor had described, not at all regarding himself as a patient and still working overti despite being sick.

The thick stack of files piled in front of him suggested that it would take at least an hour or two of busy work before he could stop.

She narrowed her eyes slightly, walked past the assistant, and pushed open the door to enter.

She went straight up to Qin Nanyu and closed the file in front of him.

She neatly stacked all the contracts that were before him and then asked the assistant to co in and take them all away.

"Miss Ji..."

The assistant was surprised by her actions and quickly looked towards Qin Nanyu, seeking his opinion.

Of course, Ji Weitian knew that her wish for Qin Nanyu to rest was predicated on his own willingness to do so.

She pursed her lips and earnestly lectured him.

"You are a patient, not a robot. Can’t you stay put for two days even when you’re sick? Is Qin Technology Group’s managent system so fragile that it would collapse without the CEO for two days?" Ji Weitian asked with righteous indignation.

That was a question Qin Nanyu couldn’t answer.

No matter how he replied, it was his problem.

Especially at this mont when Ji Weitian was showing rare concern for him, he didn’t want to interrupt her at all.

The assistant, reading the room, saw that his own boss was willing to throw all dignity to the Pacific Ocean just to let Ji Weitian worry about him, and silently stepped forward to take away all the docunts in front of Qin Nanyu.

As soon as the assistant left the room, Qin Nanyu imdiately closed the distance between him and Ji Weitian, his dark eyes intense, "Ji Weitian, were you just worried about ?"
